- In this video I replace a PSVITA slim model analog stick that was not responsive. The swap was fairly straight forward and similar to steps followed in a screen replacement. Nonetheless, this was a video specific to the analog stick swap only.
Reminder: PSVITA analog sticks are interchangeable between left and right sides. They are not interchangeable by model (sticks for a PSVITA 1000 OLED will NOT work in a PSVITA 2000 slim).

Thanks for uploading this. I had a lot of trouble following what you were doing because the Vita was half off the screen....
Awesome- Changed my right analog stick seamlessly thanks to this guide. Wayyyy easier than changing the oculus quest analog stick all though the casing was a struggle to get off. Tip: Make sure all the screws are out and dont skip ahead, there is one in the game card slot and two by the charging port. I thought i knew what i was doing and missed the one in the game card flap and was wresting with the case for ages but that's my fault for being impatient Lol

Does the analog stick replacement come with left and right or just one but functions both ways?

Is it more common on the 2000?
Speaking from personal experience yes but that could be due to a number of reasons

try a small flathead screwdriver instead of a phillips it helped me loosen them up when needed.
I just changed both my analog sticks for the first time and it was tough to manage the flat cables xD
One question. One of my analog sticks is working just left and right. Up and down does not work. What does it mean? Defective analog? Or maybe it's my fault putting the flat cable?
i have a a blue ps vita 2000 and left analog isnt wokimg.. i did the same thing yiu just did whit two diff replacements and it still doesnt work. what am i doing wroung pls help😢
probably the sticks board that needs to be replaced
I'm late but, for others in the same situation... be sure that you didn't installed any patch using AutoPlugin (there are some to disable the analog sticks or part of their directions). Have a nice day! :)

@@hrgaming4plebs570 unfortunately no it works but you have to mod your Nintendo analog stick because it won't work or fit because it's to big

@@linerangersjusticebrown6225 do you have the toolbox to open smartphones and small devices? its very easy, the risk of damage your vita is super low, everyone can do it, but it will be very easy if you have that screwdriver and the plastic things that you can find on amazon to open devices, its cheap very recommended
