This is the infamous 1968 Volkswagon Beetle that was used by Ted Bundy in a series of crimes that shocked the world in the 1970's. This car was customized by Bundy to carry out a series of murders by one of the most vile serial killers the United States has ever seen. This car was purchased by and is on display at Alcatraz East Crime Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

I own a 68 just like his and as much as I love it I never feel safe about something in the car NOT breaking down. I'd never do long trips, let alone driving a zillion miles carrying bodies with me 😆

I think about that when I see it….those women were real people and their last terrified moments happened right inside those metal walls.
