@@Ryos Hey something that has just came to my attention: When you want to copy/paste a automation clip state, you don't need to go via the top left corner and articulator. There is a symbol like a jaw spanner in the upper right of the automation clip settings where you can do the copy/paste state directly. I think it is a bit easier that way, but just my opionion ;)

@happy pibble I've been on Ableton and Logic and I just enjoy FL's piano roll and midi editing a LOT more, and I also like the arrangement view and patterns etc. the workflow just works for me, mixer routing and so on as well and the way you can easily link anything to anything to modulate

    • @funkyboy3326
      @funkyboy3326 4 года назад +4

@happy pibble The comment was mostly a joke. I personally like the piano roll and freedom to put anything anywhere in the playlist. Other daws like ableton might be better for live performance or pro tools for audio recording. These days most mainstream daws are quite good so it is just a matter of finding one that suits your needs.

3:32 You can also select multiple channels and rename them all the same thing for if u have multiple chords for example. Then it'll say "Chords", "Chords #2", "Chords #3", etc.
4:35 the chop tool isn't bad but you can't do triplets that way.
So what i do is i set the grid to whatever i wanna cut it by (like 1/2) and press ctrl + u. Plus, if it sounds bad, you can just group em back together with ctrl +.g.
5:08 U don't have to open up Edison. If you're as lazy as me and can't wait for Edison to record it. U can just consolidate it with ctrl + alt + c.
8:48 Why waste a second of your life going to the top left corner and having to hit articulator when you could save time by clicking the wrench and "copy state" being right there?
13:33 Another way to reduce CPU load is consolidating everything (i.e. consolidating your serum lead melody) Audio Clips put barely any stress on my pc, from my experiences so far.
Thanks btw, learned a lot from this ❤🔥

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
    ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NIV‬
ROMANS 10:9-11 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame”
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.””
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭19:10‬ ‭
God wants us to believe in His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins :D When we truly believe in our hearts that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for our sins so we could have eternal life with God, we are saved from the eternal fire and have eternal life in Christ Jesus!! 💖 May God bless you all!

please help, people :) I don't get the tip #7 as when we rout the track to a different one, we now have both tracks playing at the same time which will end up building up and layering two melodies. Or is there a way to route specifically Delay effect signal to a separate track?

I was very angry trying to make music for more than a month and I did not compose a single song with this program is a confucion and very slow not recommended for beginners, I use Steinberg Cubase Music softwarte, I only took two days to learn and make A complete song, that is very fast and very easy to learn.

Smart Disable Plugins is useful for more than saving CPU. Some plugins create persistent sounds whenever they are active, so that your open project will generate noise even when your track isn't playing. As soon as I saw this tip I knew this was the answer. I went and tried it right away, and it solves this irritating issue. Thanks you!

That insert space trick just made me realize how much fucking time I've wasted manually chopping and moving all of my clips over god damn I'm happy to have learned that but I'm now mad at myself for not knowing that for the 7 years I've been using FL.

Hi Ryos, I've got a question about your SC trigger in your example song at around 2:40. how did you manage to make it silent so it wont be audible in the song while still making it trigger your compressor or whatever you use for sidechaining?

Now it's not needed to open edison to have a reverse thing now it's quicker to just open the knoch in the playlist -> tools -> consolide and that's it not needed to go to edison anymore just reverb you can consolidate directly from the mixer as well there so many quicker options without edison💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 cheers

Excellent tutorial just try to slow down for those who are beginners or trying to follow you as you go along. Trust me I talk fast too cause you are not trying to talk fast you're just excited and passionate about music. But for listeners if you want them to take in what you say, especially those who are foreign trying to understand English. Blessings and much success!!!

What's the rush? Why not explain something a bit slower? Otherwise obviously thorough knowledge, just don't talk like you gotta run and get some milk because the stores are closing soon. Cheers

Honestly a few of these tips are just work arounds to FL Studio's lacking features :P the fact that you have to use Edison to resample, and the tedious way you have to link automation clips together would drive me nuts.

Ryos I literally have no words! Fkn amazing . And that drop was so lit! And Ryos you can copy Automation curves more easily. Instead of going to the drop-down menu everytime you double-click the automation, just click the wrench icon in the right side of the automation window. There you can copy and paste automation curves. Another tip is that we can easily make lfos. Double click the automation to get the window and then click the lfos option in the left side. You can adjust skew, amount speed and the rate.
Lastly, for audio tracks we can create a quick volume automation. Click in the wave looking icon in the top left of the audio clip in the playlist (not double click) and on the options there is an option for automation and you can automate the volume and panning. Good thing is that the automation is automatically adjusted to the length of the audio clip in the playlist.

The gradient is an anti pattern in my opinion, you're not color coding anything, you're just applying a cool looking gradient - you should rename tracks and use the made namespaces which you can pick from the small down facing caret

On tip 9 you can use the tool on the right top corner and it shows only the copy and paste state options, so you need less clicks. U're wellcome.
