Thanks for this guide. Got a used vita 1000 with major stick drift, mine was previously opened up considering that there just straight up wasn't a 3g card in it
Did you buy the AliExpress cheap v2000 joystick replacement? Or was this just the original expensive v1000 joystick???? I’m just curious, I want to get my Vita fixed
Bruh I understand this is handheld device but i aint repairing my joystick by fear that im going to lose some screw Like look at this shit my man is fucking disecting it
@@ottiechannel in your opinion, why is the psv1000 ones are significantly more expensive than the 2000 ones i can't find any replacement less than 12$, and that not worth it imo
@@AbderrahmenBesbes The 1K will always be valuable because it was the first one to come out and it has on OLED screen. I would go for it and buy the part, these things are going to be more rare and are only going to go up in value and finding these parts are going to more and more difficult. Take the PSP for example where it is literally impossible to find any find parts, only one you can find are extremely cheap and horrible quality knockoffs. If you have a vita, make it in working condition now rather than later.
@@ottiechannel i do have a vita, 1000 model, my issue is that the top cap of the joysticks is gone, i looked for replacement parts and i was put off by their price, i see your point, but buying 2 joysticks for almost half the price of a vita is a little too much for me
@@AbderrahmenBesbes I did find one listing from Australia selling what looks to be like just the top cap, which is what you were referring too. I'm not sure if and how you can replace them but there is a seller selling a pair for $6. Another option would be just to purchase those rubber caps that are universal (usually for psvita and Nintendo switch joystick)s and just slap them on temporary.
They are different because the side of the connector is on different sides depending on which stick. Its actually easier to replace the left since there are less things you need to take apart.
@@ottiechannel how can be different sticks left and right? I never saw psvita 1000 replacements specifying left or right stick, so i assumed that any stick can be used on both sides
@@Cr3x2p I'm looking on ebay and it says it can be used for both left or right. Whichever joystick is messed up you can replace it with. Does not matter which side.
They're all chinese made lmao! what the hell 🤣🤣🤣 so buy a used one and shortly there after it does the same thing. You guys have to stop.. good guide tho.

Remember, not all the Vitas had the 3g card. It was only a separate model that had it.
Thank you so much man just did my left joystick with this video

Has to be the 1000 stick. Different ones sadly...
I think the 1000 model has Halle effect joysticks which maybe the reason why they are much more expensive than the 2000
Bro my ps vita doesn't turn on after I put everything back. What should I do?
I need a replacement too
Thank you for your video, I was able to replace my joystick
Hey uhm, after prying out the 3g card. I don't really care for the 3g anymore so do I have to put it back?
Isn't necessary, actually makes the battery last longer, sorry for my bad english.
Is the 3g necessary for this model? Can I just take it off by force? I can’t get the screws off
Yes, absolutely no point in having it.
Or how about to put psvsd

It's not that bad
@da_Costa_666 yeah
It looks easy to me
Got a site where one can buy the sticks?
You can buy off brand ones from Aliexpress for $15+ (normally $2 - $5 but there is a shortage) or you can grab official ones from eBay for $40+
