"Now it is time to pit this instrument away" *Literal waterfall* That part got me good 😂 From the bottom of this humble clarinet player's heart, thank you for this awesome channel.
It was a saxophone, but there was a guy who had a read, which literally looked like neopolitan ice cream, with a red, yellow, and mold making stripes on it. Thankfully, I was given the mercy of never seeing it
good guys! I too am a clarinet player, and as a colleague I recommend you to work more on the sound and above all to work on the opening of the throat. if the throat is closed the sounds come out squashed and it is not nice. good job!!
As someone who started playing the clarinet months ago and very much enjoys it, this video is hilarious and made me laugh on about 20 different occasions!
Damn you got me with the one reed guy. Okay I have played clarinet while watching youtube before and I do have perfect pich, so I guess I fit 3 of these.
I was the one who never played last year in ensemble because I got given the wrong sheet music and two weeks in and realised and I was too scared to say anything
6:29 NOOO little story, in middle school, my band teacher didn’t really know how to play anything other than brass. As a clarinet player I had to be self taught. Never learned articulation till highschool and really anything basic. Also, didn’t know you can’t wash a woodwind In the sink💀 rip my corks. Rip my first clarinet 😭
I just discovered your channel a few minutes ago. If you ever do a part 3 of types of clarinet players you'll have to include a couple more. First is the collector (like me). I've got eight different pitched clarinets, five of which I've used regularly in performances (Eb soprano, C, Bb, A and Bb bass). The others are an Ab sopranino, an Eb alto and a Bb contrabass just for fun. Another that you should include is the great sax player who doubles badly on clarinet. You'll hear them in big band groups from time to time.
Broooo the waterfall always happens to meee, like I be cleaning my clarinet wihh the the bell on my lap and then I end up with a big circle splotch of water on my pants and it’s so annoyingggggg💀
I’ve been playing for in school for the past year and a half. because of the covid we had to miss months of band rehearsals and we have had online school for a few months. our band used to have 8 clarinet players(most of them quit)but now we have 3 (either one person is playing 2nd clarinet by themselves or 1rst clarinet by themselves) this time I am playing 1rst clarinet 😭😢😭😭😢😭😿😢😭I know i’m probably wasting your time but I just wanted to make a confession. this is the only place I know there are other clarinet players who understand.
Quitting band was the best decision I ever made. Just my own instrument and played in my own time however I felt like. Plenty of instructional RUclips’s to help you.
You forgot the clarinetist that transferred to bassoon but can't play bassoon for marching band, so now they have to play clarinet in marching band, but they suck on both instruments. Haha TOTALLY not talking about myself.
I hate having a somewhat perfect pitch. I'm planning on starting clarinet in Bb. That'll mess up my standard C intuition that I use in my current instruments.
Heyyy, you forgot one! It’s called, “The one who pretends to be good by thinking them playing high notes in a small half chromatic order makes them look like a good clarinet player that’s advanced even though they are behind me in chair position and keep asking me more questions and also mixed up with the notes B and G AND A💀
I relate to "the one who uses the same reed forever" except i normally play on one reed for more like 4 months
haha, at least it isn't five years LOL
@@JKimzzle yo what
Yes same
I use the same one for a couple months because I don’t like to change it lol
Sammeee!
there’s also the wheezing clarinet player when they start panting after playing one half note and their veins start bulging from their face
🤣🤣
They look like the “when you haven’t told any *whatever* for 5 minutes” meme kid.
NO BECAUSE THATS ME 😭
me fr
It's awesome that a clarinet channel exists
thank you for watching us, or there wouldn't be a channel!

Ikr clarinet is super underrated compared to the trumpet, saxophone, .etc
The perfect sequel doesn't exi-
I fricking love this channel. Thanks for existing, Justin & Justin!
Thank you so much! You don't know how much your kindness means to us!
Love to see clarinet getting some recognition it's such an underrated instrument
I’m kinda intimidated. Idk if I wanna start learning it now.
@@kishascape If you really want to, go for it
I love the clarinet
Im learning the Clarinet in band this year, but it’s pretty hard for me-
I’ll keep trying tho :)))
@@pinterestluvs me too but I haven’t gotten mine yet
@Lightning Moon Games I have been playing for 6 years and it took me only 2 months to get used to the clarinet
The first type is just bringing back memories of 5th grade band.
ahahahaha lol!
@FUNKIN same, got covid the first week we started band, so I haven't actually gone to band yet. But I can definitely imagine that happening.
Lol yeah
the memories of this happening are coming back lol
YALL HAD BAND IN 5TH GRADE- 😭 (im in 6th)
"Now it is time to pit this instrument away"
*Literal waterfall*
That part got me good 😂
From the bottom of this humble clarinet player's heart, thank you for this awesome channel.
I have been looking long and wide for a clarinet channel and I finally found an amazing one!
Thank you!
Yes! I searched up something dumb like "clarinet on fire" or something like that but the results came up to this channel and now I love this channel
As an alright clarinetist myself, i agree with this entire thing😂
thank you! haha
Yesss me too
Bro I hate when I get Lou Gehrig’s disease while trying to play my clarinet. Such a hassle!
IKR?
Yes
Lmao
Good job, guys. Loved the no long tones and then fainting from no air bit. That is so me every day. Lol.
Thank you so much for your compliment!
In band, one of our saxophones showed the band director his reed and it had grown mold 😭😭
what the actual... that is absolutely disgusting
It was a saxophone, but there was a guy who had a read, which literally looked like neopolitan ice cream, with a red, yellow, and mold making stripes on it. Thankfully, I was given the mercy of never seeing it
I SWEAR I’M THE ONLY CLARINET PLAYER IN MY BAND CLASS THAT ACTUALLY CLEANS THE INSTRUMENT, THEY REFUSE TO.
The lucky reed lmao so accurate
I only relate to the one who never plays when I don't know the music, because I don't wanna squeak ya know
Lol yes
Here's hoping this one goes viral as well. You deserve it.
thank you so much!
shes so good!!
yes she is!!!
Her pitch perfect makeup looks like she has pinkeye infection though.
I'm the one who always tongues because it was D R I L L E D into me
Bruh, idk why but I seem to ALWAYS TONGUE MY NOTES FOR NO REASON
I like the slurred one it sounds like an LSD trip 🤣
I really want to play like them, advanced.
thank you for the compliment!
Same
Im in 6th grade and I barely know any high notes 😭
@marstype Thank you so much!! You're too kind :)
@marstype also what I meant by high notes is the upper register notes I'm in 6th grade so I'm just learning them
you forgot the one who only plays the opening to rhapsody in blue
good guys!
I too am a clarinet player, and as a colleague I recommend you to work more on the sound and above all to work on the opening of the throat.
if the throat is closed the sounds come out squashed and it is not nice.

did i just clap after one of the songs all alone in my room in front of my pc? yes.
As someone who started playing the clarinet months ago and very much enjoys it, this video is hilarious and made me laugh on about 20 different occasions!
As a clarinet player I can relate to all of these
the good reed that i currently use for concerts is 6 months old
Damn you got me with the one reed guy. Okay I have played clarinet while watching youtube before and I do have perfect pich, so I guess I fit 3 of these.
The Justin with the glasses is Mr. Circles from part one 😂
You guys forgot the “people” who chips their reed every month
Yuting just convinced me that I need to watch Rick and Morty so I can get good.
TRUE... Yuting is always right!
Is it wrong that I still use my 2.5 strength clarinet reed from 4 years ago and still haven't cleaned my clarinet once?
How the h e c k have you not chipped your reed yet?!
@@HonkYeahArson Mainly use it for play tests and 3.5 strength the rest of the time. I've sort of moved on to tenor sax anyways
I was the one who never played last year in ensemble because I got given the wrong sheet music and two weeks in and realised and I was too scared to say anything
You may be a clarinert but are you apart of the clarinert ritua- **COUGH COUGH** I mean- cult- I mean group
Squidward even dropped his clarinet when he watched it
i was using the same reeds for like 5 months lol
i got new ones don’t worry
hahaha
i always hord my reeds in my clarinet case lmao, there are probably ten or something rn
Same I never changed them unless they chipped but then my mom got me crappy reeds that got moldy and gross easily so I went through those fast
I would love to see this video but about other clarinet types! I want to see their takes on bass clarinets, lol.
my eyes..... the water..... in the clarinet.....
I totally relate to using the same reed forever. I only use mine for a couple months though.
You should have made the one that was first pause every time before he said something

We need the one where looks like a Frog when he plays
I must admit I have used the exact same reed for year- no I will not get a new one, yes it's chipped
I love there is actually a clarinet channel

There's a little bit of every one of them in all of us

I'm the only first clarinet on a piece, too. You got this!
that's rough... i hope you get through it! hope we can provide the inspiration you need to practice and let our your clarinet feels!
There are a whole 2 clarinetists in my band and there'll only be one next year. Good luck to them I guess
I almost always get 1st bc the other guy has less experience and I'm more over the break (8th band), ik exactly how u feel. and there's only 2 of us

Me: welp, I guess I'll play triangle instead.
2:30.
Okay boy you didn't need to call me out like that.
Anyone else here that isn't in band/isn't in band anymore but still plays?
I can NEVER find a good reed 😭
What piece is played at 2:30? I hear that piece a lot for clarinet but I can't put a name to it.
"Clarinet camp" lmao I can't 💀

half my clarinet section in 8th grade plays AT BEST ppp even on their ff sections. THEYRE SCARED OF THE MUSIC)?
I have to say try tightening up the amboshure i dont know how to say it in english
You forgot the guy who abused their clarinet and never paid attention to
I'm scared because I don't know my high notes and it's in one of my band peices and my concert is in 2 weeks also we've barley done any band lessons
Am a new clarinet and I just broke my reed so I need a new one
At 2:50 he's just playing that ONE part at the end of the piece lol
I wish you had played that 5 year old reed. I've done it many times and they sound amazing.
