Chaka Khan has done loads of great tracks with 'Rufus', but of her solo stuff which you're yet to do there are two in particular that I recommend:
"Clouds",
"I'm Every Woman".
When I saw that you were doing this song I knew you were in trouble lol. Chaka is incredible... absolute legend and absolute genius. She sang every note of this song with intent.

I notice that most people recommend the same two or three songs, and they are always the biggest top 10 hits of an artist. I think you've done "Tell Me Something Good" and "I'm Every Woman" is a classic that most of the world has heard, but I hope they they dig deeper into an artist's catalog. Chaka has been making records since 1971 and she has a huge catalog of album tracks and singles to choose from. "Angel" was a great pick! Some other great charting singles and cuts are "Sweet Thing", ""Whatcha Gonna Do For Me?", "Love You All My Lifetime", "Everything Changes", "I Can't Be Loved", "I Know You, I Live You", "A Night in Tunisia", "Once You Get Started" w/ Rufus, "Blue Love" with Rufus, "Street Player" w/ Rufus. "To Sir With Love" remake of the song by Lulu.
Yes, people always recommend the obvious hits. Sometimes an artist's hits aren't her best songs.

One generally starts with some hits before diving into the deep cuts. The hits are usually a good introduction, and they are standards that everyone of the time knows.
That's pretty much how we were all introduced to these groups and performers. We heard the hits on the radio, grabbed the album and went down the hole.
@@jackgilchrist I understand what you're saying, it's just that every request is the same two songs over and over and over and over again. Once it's been requested a number of times it doesn't have to be requested a hundred more times. If an artist is new to somebody, they really don't know which were the big hits and which weren't the big hits. It probably shouldn't matter. They should just hear the best of that artist.

Try 'Feels Like Heaven' duet with Peter Cetera from the band Chicago. It's among Chaka's personal favorites.
Chaka is an original. There are no others like her. Her warm and beautiful on her bottom, refined and inviting in her middle, and bright and soaring on her top notes. She is extremely influential amongst female R&B singers. To hear one try Funkin' for Jamica by Tom Brown, and Congratulations by Vesta (a former background singer for Chaka), Fools Paradise by Me'lissa Morgan.
Chaka has a jazz influence 🎉in her background and she sings a version of trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie's Nights in Tunisia.

Like Jay and Amber but they often get stuck on certain performers and neglect so many great ones. Please broaden your horizon of talents not just specific catalogs of a few.

Why is it so hard for people to go to their YT page to if they have reacted to a song or not. Or better yet just search the song to see if they have reacted to it. Better than assuming they haven't. Also they said at the beginning that a lot of her songs get blocked and it takes awhile for them to come up.

Jon Secada also has a power ballad called Angel. Another emotive singer like Chaka. It's been 4 months since you were introduced to him with his hit Just Another Day. Angel by Jon Secada is worth a listen.
Chaka has a sister who also sings named Taka Boom. They are both on a song with Steve Winwood and other mostly British singers called "Give And Let Live". They're under the name Hope Collective. There are few videos thar makes me wish that only Amber was able to review alone. This was such a one. Her ability to relate to such a topic, to see the deeply feminine strength of this song, to see her daughters in the embodiment of these lyrics is so beautiful. When she cries.... she makes me feel so much. He is married to truly a remarkable, intelligent and expressive woman. She was raised so wonderfully. Not jaded or bitter, still joyous like a little country girl.

Isn't it strange how female singers of this generation could produce great music without the need to appear in their underwear or having 15 costume changes for every video. I guess they thought that their talent was enough to get the song across.
