@@kendallrivers1119 did you watch the entire season? I STRONGLY recall when the original came out, NO ONE liked the characters. The public nearly hated the show, despising most everyone on it, and wondered why they even wasted time on a "spinoff" of such a great show like "Cheers". So, I wouldn't be so quick to write this one off. The writing is spectacular, and the characters will grow on people.

@@thegood9I have watched every episode of Frasier at least 20 times a piece over the last 30 years. I've got zero qualms with the new show. Watched every episode. You get to know characters in the 1st season of any show. It really takes 4 years or 40 episodes I would say to gain mainstream. It's not completely woke in the 1st season but it could easily be ruined by the executives. Kelsey Grammer is a national treasure no matter what he pursues. David Hyde pierce also carried a heavy load. If him and Daphne arent in season 2 it could be a problem.

Ham Radio, Voyage of the Damned, The Ski Lodge...hell pretty much anything from season 5 is comedy gold save from the very confusing Beware the Greeks episode. That one felt like it came from an alternate universe.

For me, the episode "Frasiers got to have it" was one I would have included...but when it comes right down to it, there were so many great episodes, they could have isted the top 40, and still it would be missing something great from the series. I think we should suggest a "Frasier get together party!"

One of the very few things that Frasier did not quite get right as a show… Accents like Clive’s and Daphne’s brothers who weren’t all played by English actors.

All sitcom storylines are loosely based on the structure of Ancient Roman Theatre, specifically the comedies since that's what Roman's liked best. But Frasier is the one sitcom that comes closest to and adheres to the comedic structure of roman comedies. It's so interesting to see that we haven't changed all that much.

IMBD’s #6 is my number 1. I would remove the ski lodge episode and put Merry Christmas, Mrs. Moskowitz at number 2.
The rest of my list is as follows:
    3. Ham Radio
    4. Roz and the Schnoz
    5. Look Before You Leap
    6. The 1000th Show (aka Frasier Crane Day)
    7. Good night, Seattle (part 1&2)
    8. The Botched Language of Cranes (aka The Bishop is lost at sea!)
    9. RDWRER (The New Millennium show)
    10. The Candidate

Some argue that it was actually the end of the show when they finally got together. It took away the tension and a good running gag. Personally, I think the show made good use of it, but once they had a kid I felt like they were reaching a bit. It's a testament to how lovable they were together that the audience kept rooting for them, despite them breaking up Niles' marriage and leaving poor Donnie at the alter, who had been nothing but a good guy.

It's a slow burn romance. Daphne was too dense because she always saw herself as the house help and wouldn't have understood or justified "Dr. Niles Crane's" interest in her. Niles subconsciously married for money and power. It took him many years of emasculating circumstances and public humiliation to break social rank and own up to his feelings for Daphne.
It is really well written to accommodate every possible fork in both their roads.

    • @BoredBingewatcher

It’s disgusting that Frasier and media in general support this idea that one-sided feelings will eventually turn into reciprocation. Especially with how creepy Niles was with her he absolutely didn’t deserve to end up with her, and given that in season 7 he finally seemed over her when with Mel. Mel, who is a lot more compatible and realistic for Niles, with all her 'negative traits' being present with Niles as well.
