- Some cars are memorialized in song...this is one! Beautiful example of a cool mid-level hardtop with that special engine. Perfection...what a cool ride back in the day..and today!

She's so fine my 409 in red!! VERY nice restoration, especially the engine bay! Nice lines and interior, well done! Thanks Jack.
Hey, Terry! Everybody is joining in! This car inspires the sing-along! A really great restoration! Thanks! :) Jack
I've had the song bouncing around in my head all evening....
Nothing can catch her
Nothing can touch my 409
LOL!! Mee Tooo!
Oh, Yes! As the Beach Boy's would sing.."She's so fine.y 409!" I'm really glad this '62 Chevy BelAir is painted this beautiful red... That color also serves as an early warning device...telling others they might want to get out of it's way!! Definitely a "no frills" performance car! I really like the way it has been restored to the "origional" of it's day... no aftermarket mag wheels.. very little chrome.. gorgeous interior though! This is a great reminder of vintage muscle.. restored perfectly! A great find Jack!!
Hey, Karyn! Thanks for naming the artists! :D It's great to see one in this kind of original condition! Red as early warning sure is correct..and that insignia on the fender would get attention too! Glad you like! Thanks! :) Jack
A really nice Bel Air hardtop.a pure performance car!.beautifully restored.there also was a Biscayne model too.theese cars were amazing, and still are!.
Hey, Lee! Yes indeed...either of these cars could be outfitted for the drag strip..impressive cars indeed! Thanks! :) Jack
In 62 there were a plethora of these bubble tops on drag strips. The only difference between the ones I watched running the quarter mile and this one is they were as immaculately detailed as this one. :)
Hey, Chester! Glad this brought back great memories of the drag strip! This one sure has been cleaned up for the show! Thanks! :) Jack
i really like all the red. awesome interior!
Hey, Kiel! This was a force on the strip...nice to see one so original! Thanks! :) Jack
Giddy Up Giddy Up...409..
Yes indeed...we'll all join in! Thanks! :D Jack
(singing) She's real fine, my 409, my 409. Tach it up, tach it up, buddy's gonna shut you down! :)
Hey, Jason! Yes indeed,...thanks for the rendition! A great song that a car like this inspired! :) Jack
Jack R You're welcome. Nice looking car. I like the aftermarket tach. :)
Jason Carpp Hey, Jason! That type of tach was a very popular addition in the day..helped make up for what the maker didn't offer! Thanks! :) Jack
Jack R I agree. And I like where it is, up on the steering column, rather than underneath, like you see some aftermarket gauges. :)
Jason Carpp Hey, Jason! It's close to the driver, just where you need it! Thanks! :) Jack
Pretty, basic car that can go like stink. Nice.
Very true! Built to impress! Thanks! :) Jack
