It doesn't matter that she could not sing, it's all about rocking out and feeling it. The way the song came together, it works! I would love to hear other versions!!

I've been listening to a bunch of these tunes. I didn't remember so many songs like this when I'd watch this show on Nick @ Nite when I was a kid. I really like this music!
Man, this show takes me back to my youth, and one of my aunts favorite shows. She was religiously in front of the television when Laverne and Shirley came home because she loved that show and a lot of times I would just stop by her house to just sit and watch it with her and we would laugh and anytime I just stumble across, RUclips and see Laverne and Shirley clip. It takes me back to that time and this clip was one of them. My aunts name was Marjorie. She had the nickname of Tootie, but I always called her aunt Laverne and she loved it. It took a while for the family to catch on why I called her Laverne, but they eventually got it then everybody started calling her Tootie Laverne. I missed that old lady. She was my godmother also
It sounds like your Aunt Tootie Laverne was a hoot! For me, it was my mother's Aunt Ruth. Long story but, in 1918, at age 13 her appendix burst and she almost died from the infection, which rendered her unable to have children. No man wanted a barren wife. She went to college to be a teacher. She became a flapper! Smoked, drank gin, wore short skirts and scandalized her family. She found a good man and settled down. As a kid in the 60's she was the favorite person of us kids. She spoiled us rotten. Climbed trees with us. Played Frisbee. Drove her 57 Chevy until she was in her 70's. Aunt Tootie and Aunt Ruth, the world was lucky to have had them.
This was a great duet. Catchy, bouncy, light hearted, enjoyable. Nice job you two. Lavern and Shirley was from a time when tv wasn't reality shows and whose been jumping into bed with whom. No, tv back then was classy.
