Today I am 70 years old and I can boast that I have been enjoying these great moments in instrumental music for over 55 years. Congratulations to everyone who appreciates and thanks for sharing
Except Bob Bogle is playing lead now whereas Nuckie used to do all that complicated fret work. Wondering if a bit of age related arthritis caught up to Nuckie before his death?
My father introduced me to the Universe of Music with an LP of Ventures in late 70s. Since then I am a huge fan of Ventures. You people were indescribable ❤
The Ventures: An enduring band that spans more than 5 decades! They were always able to adapt to the current music of the times, and yet preserve their own unique sound! Amazing band! And Mel Taylor's son plays drums like his father!
Love the Ventures been listening since I was 10 years old, at present I am over 60 years. Great instrumental band after the Shadows. From Kathmandu-Nepal.
Love the Ventures. They play a perfect r'n'r instrumental material. TECHNICALLY, they've been real foreseekers with sounds effects and others. The drummimg is amazing for this early time . Upon that I think that instrumental rock of the early 60's is mostly underrated. Actually it is a kind of music based on a smooth solo legato followed by a very peculiar rythm guitar which gather riffs and scratching pizzicati. No mistakes allowed, very difficult to play, Ventures roll their magic carpet with brio . Thanks for this video whith a gorgeous sound!
Real class, real gentleman, always respected one another, they never tried to out shine the other, thats real professionalism. Don’t see that much today. I’m so grateful I was alive during this time. My father loved them as well, and because of them he gave us the opportunity to take guitar lessons and one of my brothers ,drum lessons, he’s gone now, but thanks Dad, for a gift that keeps giving. Ventures rule, and always will.
Ventures have been my favorite band since my school days in 60's. They are so talented that they make things look easy. They are known for their neat appearance and also for their impecable behavior. God bless them.
When these guys were playing "Walk Don't Run", you knew you got the real arrangement and the real group. They must have been one of the groups who stayed together with original members as long as any in the era.
This, CCR, and Dwayne Eddie were the first taste of music I had. I walked around listening to all my Dads albums when I could barely walk...with those big 70's cans, with a 30ft phone cord attached. lol Music has always been my life.
Unbelievable!!!!! Love "The Ventures" soo much!!!! My brother (died at 2020) was a great fun of them...... And now, I'm 62 years old, I know what he means......... !!!!! Great music of a super instrumental group...............
So many fond and sweet memories coming in flooding my mind and heart everytime I hear them playing! Simply loved their music!!! Thanks for uploading !💞
Absolutely lovely! This music never dies! My dad started with listening to this when 13 years old, I'm from 1972 and still love old music, actually its timeless! So much passion and honesty in it! Gorgeous!😎 🎸🖤 yay for telecaster!
Two songs in my life have absolutely transformed and improved my love of playing---this and of course most anything Chuck Berry played! :) I annoyed anyone within ear range playing the 45 until it finally wore out!
I am currently lying on hospital bed because of pneumonia.. thank you for bringing such a beautiful praise and worship.. I am thankful for all the things happening in my life and I also believe that God is with me all the way, even though there are times when I doubt His existence.. but He is always here.. teach me Lord to be more like You..
Keep the faith brother, don't let the enemy tell you otherwise. Remember, he is like a lion looking for someone to devour ! God bless you and give you wisdom.
The Ventures produced the quintessential surf music for the 60's and early 70's, and unless I've missed something, there's been nothing like it since. Great times they were, not a care in the world.
No, there hasn’t been anything quite like The Ventures since. What those groups that did follow them tried to do was to recreate “The Ventures” sound in their own groups. Some got it better than others, but none to such perfection.
I remember listening to this on weekends as my dad would around the house, and my mom would be vacuuming and cleaning. Too be young again.........😋😋😋😋😋😋
In late seventies my brother introduce me to this music, first THE VENTURES then I took pleasure on the american music since then I enjoyed all of it. (from Mexico)
I have listen to these guys since i was in grade school and I am 60 yrs young and still listen to then today. Their music will never grow old. Long live The Ventures.
The Ventures were really big in Japan. Leon Taylor has the same crisp style as his dad Mel. On I Got A Woman, that is about the best finger pickin' on an electric guitar I have ever heard. Nokie hadn't lost a step in all these years.
The Ventures Harmony Park and Rondavos Ball room Newport Beach, and Dick Dale! The 60's and 70's were the days! We danced the night away ! 💕💕💕💕👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
ES UN EXELENTE GRUPAZO ...PERO DIFIERO Q SEA DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS....AHI ESTAN VARIOS MAS DE SU EPOCA ,COMO THE SHADOWS SANTO AND JOHNNY FARINA ...RAIFF CONIFF...Y MUCHOS MAS!!!!?
What i can say is...this all old man can play with eye blind for sure. They played with heart. And they are really real musicians and this is what we call art of music.
When you bought a Ventures LP, you also got with it an instructional booklet on how to play the songs on guitar. The Ventures therefore directly contributed to the aspirations of tens of thousands of wanna be guitarists. In about 1962, when I was about 9 years old, my dad was stationed at Tachikawa AFB in Japan. One day at the USO club, a band of young GIs was practicing in the music room. One of the songs was Pipeline. I asked how they were able to play that run of so many notes so quickly, and they showed me the soft pick. I was hooked! On my next birthday, I got my first guitar. In the 60s, every high school band that I ever heard played at least one of their songs. God bless them all!
The original drummer, Mel Taylor, passed away many years ago. The drummer you see now is his son Leon, whom I'm proud to say carries on his dad's tradition in fine form!! Keep on rockin'!!
Love seeing and hearing a legacy passed on. Make those sticks bounce a beat. My son also filled the shoes of his father on the drums.RIP to all musicians who have left us, and thank you for leaving a part of yourselves for generations to come.🎶
When its come to the music I'm one who really admire coz I Am a music lover specially the ADVENTURE GROUP very interesting remembering when I was in my high school days , even though I am old enough still I love this kind of music and very interesting good job 👍❤️🍡🥰
Wow! What a blast from the past! Their "Surfing" album was the first stereo LP I bought way back in 1964. I had that LP with me all the time I was in the merchant navy - it went round the world with me - I still have it! Pipeline, Perfidia - two of the best! 😎😎😎
This live was held at Hibiya Public Hall in Tokyo in January 2004, and is broadcast nationwide by the Japanese national broadcaster "NHK". A DVD has also been released, but several songs such as Telstar have been cut.
I was just walking down my driveway and seemingly out of no where I began humming the song “Walk Dont Run”. I couldn’t remember the name, probably haven’t heard it in 40 years or more. Frustrated that I couldn’t remember the name or artist but then like magic it just came to me. Wasn’t sure if I was correct but I typed it in on RUclips and sure enough this concert and an original version came up. Wow! Was I pumped up. Where do these thoughts pop in from? I’m thrilled and call my buddies that grew up in the 60’s with me. Rock On 🤘 Sh the 60’s,., if you can remember them, you weren’t there. 😊
Today I am 70 years old and I can boast that I have been enjoying these great moments in instrumental music for over 55 years. Congratulations to everyone who appreciates and thanks for sharing
i am 69 and love this music
I am 68 and really love to play this music for long long years!
Like wise

Mam 61 lat słucham tej muzyki i sam też gram i życie wtedy jest piękniejsze
Even at their ages these guys play as fresh as when they were in their 20’s. Been a fan since the 60’s!
Except Bob Bogle is playing lead now whereas Nuckie used to do all that complicated fret work. Wondering if a bit of age related arthritis caught up to Nuckie before his death?
This takes me back. I miss the 60's. Life was so much more simple and laid back......of course, I was a little kid.
My father introduced me to the Universe of Music with an LP of Ventures in late 70s. Since then I am a huge fan of Ventures. You people were indescribable ❤
The Ventures still play WDR as if it was the first time they performed it. So refreshing and innocent. Thanks boys.
Nobody puts together a more lively well played compilation of guitar instrumentals than the masters of the guitar “The Ventures”
Thank you ventures !!! Best instrumental group ever . Missed never forgotten . Thanks for all the videos…Remembering the 1960’s ….
American Ventures and British Shadows are two great bands. Thanks for your music and give so wonderful memory.
Wow...
I'm from Costa Rica. ... and Ventures are essential when you go to the Beach. .perfect music for perfect landscapes... I love VENTURES
The Ventures: An enduring band that spans more than 5 decades! They were always able to adapt to the current music of the times, and yet preserve their own unique sound! Amazing band! And Mel Taylor's son plays drums like his father!
Absolutely great music! I'm 72 now and I'll never forget these great tunes!
Enjoying the moment, grasping fleeting youth, and playing knowing that life is short.
Love the Ventures been listening since I was 10 years old, at present I am over 60 years. Great instrumental band after the Shadows. From Kathmandu-Nepal.
Yeah 👍😎
RIP, Don Wilson. Thanks for the great times --and the greatest music.

I love them!! This takes me back to my teenage years!!❤️😃
These guys were the very best of all time for an instrumental rock and roll group. Nobody else was even in their class.

American "Shadows" .... :) do they still play Mosrite guitars they advertised on their LP's?

You forget the Chantay's "Pipeline"
Some really down to earth good old music, they groups were the real thing. Growing up with this music kind of locks you in a grove.
God Bless Don Wilson RIP🙏
So talented so much energy!
What a great influence!
It’s great to see these guys still performing. I’m 72 and remember them from my teens. We played some of their stuff in my band.

My father bought The Ventures Telstar LP for me when I was a teenager... I love every songs on that album and I miss my father
I still remember this sound when i was in grade school ....love this!
This was the group that inspired me to start playing guitar. Thanks guys for the great music.
Ventures have been my favorite band since my school days in 60's. They are so talented that they make things look easy. They are known for their neat appearance and also for their impecable behavior. God bless them.
I bought every LP they put out, they were my favorite Performers. I played their music on my stereo and drove my family crazy.
When these guys were playing "Walk Don't Run", you knew you got the real arrangement and the real group. They must have been one of the groups who stayed together with original members as long as any in the era.
I was a teen in the 60s…graduated 1964…this was my music! 😊
I graduated in 1964 also & this was my music also
This, CCR, and Dwayne Eddie were the first taste of music I had. I walked around listening to all my Dads albums when I could barely walk...with those big 70's cans, with a 30ft phone cord attached. lol Music has always been my life.

The VENTURES remind me of my 20th years in 1970'. Their sounds are always great!
The best version of the best song from the VENTURES!!!!!!
I love to see classic bands still together and that they haven't self-destructed like so many others!
I love it these guys come from a time when a bass drum was a bass drum not every single beat
Without doubt the greatest instrumental group ever
Absolutely lovely! This music never dies! My dad started with listening to this when 13 years old, I'm from 1972 and still love old music, actually its timeless! So much passion and honesty in it! Gorgeous!😎 🎸🖤 yay for telecaster!

Two songs in my life have absolutely transformed and improved my love of playing---this and of course most anything Chuck Berry played! :) I annoyed anyone within ear range playing the 45 until it finally wore out!
I like how they switch off of bass and lead so easy. True artists.
You never find this kind of music anymore its timeless classic!

The Ventures original drummer was Howie Johnson. He quit after the first album, thinking they were going no-where. Big mistake.
