Overlays made with @kangaskdan 's help! Thanks Dan!
Challenge Results: docs.google.co...
Chat/Comment Guidelines:
1: Respect each other, do not intentionally cause arguments and diffuse the situation immediately.
2: Please no backseat gaming. If I need help, I will ask the chat for help. A lot of the fun for myself and the viewers is coming up with the strategies on my own and solving problems in my own unique way.
3: Listen to the creator. If I say stop, I mean stop, and move the discussion on.
4: Please don't reference other creators' in-jokes and running gags in the comments. Just as much as I wouldn't like another creator using my lore, I would find it disrespectful to use other creators' lore.
5: Moderators' and streamer's decisions are final.
The Rules:
1: The timer starts when walking away from Professor Elm after receiving the starter Pokémon.
2: Only the Challenge Pokémon may participate in battle.
3: No items in battle, except Balls from the bag.
4: No evasion-increasing TMs, and no Rest and Sleep Talk TMs until every other option has been exhausted.
5: No intentional uses of glitches or exploits, except the Teleport glitch after the SS Aqua.
6: No Rare Candies until facing Red. Rare Candies will be used in a 3-3-4 pattern.
7: Timer may be paused for breaks in recording, but no inputs may be made when the timer is paused.
8: Save states are permitted in the overworld, but no save states may be used mid-battle.
9: If the challenge Pokémon faints, the previous save state must be reloaded and progress regained.

It's a public holiday today in my part of the United Kingdom, so instead of the usual 2pm stream, we're having a bonus little backport!
Awesome work Squidgy
Ziggzagoon's sprite is adorable
It looks kinda between gen 2 and 3
Damn, Belly Drum Stab Return Crit on Red Charizard was a little disrespectful
It REALLY was!
0:45 damn that is an extremely well made sprite
Great run! Linoone is an absolute beast!
Great to see Linoone getting some much needed Love after decades of being an HM user.
Linoone can definitely hold its own! I was very impressed with how well the entire challenge went!
Please never stop making videos
Lmao I remember the time waaaaaay back when Scott’s thoughts used MDB’s helix fossil slogan a couple times before getting scolded and apologizing, he’s come such a long way
The question isn't, "will STAB Return and Belly Drum be good?" but rather, "how good will STAB Return and Belly Drum be?"
Amazing video and sprites
For some reason I thought Linoone was Gen 2 for a second. Had to do a double take. Just seems like such a staple.
Obstagoon run soon, to compete with this incredible Linoone run!
Nice sprite!
I think if we have backport on the regular, they should get their own tier list, it makes the most sense in my eyes.
If the series continues past occasional one-off special challenges, then we'll absolutely give all the Pokémon their own leaderboard!
Awesome as usual
Cheers Matt!
Cool run
Thanks for clarifying the part of the content creator request you mentioned in the Venomoth video. You're the only liar with the flyers content creator, as it should be.
Nice backport! I would definitely say do as many as you can reasonably, but that's imho.
Great content as usual!
Love the video you out done yourself again mate perfect
Stripey boi
I wanna dip my hands into ORAS. And im excited to see how Linoone does in gen 2
I think my clock is running slow, surely it's not 2pm already 😮
Looking forward to this backport, linoone is known in gen 3 for sweeping the elite 4 with belly drum and extremespeed and both of those exist in gen 2
Edit: What a beautiful run. Belly drum is so good on linoone.
I would keep the backports mostly on the streams considering the amount of effort they take to implement.
Wow, a rodent beating local big shots.
All great runs lately with normal types! Belly drum works best if you're fast. Not so much if you're using Snorlax.
if it wasn't for the terrible RNG at Morty it could've gotten 1st place
K, subscribed
question: why drop shadow ball for belly drum instead of headbutt?
The only battle where Shadow Ball would have been useful is the Will fight.
Flinching is a far, far more useful tool for a Pokémon to have, especially in Kanto where Belly Drum can slow down a Pokémon's time quite significantly.
@@Squidgy makes sense, thanks!
Did you hack the move Covet on Linoone? I wonder what it would have looked like using it.
Covet was modified into the game - I just used the same animation as Thief for the move, as they do the same thing.
Unfortunately, with Gen 2 having so few held items on trainer Pokémon, I didn't have a need to use the move itself.
When is beedrill going to get a crystal run
Beedrill's a tough one for me to schedule at the moment, as I'm planning a special challenge around that line - it'll definitely be done by June next year (because that's when this series is going to be wrapping up for the initial runs) but I couldn't give a specific date.
There will, however, be some Beedrill content in the next few months.
So if I'm seeing this correctly just for ha-has if you didn't get that single reset at Morty Linoone could've beaten Girafarig's time and had 1st on the leaderboard
I don't think it would've beaten Girafarig, but it would have been very close!
What holiday is it?
It's the Summer Bank Holiday. It's got no real significance to anything - I think, and I'm not making this up - it was created to give bank employees an opportunity to watch cricket matches about a hundred years or so ago.
@@Squidgy that sounds like something they would do over here in the United States
