I bought my husband a 1962 white with the red interior for our 50th wedding anniversary.. I think he likes it!!
I had 2 1962 Chevys in 1982 I from Los Angeles and if you no about growing. Up in LA that means lowrider s I also had 1963. 65 67 68 loved those cars
My parents had one, black with red interior. Got my license Summer of 1963, loved putting down all the windows and cruising around. Beautiful car, wonderful memories. Ahhh.
I had one also, red..283..trade it in for a 1963 impala SS..327..
Man you were able to see some beautiful cars brand new and those days
@@rockeybrown8990 And today's cars all look alike. What will future car shows look like. Sad!
❤ALOHA, MY PARENTS HAD A 1962 CHEVY IMPALA RED BODY IN SIDE RED BEAUTIFUL. THIS CAR WAS BORN THE SAME YEAR AS ME❤GUY'S GOD BLESS THE RESTORATION GUYZZZZZ I LOVE IT❤❤❤❤
That was my beauty in 1967 when I cam home from Nam. My friends restored my old car while I was overseas in combat.
My husband still owns his first car. 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS convertible in original, mint condition. It is mint green, dark green carpet and white convertible top. He is the second owner.
Lucky owner & lucky car!! 😎
I am soooo jealous!
As a kid in 67 my uncle and his family and my aunt and her family and our family went boating on this lake, well they all owned white super sport’s, 63, 64, and Dad’s was a 65. What a sight! 63 was my favorite.
The ultimate Impala SS. As a kid a family friend had a black one with red interior and a 283 engine. Beautiful!
His sounds very nice too!! 😎
Yeh...I remember in 62 you could order this with optional dual slanted antennas on the trunk along with fender skirts. I was no where near old enough to drive but I was a car nut even back then. We had such cool cars then and yes I even knew they were cool then.
I had a 62 Chevy Impala white over red 327 auto back in 68-70...thanks for the trip down memory lane...😢
My first car was a blue 62 Impala back in 1968 when I first started work after high school.
OMG! Watching this is Soooooo bittersweet! The '62 SS was my car in HS! Also white but w/beautiful blue interior and factory air! Had the 327 in it! Sold it back in '74 for '$500.oo! The idiot I sold it to totaled it within a couple months! Sick! Man I miss that car!
Back in the early 60's one of my friends bought a brand new Chevy 409 I think with four on the floor. Man that car pushed my insides against the seat when it took off. I was something to experience.
😎 heck ya!!
I remember back in 1962, my cousin bought a new 1962 Chevy Impala, I don't recall if it was an SS? The color was gold I guess? I was only 7 years old at the time.
Two years later, My other cousin (His kid Brother) purchased a 1964 Mustang. Awesome!!! That cousin (Ernie) went to Villanova with singer songwriter Jim Croce.
I don't know if they knew each other. I just found out they went there the same time in the middle 60's. Sorry to veer off track..🙏🏿
MY DAD HAD ONE IN 72 I LOVED THAT CAR HE SOLD IT ONE DAY I WILL FIND ONE
Awesome, these were REAL CARS. not the expensive crap full of computers WE HAVE TODAY. Cars were meant to look great, fun to drive, not to be a home theater! If ya don't know where your going buy a map. AMERICAN MADE. You didn't get a hernia sitting in the back seat. Beautiful restoration, thanks for sharing.
62 folks had when I was a kid had a cool green light on dash when it was cold
A nice 1962 Chevy. The 62 Ford Galaxie XL looks tame by comparison. I often wonder how Ford was able to sell as many cars as they did, especially when you look at this Impala SS.
One of my dream cars. Same year, same color..
🥺😩😢Wow only in a dream will I ever sit in one or own anything like it.. 👍
It’s beautiful and she sounds amazing 😎
STUNNING BEAUTIFUL , nicer than the day it left the line and WOW this car sounds killer, Jay you really show a car well, all the details, everything about this car is pristine , what a find !
Thanks michael. 👍
This 62 is stunning
One of the top cars I love.
The growl was dang near intimidating lol I Love It!!!
Jay, you have some of the nicest cars. If I were in the market for a classic, I would deal only with you. Thank you for sharing this beauty with us.
We appreciate that Jerry, thanks! 🙂👍
Beautiful!! Had one just like it back in the day. Hubby was in auto body n painted it black, how I loved driving n shifting that car going out to the country. Wish I would of kept it 😁
That is totally boss right there. Man that puts the S in Sharp,no doubt.
😎
very nice car, when you shut the door and the trunk , the sound that i heard was wonderful no rust at all, i can tell you, if there is any rust the sound will be different than that.
She’s real fine my 409 !
Absolutely! 😎
your 409 pound wife?
Beautiful Impala!!!!!!!!!!
It sure is! 😎👍
This was my car in 1965. I bought it with my savings after coming back from Nam. It had 5000 miles on it, when I took ownership. I-sent a photo as I was standing by it, to my girlfriend overseas. She asked me if I was a gangster.
I bought a 62 Impala 283 sport coupe used in 67 with 40k miles. It was a nice riding car especially on the highway. Starting in the early 60’s GM started to make much better cars.
all your cars are just awesome --newfoundland canada--like to find a nice 63 ford falcon two door hard-top.
Right on!
9:06 Jay likes the way Car Doors close so easy. There is a Wells Fargo Bank in Oakland, CA. Inside is a Safe Deposit Box Room. The Vault Door is about 3 Feet Thick x 8 Feet Wide, wider on the outside and tapers in steps towards the inside, has 5-6 inch diameter bolts that go from the door into the casing. The Door Casing is similar in size and shape. It probably weighs about 5,000-10,000 pounds. Probably takes some effort to get it moving, but it's probably very well balanced so there is little drag. If you like how Car Doors close, it's a master piece for Doors.
Beautiful machine! Looks like the SUN Tachometer is missing from the column
Factory sun tachometer was a added feature installed on the 63 impala 409
In 62 they were a option that could be dealer installed.
Perhaps this vehicle did not have one.
Dont matter anyways car has already sold.
Yo tengo uno de estos soy de Chile. Son hermosos nos vemos
Beautiful, but no outside mirror …
It's a shame that such a beautiful car sounds like a freakin TANK!!!
You call that a shame?? 🙃 To each their own I guess. 😜
THE Chevrolet!
👏 Another Awsome #volocars presentation
Glad you like them! Thanks! 😃
You always have surprise for us , beautiful car.
We try, thanks for watching! 👍
Very nice ,what a beauty 👍
It sure is! Thanks! 👍
The spirit is in this car 🤟 White as an Angel wow wow absolutly 🎶 music 🤟 thanks Jay grams for This gourgeus Angel from the batcave 🦇 🦇 USA 🤩
Heey! That was my first car. $2,800. Had it for six years. Sold it for $1,000 so the cost was $300/yr. some sob stole my hubcaps.
Guess I should have held on to it.
Oh snap,I can't wait!
Boy Jay, you just keep pulling the rabbits out of your hat. This is quite a '62 to say the least. As to the 409's, weren't there two horse-power options for this engine? Also, does this '62 have a posi rear? Whether it does or doesn't, what gears does it have? Thanks.
Save the Wave👋
Spitting image of the one I owned in the early 70's
Needs some carb tuning but it's still a "10" !!!
Great car 🚗
Don Mouse corleone favorite car as he wisit volo auto museum, and go for dinner in the town wow, 🎶 🎶 🎶
My brother had one really nice
White also? 😎
First class restoration!!
Wonderful!! 👍👍✨
Better than new!!
Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹🔝🔝
They definitely did not make that much noise in 1962. Otherwise beautiful restoration.
Correct, factory stock had quiet mufflers. The only clues of the 409 residing under the hood were the 4_0_9 emblems & solid lifter clatter.
NICE!!!!!!!
Very niceee!!!!
@@VoloMuseumAutoSales you're absolutely right very nice!
Beautiful
😎
BEUTIFULL BEUTIFULL 🙏👍😍♥️
Can never decide which body style I like best - ‘62, ‘63, or ‘64……..🤔
I think 1962 cause it's the beginning of that B body style 👍
@@eddiemunster4094 1961.
I'll take it Mr Volo
Someonen beat you to it. 🙁
My first car back in 1980 I was 13
Gorgeous 409 ! Will be here and gone !
It's missing the side mirrors.
When Detroit built real cars.
true! 🙂
Not a smooth idle. Maybe an oversize Cam? Mufflers sound terrible. The original 1962 SS did not sound like this, they had a small rumble. I was around back then. The Car is stunning in every other way.
Surprised you.did not feature the car with more pictures. What about lifting the hood? Opening the trunk? Giving a peak at the interior? Showing some different views of the car?
We did all of those things in the video.
Que hermoso impala, que los nuevos no le llegan
Beauty
Красотка.
Why don’t you list the sold prices on you cars?
For the privacy of the new owner, we do not feel it is our place to continue listing the price after its theirs.
Dang! This car is already sold.
Absolutely!! 😎
How much did it go for?
@@jimborock6366 The listed price if you saw it then. Otherwise we don't believe it is our place to keep advertising the price after it is someone else's vehicle.
PS she is a perfect Angel loking out for you
Where is the tach?
Nice, but no outside mirror!... 😐
Ben en cok Amerika'daki General Motors'un fabrikasini cok merak ediyorum En cok ta Chevrolet İmpala direksiz SS ve de Belair modellerini
anyone has an idea what this car costs?
Nothing on the data plate indicates SS. That didn't happen until 1965 Impala.
Very nice however I prefer Buicks of that vintage
Ain't nothing wrong with that. 👍
The ‘62 Impala with a ‘chicken stick’ on the passenger side of the dash…
How much
What is the price tag of this 409
Sold. 🙂
This car must have a different cam because it sounds different.
Definitely a very lumpy idle.
Nice car but did not like the way it sound when it came out the garage it sounded too hotrodish like the engine was bored out
WOULD LIKE TO SAY ILL TAKE IT BUT NOT YET LOL!
Don't wait too long... 😶
How much did it sell for
For the privacy of the new owner, we do not feel it is our place to share what they paid after its theirs so we take the price down after a sale.
What was the asking price
We do not discount or haggle on prices, so the prices you see on vehicles that are still available on our website are the prices the vehicle sells for. Otherwise after a vehicle sells, we no longer advertise the price, that has just been our policy and what our customers want. We understand many like to know or didn't see it when it was available, but check our direct website frequently for new inventory and prices is the best way to stay informed.
Dear Santa,
We have forwarded the request. 😉
I wish
She says i AM legend
Cuál es precio del 62 SS
Sold
Have a 62 blue model car my birthday year
You notice they don't give you the price so that means is way over overpriced
I hope whoever buys this don't chop it up for a stupid rat rod and alter it so that the bottom drags on the street!
Dear Volo Museum: A museum is a non-profit, permanent institution in the service of society and its development, open to the public, which acquires, conserves, researches, communicates and exhibits the tangible and intangible heritage of humanity and its environment for the purposes of education, study and enjoyment. Volo is NOT a museum. It is a dealership. A very, very good one, but it is a dealership. Volo, please stop denigrating the word "museum."
Since 1960 the Volo Museum has been celebrated as one of the top automobile museums in the world. We welcome approximately 300k visitors annually who come to view our items on display, compared to our approximate 1200 customers who purchase cars annually. We are both a collector car dealer and a museum that displays numerous significant and historical artifacts. Non-profit only refers to an organizations tax status. A museum is not required to have a non-profit tax status. There are numerous for-profit museums. The official definition of museum by Webster, Oxford, Britannica and others is “a building in which objects of historical, scientific, artistic, or cultural interest are stored and exhibited.”. The definition you posted is an unofficial adapted definition by ICOM which is not accepted by other similar organizations such as the American Alliance of Museums.
@@VoloMuseumAutoSales
Despite cutting corners as to the purpose of museums in general, you continue to use the word "Museum" to SELL CARS. That, to me, is a violation of the intent of the several definitions of the word. The fact of profit or non-profit is definitely up to discussion, but if the pervading belief by the public is that a museum is established for the good of the public and not as a profit-making enterprise, then they are being mislead by Volo. I would love to visit you. I think your curatorial people have great intelligence, scholarship and taste. But please think about separating your car sales from your permanent museum exhibits. How about, VOLO | MUSEUM-QUALITY CARS. I'd buy that!
When they hide the price you probably can't afford it.
The vehicle has been sold, so we do remove the price out of respect and for the privacy of the new owner. 😉👍
park it in your living room 🤣🤣😂😂
The engine
You have a car for sale but you don't say how much it is. smh
