- I've been lucky enough to assemble 1 ZR1 from every year they made the C6. In this video I walk through some of the production numbers, rarer colors and year to year quirks and differences.

You know this man has taste when he collects all C6 ZR1 and Z06….. They truly are the most beautiful.
I own a 09 Jetstream Blue ZR1. I have owned 25 Corvettes in the last 25 years. The seats in my 09 ZR1 are fantastic and the best of all the other Corvettes. I don't go to the track but for just regular driving they are great!

I have an 09 Atomic Orange Z06, and absolutely love it! About five years ago I was able to put my eyes on an Atomic Orange ZR1 in Vancouver. Made me drool even more. Good luck finding one. Took me four years to find my 09/Z06. Love your video! Beautiful collection!!!!

Love all the production numbers! I just bought a 2010 in torch red. Not a rare ZR1 color but I absolutely love it. Has a Corsa exhaust, sounds incredible!

2013 inferno ZR1. Absolute dream car
Can't replace those memories. Absolutely worth driving to get the car and road tripping it back home. I bet it was a blast with your son. My wife and I travel across the country often. Never had to pick up a car across the country though. Sounds like fun.

Man What a Awesome 👏🏽 Collection of beautiful ZR1’S I always love to hear talk about the ZR1 the difference in the years and the rare colors.I was Blessed to get my 2009 JSB ZR1 in 2017 and Even though I had a 2008 Z06 I was like a kid in a candy store to be able to get My dream car I always remembered in 2009 looking at the New ZR1 up against the Blue Angles Jet and Racing it!I’m definitely living my dream and enjoying a beautiful car!🙏🏾

That's one hell of a collection...i only have one .... 2013 60th anniversary edition ZR1 white with blue/grey stripes and i do love it!! ...It's the 6th vette i've had and my absolute favorite....and what a beast

I had a 2012 Centennial Edition Zr1. It’s the only Z that ever came with red brake calipers. Carbon Flash Metallic paint. Beautiful car

have a black 11 zr1 first one, built like your first one also, picked up a night race blue 13 and you aren't kidding the interior is night and day! Carlisle is next but now after that great story there's only 10 left! awesome man great vid.

I fell in love with ZR1s when I was 16….. back in 1990. I choose education as a career, so these C6 ZR1s are out of my range (with three kids in college). I have a 2009 Atomic Orange Z06, which is a beast. Love your collection, especially the Inferno Orange and Carlisle Blue. Corvettes at Carlisle is where my dad and I finally made a connection. Just wish I had bought the Z06 before he passed. Make those memories with your kiddos, they will appreciate it.
Grey choice on the AO Z06 and sorry about your dad ;(. My oldest is into cars (amazingly) and my youngest isn't - but I'm still searching for that angle that may connect him to them somehow :).

There were also changes in the traction control on the ZR1’s: launch control and PTM performance traction management.I don’t know about these because both of my ZR1’s are 2009’s. GM upgraded Traction control into the 2010 on all manual corvettes. The ZR1 2010 received the PTM.

Just bought a 2011 Z06 Z07 car in cyber red metallic 1 of only 33 in cyber red!!

2009 was zr1s best year for less problems. Cyber Grey even though not rare was the nicest colour.

I have a 2011 ZR1. Stock everything. I have just over 8500 original miles. Original wheels and tires. I absolutely love it.

@@ddxauto white exterior black and red seats. I can’t remember the exact number. But in 2011 only so many white with black/red interior was made. Probably a keeper forever.

Driving on the original tires? You’re asking for trouble. Tires last 5-6 years tops, not 11+ years. My 2010 came on 09 date coded PS2s and I forced the dealer to swap them to new PSS. It is illegal to sell a car like that and you will fail inspection where I am.

I love your collection, you do need a white one there.
Couple things here. 1st and 2nd are entirely unchanged throughout the model run. Later non performance pack cars got the Z06 gear set with the long 5th and overdrive 6th. 2012+ also have two extra catalytic converters.

Appreciated! Am tracking them both (and a few others) already but valuations are just dumb right now IMO so I'm a cautious buyer. Am also fine waiting for years if needed for prices to fluctuate.

I’m 19 right now and my dream car is a C6 ZR1. My dad has a murdered out bone stock C7 Z06 full 3LS package etc so I want to get a fully loaded C6 ZR1 in the next few years. Personally, the rare colors would be cool if I could get one of those but I’m good with any bone stock ZR1 as long as it comes bone stock because I would like to build both of them how I choose to.

Why do so many people say the seats suck? What actually sucks about them? I love the seats in my 2011 ZR1. Heated seats with a lot of adjustability, and they are very comfortable to me.

I missed an opportunity to purchase Cyber Grey ZR1 for 47k. I still regret not moving quicker on that one.
I have a '13 Night Race Blue, you may know this one I own. 54 made, and mine is #371 a true 1 of 1, only NRB produced with yellow calipers. I know you're in need of one and I'm tempted cash talks. lol

I wanted a ZR1, but bought a 2012 Inferno Orange Metallic (1 of 89 for 2012) GS A6 3LT convertible with mag ride -- it is now modified A & A V3, BTR blower cam, full headers, high flow cats, but I retained the NPP for traveling quietness. Makes 595 rwhp, so I put 345's on the rear. I quit at the 700 HP level because I wanted to keep the A6 in one piece and where I live, I have to feed it anemic 91 octane fuel anyway. I keep seeing people put 800, 900, 1200, or more HP and it's hard to believe that they find traction. Punch it at 100 and mine seeks traction as the rear dances trying to get a grip and it pulls hard... so, I have a great car with slightly more than ZR1 power, great brakes, fun handling, and a blast to drive.. I'll be 70 next summer and thinking of a C8, but I live in the flat Midwest and can't think of a good reason to sell off my car for a mid-engine one.. beautiful collection!.. love that 2013 ZR1 you have.. great color!!

Damn! If I found the negative in a car like this I wouldn't buy it. A Corvette has never been meant to be like a Cadillac. As long as it says Corvette on the outside, that's good enough for me.
My corvette is one of a kind it has this color this this option with this option made on this date its almost like every corvette is one of kind so at that point WHO CARES

Agreed - need one. That said the Carlisle is rarer but I do like the AO better. It's just more of a Corvette color IMO.

One thing I notice about Vette guys and I've even heard jokes about it, they get caught up in how "rare" their Vette is. It's the special anniversary model... It's a rare color, rare options.

@@nickelsworth7097 talk of rarity isn't just restricted to Corvettes, that goes for all vehicle manufacturers. Every group does it.
Poor sales go for all hi performance sports cars for all manufacturers. It goes with the territory because all hi performance sports cars are inherently impractical.
Considering the performance per dollar, the ZR1 was a bargain compared with several other vehicles costing twice as much for the same level of performance.

Why do people car so much about the seats. You buy that car for its drive train and its unique character. I personally don't have an issue with my 2011.
It's because the seats are that much junk. It's also exacerbated by seats existing in the GM lineup that are really really good (the 09+ V2 CTS-V Recaro based seats). You'd think for this flagship sportscar GM would have made the Recaro (or some other vendor connection) like they did with the CTS-V. It is a show stopper? Clearly not - at least not for me. But when you own a CTS-V and a ZR1 it's just one of those things that screams WTF.
But...where is supersonic blue?That car is green,not supersonic blue...

To be honest *all* of the C6 vette seats are junk. 2013 is just the least junk of them ;(
My first Corvette was a 1983 LS6 package,, 2nd Corvette was the first Gen.1953 V8 Red- white top all original from the original owner…
