I never practice at the range without the Alignment Ball Trainer (ABT). It is incredible how it keeps you correct at setup and the ‘feel’ on the course becomes more natural. It also helps avoid ball creep. Correct setup may not be everything but it’s damn close.
Good morning, Just a heads up to Canadian's, the total price for the trainer and chipping trainer delivered was $ 260.00 CAD I bought these to support Todd because of all of the years of free advice on here that really helped my swing, and of course to have a training aid for over the winter to keep my swing in place. But with our bad dollar, tax, delivery and duty it really added up. Wish it was all going to him instead.
Your alignment tool will be in my bag next week. I have already improved 50 percent just watching you on RUclips and spending an hour on the range the last 30 days. I'm loving the game again! Thanks Todd!
Crazy how widening the stance affects the impact position. I realized it about a year ago during one of my practice sessions focused on BP. Truly helps people, practice wide and narrow, you'll feel it big time, especially if you go from very slow to very fast swings.
This most likely explains why my 5iron tends to go straight but right, but not all the time. Todd even seen one of my video shots where I hit the 5iron dead straight. I need to play around more with my ball position.
Morning, love your videos and explanation. Been down to 6hcp but as ive got older i've not got the speed or rotation and i'm more comfortable changing from 2 plane to single plane. The issue im having is that putting the club head a distance behind ball at address sets me up very nicely and easy to come back square, but i find the bad shot is a straight thin as with the tilt and setup i occasionally get up and out of the shot early. Any thoughts on how with the address and takeaway you teach i can try and eliminate this.
Hi Todd, I bought the ball position ruller from you but I am a short person only 163cm tall. It seems it does not suit to me. Any advice on that matter? Thank you very much
Next can you discuss is ball flight. Use 9 iron example again and say high flight and wider stance, how does that effect squaring the face and likewise with lower flight, with narrow stance. Thank you for the great content and I’m a one planer because of you.
I am trying to wrap my head around the shoulder position relative to the ball. Would it be correct to say that the shoulder should be about where you want club to bottom-out on the downswing? So, the shoulder is behind the ball with the driver, but in front of the ball with most of the other clubs (hybrids, irons)? I just ordered the alignment tools (short and long game). John
The trail foot adjustments for irons seem minor. Without looking (trying to memorize the move) I’ve been taking W-7 position and doing a trail foot 1 toe slide for 5-6 and 2 toe slide for 3-4. Each move seems to keep left side alignment with nose over ball. I don’t want my alignment/ball position to be an educated guess. Quite frankly, I want it to be a choreographed dance. Am I on the right track?
Hello My name is Richard from the UK. I'm following your nuts and bolts series and progressing well. A question: Because of the natural arc that the swing gives you, is it best suited to using hybrid irons?
Is the ball position supposed to move throughout the zone for the various irons, or are they all supposed to be at the iron ball position marked on the board?
What would be the better way to adjust for different ball flights such as higher/lower? Move the ball forward/backward and maintain recommended stance width, or keep the ball position and adjust the stance width to move the lead shoulder forward/backward? How did Moe do it?
@themattymoshow yeh it should still work. Check out Hogan's radial stance, he opened and closed but also widened and narrowed his stance for each club 👌🏽
Trying to purchase with link and it isn't working. After filling in the form address and credit card part the form will not go to a valid website for purchase.

I'm taking my 14 year old daughter through your 14 day challenge. So I showed her this video to help supplement the 14 day challenge. So when you are ready to take a shot and you want to determine your correct stance on the course, couldn't you get into impact position to determine your shaft lean and if it is incorrect for the club, wide or shorten your stance accordingly and then take the shot? Obviously you wouldn't do that in competitive play.
Follow up: If you wanted to draw or fade the ball, would you want to adjust your stance width to promote whatever shot you are trying to execute and aim accordingly?
@@williamw.whitleymaisraccim9387 Mo Norman said To hit the ball straight. No need for a draw or fade. The single plane swing is mostly for that thought. You could open or close the face I assume if you wanted to draw

Yes I agree, I really hope I can get one over here on the UK. Glad it is working for you.
Thanks
I'm a GSEM TGM authorized instructor. Moe was the golfing machine before the golfing machine was published. His swing was/is the ideal to strive for.
The training aid is definitely worth the money spent. Helped out with the swing. Hardest one to hit is a hybrid for some reason
This alignment tool rocks. I have been using for 6 months.
Thanks Todd- your explanation is concise as always. Keep up the great explanations into swing mechanics.

I have the your ball position trainer. I’m pretty short about 5’ 3” should I make a adjustment in stance length.
Keep ball in correct position. Just narrow stance a bit for each club.
I’m 6’5”. Will the training aid set me up to narrow because of my increased height?
Great video! What is the code?
Discount it already applied to the link. Thanks.
Awesome, thank you! @@ToddGravesGolf
Great video
So if you play all hybrids 3-9 would you still do shaft lean.
Yes. But it will be less than the iron equivalent.
@@ToddGravesGolf ok thank you. Love the videos. I have been watching all of them. Been working on transitioning to the single plane so much easier.

no.
Thank you for the quick response re hybrid irons. Can you briefly explain why. Thank you.
Hi Todd, I live in the UK
Is it possible to get one of those ball position tool?
can you email me a toddg@gravesgolf.com and I can try to work that out. Thx.
Is the ball position supposed to move throughout the zone for the various irons, or are they all supposed to be at the iron ball position marked on the board?
Start with IBP for every iron & just adjust your right foot position. Use the zone for 3, 4 and 5 woods.
What would be the better way to adjust for different ball flights such as higher/lower? Move the ball forward/backward and maintain recommended stance width, or keep the ball position and adjust the stance width to move the lead shoulder forward/backward? How did Moe do it?
There’s a video Todd has done that explains this
Does a persons hight make a difference to the width.
If I didn’t do the single plane swing, but still followed this, would it work as effectively?
Who Knows.

I'm short 5'5. Wouldn't the ABT trainer have my feet too wide?
No because you can vary your stance a bit whether the markings are on the inside or outside of the trail foot.
