- A countdown of my top 10 favorite Laverne & Lenny moments (from the TV series "Laverne & Shirley"). The ordering is just my opinion. :)

I always loved it when Lenny said he won when he asked Laverne to marry him. I always thought that was so sweet.
It was, and wholly unexpected. Smartly, he didn't milk it too long. Lenny being Lenny, he went into his little prepared speech while the audience was still getting it.
It really was sweet that he did that.
That one should have been number one, in my opinion. The audience went from "ha ha" to "awwww" in one second.
Lenny had a heart of gold.

That proposal is actually really sweet. He's clearly scared, but he's willing to become more mature because he doesn't want her to have to raise a baby alone.
Squiggy was ready to step up too.
They may be dopes but they really do care for Laverne quite deeply.

Aw, buttering her popcorn. He really would do anything for her and was always there for her, like when he proposed under the circumstances. I know he was a goofball but maybe just maybe somewhere she loved him 2

Yeah, he gave her a look but soon just accepted it and kept on buttering.
When she thought she was pregnant and he says, "No. I won.", my eyes tear up every time.

The song Lenny was singing was pretty good.

Laverne and Lenny should of ended up together you can see the chemistry between them.

I used to watch reruns of this show a lot when I was a kid. Lenny & Squiggy were my favorites. Then years later I watched Michael McKean in a few different things and it took me years to realize they he was Lenny! Lmao

I thought so also, but no offense to Laverne, she was wasting her time with a lot of wrong guys when Lenny was there all along. I think they were better off friends in the long run, however. There was a sort of secret love and admiration between them, you could see it in several episodes, atleast that is what i took from it. ❤
Confession. I watched this show to see a Lenny and Squiggy more than the girls.
I always thought Laverne and Lenny would end up together, he was very naieve, but sweet, and he really cared about her
The proposal was a heartwarming moment. Lenny was a clueless idjit who liked playing the field, but he obviously thought a lot of Laverne, he had a level of openness and trust with her. Here, he's showing how much he wants to be there for her. So much that he is willing to give up the bachelor and carefree life and settle down and make long-term plans to build with her.
However, I think Laverne did make the right choice declining. Despite The Lone Wolf having a longtime crush on her, there wasn't enough on her side to make being Mrs. Kosnowski an appealing prospect. Sometimes friends are just friends, and that's how its going to stay.
RIP Penny Marshall. I used to watch the show each week in the late 70s early 80s. I never realised that Lenny was played by Michael McKean, who went on to Spinal Tap / Mighty Wind / Best in Show etc. He plays guitar really well!
To me, number two should be number one.
- "We flipped a coin to see which one of us would volunteer to be your husband"

I agree that was one of the best if not the best scene in the history of the show.
@@danielarmstrong9971 This show was so silly* but occasionally they'd have those sweet moments that hit you in the feels.
* I loved the fact that whenever other characters were talking about something disgusting or rude or whatever, in would crash Lenny and Squiggy: "Hello!"

It's 2019 and I still have a crush on Lenny ❤ although he is in his 70's but still handsome in an older distinguished version of himself. 👍
he was part of what made me want to be a performer at age 7. i wanted to make some one else laugh , cry and think as he had for me. I still love to perform and still love Michael Mckeon

Every moment between them was really cute. I wished that they did get together. It was really gross when Lenny hocked a lugie on his hanky to dry her tears, but it was a sweet gesture anyway.

Aww, so sweet! I would've loved it if Laverne and Lenny got together; they really seemed made for each other. Laverne brought out the best in Lenny. Hey, if you don't mind an idea, "To Be With You", the song you use during the credits, would make an awesome Lavenny video.

Yes - the song is called "The Look", and it is in the Cali episode "Sing, Sing, Sing." A great moment indeed - if I had the video when I made this montage, I definitely would've included it! :)

the actor who played squiggy is named David L. Lander. a few yrs back he did a voice for the cartoon Oswald.. i cant remeber the characters name.. but a very cute penguin. He was diagnosed with M.S. a few yrs back
David was actually diagnosed with MS a few years after Laverne and Shirley ended. He just kept it a secret for so long. :( I recommend reading his autobiography.

That's great! I would've reversed the last 2, but otherwise really great!
I love this vid - One thing I would have added extra is the other scene in Lenny's crush where they have that heart-to heart talk. She may have broken his heart by telling him she likes him - but as a friend but it works out in the end. I may be "Squiggygirl" but I'm definitely a Lenny girl as well.
So there were no great moments of them together in Hollywood? No wonder I can't remember much about those episodes.

Yes he did - evidently he had always liked her from when they were kids together. They all pretty much grew up together. Squiggy liked Shirley as well.

Yes, you're right - there is an Al Green version of the song, but the one in the video is Bill Withers. My bad!

@bossyboots55 if you do a search for 'laverne shirley the slow child' it should come up (it won't let me link it here). not sure if that's the one you were thinking of, but a great one nonetheless!! :)
Laverne should have married Lenny.
And when Shirley left the series, if Laverne married Lenny that would have been a fantastic spin off. Squiggy could live down the street.....
@@l.5832 Squiggy would have been very jealous that Laverne was stealing "his" Lenny. He was insanely jealous when Lenny started dating that gal Karen.

great top ten clips...w/ one exception: the music?! (it sux, to say the least, while completely missing the mark) - it clashes horribly with these clips! What sort of songs would work, hmmm? What about all those great tunes from the era in which Lav.&Shir. is depicted: 50/60's Motown, any early Sun recording, even the song Lenny sings at the end could be broken up and played between clips!...c'mon people!

The part where Lenny wipes the tears from laverne's face ❤ , then tells her to spit, then spits himself before wiping her face though it's the kind of spit no girl wants, no offense lenny, lol sweet though.
Why was the audio censored? Is it because of the song or from the clips?
the first clip lenny wants her to say that she can resist him and she says i can resist you. second one she yells at lenny. the third one lenny begs laverne to go with him to the debutant ball. the third one they agree to kiss their dates. the next one she askes lenny to put butter on her popcorn while they are watching um from here to eternity. Laverne say boy can he kiss lenny says somthing like he is not such a much.
