    Makes a ton of sense! Getting my eyes opened after 30+ years of struggling with the modern golf swing and instruction. So excited about this as I try to ingrain the positions. Thanks Todd!

    Just FYI. I’ve been a single planer for 10 months (ish. Allowing for multiple lockdowns etc). It’s only been this year (March) that I really worked on it. Last week I shot 35 (front nine, Letchworth GC. England). This is 7 under par to my handicap. I’m hitting it further but far more importantly, straighter than ever before. At 58 and a12.5 handicap I want to thank you for the instruction. BTW, I’m still shite out of the bunkers (even having bought a Sandy Andy). Fortunately, as I’m hitting it straighter I’m rarely in a bunker. But I’ll work on it.
    Thanks Graves Golf. And thanks Moe 🏌️‍♂️

    Todd, love your instruction. I recommend your channel to anyone who will listen. I am a 62 year old 7 HDCP. Been playing for nearly 50 years. Never had a lesson, except for the school of hard knocks on the course. Shot my all time low score of 66 eighteen months ago. Then I discovered your channel. Am in the process of changing over to the single plane. Just wanted to say thanks to you and Moe.

    Todd, bought the book and watched half of your videos. I can not thank you enough! You have made golf fun again! I was doing a single plain golf swing that I came up with, but it was all arms. I also didn’t cock my wrists at the the top of my swing. As you could imagine I lost a lot of distance but kept it fairly accurate. You had the final piece to my swing and added 60 yards of distance to my driver.

    We are lucky to have a guy that knew how to pick Moe’s brain. I wish I had known Moe 55 years ago. Never too late to try something different if it works. You have a wealth of knowledge Todd, watching all your videos and hitting balls. Would love to make it to Ok. To have a few lesson. After playing 55 years with a two plane swing, the one plane is a lot easier to learn. I can hit the ball harder now by keeping that right foot down and also straighter. ( I always fought coming over the top.)

    Thanks Todd. Great foundational stuff here.
    I attended my first 1-day Single Plane Experience school earlier this month in Maryland. Working on my SPS swing, short game and putting every day. It's slowly happening, coming around, improving every day.
    Played a round yesterday. Hit 1 bad driver off the tee, out of 14 driver holes. Chipping was the best it's ever been. Had several birdie putts under 10 feet. It's all due to the SPS and getting my swing closer to The Model day by day. Long way to go, but it is truly a great feeling -- thanks again, Todd!

    Hey Todd really enjoy your videos. Biggest change to my swing and rotation was a tip I heard from Moe a week ago. I’ve been struggling for 8 years with getting my weight into my lead side and rotation, I couldn’t understand how to use the ground and catch my weight in my lead side until I heard Moe say “you gotta keep your front knee flexed”. I tried it and it has made the biggest impact as far as power, accuracy, and consistency of anything I’ve ever done with my swing before. I can feel the ground now with my feet and am finally using it to push off of, forever I’ve been straightening my lead knee while trying to transfer my weight and it had me stuck and flipping my arms through the hitting zone. Now my legs and leading and rotation is 100x better. I know Moe talked and thought that he didn’t rotate, but clearly he had great hip rotation. I’m not a single plane guy but there so much useful information in Moe it’s crazy. Just wanted to ask you if you’d ever make a video about what Moe would do with buried lies in bunkers? In fact everything he thought about bunker play would be amazing. I know some videos exist of him somewhere but would you ever make an in depth one? Thanks man keep up the great work.

    Great stuff.
    Had 5 of 6 positions working yesterday after a rest 14 years of no Moe Swing and a couple off days of tips... at about 105ml/hr Except the Bent Lead leg... And hense the slight strain in the back. Ha ha. I thought, wow, after hitting balls, this seemed a bit exhaustive on the body...
    So at high speed (and any speed) right foot down was key, and, braced lead knee is required also to save technique shots and the body.
    Great content, Todd. 6 Positions model is so excellent (and driver foot alignment - closed).
    Yesterday's session felt like a Mechanic working on known positions. To be continued

    Todd,
    The last point about always reverting back to the model cannot be overstated and NEVER trying to ‘self-correct’. In systems thinking, making adjustments based on the last one or two outcomes is called ‘tampering’ and actually increases variability, decreases consistency, and makes outcomes worse.
    Going right back to the model is the fastest way to get back on track. I’ve found it works every time. Great stuff and can’t be emphasized enough!

    My wife and I just returned from a golf trip in South Carolina, we played five rounds and I played the most consistent in years thanks to the single plane golf swing and your instruction, thank you Todd. Don’t get me wrong, I had the occasional hook into the tree line but I was able to walk away with no worse than a bogey on those holes and I have eliminated the right side miss! I’m a true believer of staying with the model and NOT self-correcting on the course, I didn’t panic and really tried to focus on the fundamentals of the single plan golf swing and it saved me.

    While I admittedly still need more work, I can't express how big of a deal your #5 is in this video. KNOWING the SPS works is very reassuring on the course when you hit a rough stretch. Hit it right or left, top it, chunk it? Now instead of overcompensating to correct something I didn't really understand in the first place, I KNOW what the model is and can just try to re-set and go back to it. Great stuff as always.

    This point may not mean anything but in the reply to question 1 there is a lot of reference to arm rotation or hand rotation. Technically you cannot rotate your hand. At least independently. Your hand is fused to your arm so it only rotates when your arm rotates. I only bring this up if there is question about what is actually rotating .
    Once again,a very great video Todd. The way you explain things makes the swing motion so much easier to understand. Thanks again.

    After almost 30 years of golfing, I am going to try and transition to a single plane swing this season.
    I haven’t been able to hit any balls yet, just practice swings trying to get the feel and keeping my lower body in a stable position.
    So far I think I am getting the hang of it all, but I am feeling tension in my right knee. (I am right handed). My old way of swinging, my right foot comes off the ground much earlier than the new way. when I am “rolling” my right ankle trying to keep it planted longer, I am getting some tension in my right knee.
    Just wondering if this is normal, for any of the others out there making the moe normal switch.

  • @jeffcaminiti162
    @jeffcaminiti162 3 года назад

    Todd, do you think that right side bend will be changing throughout the dynamic motion of the swing? For instance: if you started at say 16 degrees of right side bend at address, as you complete your backswing, you might be in 16 degrees of left side bend, (32 degree change) and then at impact you are in 20 degrees of right side bend. (36 degree change from top of backswing)?

    • @ToddGravesGolf
      @ToddGravesGolf  3 года назад

      Yes - of course. Sidebend is both negative and positive. It changes as you move.

    • @jeffcaminiti162
      @jeffcaminiti162 3 года назад

      @@ToddGravesGolf so even if you start in side bend, wouldn’t you come out of right side bend(rh golfer) in the backswing and then have to get back into right side bend on the way down?

    • @ToddGravesGolf
      @ToddGravesGolf  3 года назад

      @@jeffcaminiti162 Good question. Yes, however, the sidebend establishes the position of the body and spacing from the ball. The sidebend allows the alignment of the club with the lead arm and trail arm. This establishes the most efficient position to start and makes the swing and impact easier.

      The SPS works if you are serious about wanting to improve. Once you decide that, as I did, the SP alignment trainer is critical to developing (and maintaining) your progress. I still use it at the range every time as a check because it can be easy to revert to bad habits. It was definitely worth it if you are serious about improving.

      A bit sad really because if Todd and his brother were really interested in more people taking up and spreading the word about Moes swing, they would of made it a reasonable price.
