- In this playthrough, we try to beat Terraria, and eventually craft the Zenith, while only using the swords included in the Zenith's crafting recipe. There's quite a few (18) but it's still a tiny fraction of the weapons in Terraria. This one was highly requested by several comments for a while, and I finally got around to trying it out, enjoy!

I’m pretty sure wof broke because it spawned in the hellevator and ended up stretching to space. Given enough time, it could’ve reoriented itself.
@@dando541 except its eyes and mouth were under the lava lake. If it were the hellevator, they'd be much higher than normal instead of lower.

Actually though high key gameplay wise pre hardmode and early hard mode is way more fun than post mech bosses. Watching wise their about the same

Every single time this dude fell off of a floating island to their death, they managed to not only be above a source of water to stop fall damage, but consistently miss the source of water next to them. Not hating just thought that was hilarious.

There is lots of myth about land mines. You should try. Can a meteor fall on a landmine, can you kill WoF with land mines, can you blow up a land mine (or press buttons) with gravity potion when reversed..
Those are some interesting things.

And as much as I enjoy the content, I'm also not someone to spend money on something that I don't feel like is worth it, thus I never checked member benefits. Oh I thought it was 10. I spent ages farming queen bees for that with endgame gear (idk)
@@Goremize slime mount is better imo the bee flies for 2 seconds
1:11 Light's Bane doesn't actually require combat, as you can mine the demonite ore you need to make it underground with a gold or better pickaxe. Demonite is actually quite plentiful in the corruption, so you can use bombs to get to it and mine it pretty easily.
Granted, I would just use Starfury anyway, as it's much more versatile and less annoying to get.
You could also go for the fishing simulator route and fish for an enchanted sword
but you cant mine the ore without nightmare pickaxe tho

me, now having horrid flashbacks of killing 30+ queen bees and failing to get the honeyed goggles:

I killed the queen bee 30+ times to get the trophy :P I just have terrible luck with those things, over 20 primes, over 30 bee queens, 15 flying dutchman, yet when I actually want to kill a boss for their items I get the trophy first like golem wich I got the trophy first try but took like 7 to get the sunstone, or the martian saucer wich I killed like 4 event's worth of to get the xenopopper but got 2 trophys and multiples of every other drop instead

Don’t worry the bee mount is obese. despite being able to fly, it instantly dies in water and flies for about 5 seconds before falling.

I'm all about this being a series! I thought to myself seeing this in my recommendeds the hardest part would be the start of hardmode and killing a mechanical boss. Watching the video, I thought you'd have at least one projectile sword to do it with, but I guess I was wrong
Technically star fury and enchanted sword, but those are obviously pretty weak
@@WandofSparking I thought that was right! Shouldn't have second guessed myself. Regardless, it seems like doing a little damage and not dying is a better route than doing a slightly higher amount of little damage and dying in the process. That's just me though, I'll trust you to do what actually works since you're the one doing the challenge
@@quinnmcrae6737 i mean, Destroyer exists, just do it as the first Mech Boss, the Night's Edge will be enough for it, pair that with a Titanium/Adamantite armor and you can tank the destroyer quite easily, its charges are predictable and probes do pathetic damage (and its long, segmented body makes swords quite effective in dealing loads of damage).

Yeah, that first mech is going to be *brutal* to fight.
@@dusklunistheumbreon not too much honestly, seeing that this is a normal difficulty playthrough, you can choose to fight The Destroyer first and just tank the probes with tier 3 hardmode ore armors while you hack and slash its body and dodge its charges (which isn't difficult), swords are especially effective if you bait it into charging upwards, that'll leave its long body completely defenseless and you can get some solid damage out of it.
Oh, how the tables have turned... Now it's pleasure to do So.

All jokes aside the world gen is very… it’s something. It kind of reminds me of mobile 1.2 world gen, all over the place and off but that’s what made it fun.

I think the floating islands spawn roughly at the same place, at least one spawns near the spawn all the time
I dunno I knew exactly what he was talking about, whenever I see a giant tree or a strange bit of world generation my mind immediately makes me think there's got to be something here

I've seen this idea requested a lot on various channels, and its kinda cool to see someone actually doing it! Hopefully its not as stressful as some other series you've done.
this one is quite chill, the only real obstacles are Skeletron Prime and The Twins, every boss before that is easily tanked through and every boss after that is easy as you gain access to powerful projectile swords right after collecting all 3 mech souls.
This play through is really nice and creative! Can’t wait for part 2!

on normal difficulty it's quite easy to tank a bunch of damage, so a sword's limited range isn't a big problem at all, the only bosses i can think of that will be a real nuisance for this challenge are The Twins and Skeletron Prime (especially The Twins with their high speed and tendency to stay farther away), after that you gain access to both True Swords with their projectiles and it's just smooth sailing through the rest of the game.

this is a great video, also im suprised i never thought about this challenge, I'd love to see you continue this challenge into hardmode, also for the mech bosses you might be able to cheese them with the bee keeper and some statues hooked up to times, but maybe im wrong and that wont work

I love how when you found the first sky island, and you kept falling, you landed on all of the small spots of land instead in the water. Kinda hard to watch but it's still kinda funny at the same time
how about trying to take down some bosses using high mana usage weapons with as low max mana as possible
that would just be a whole lot of mana sickness and potion chugging not to mention the amount of farming you would need to do to fuel the mana potions
@Bien Daniel Zuniga just sounds kinda slow, waiting for mana regen. How about any of the mana accessories?
@@VorpalTiger actually, you wouldn’t need any good many potions because of how little mana you have. Lesser mana potions from merchant would suffice
@@dando541 you forget that you can reforge accessories to be arcane, which give 20 mana which in this situation you would be doing to be able to use most of the weapons that have a cost greater than 20 mana, so you would need the stronger mana potions

well, it's kinda only until post-mech bosses, as every sword used on Zenith after that will be projectile ones (save for The Horseman's Blade)

Loved the music from Inside Story. It has been a long time since I have heard them and it was a great nostalgia boost on top of the interesting challenge. Hope to see the hardmode portion of the playthorugh.

I have an idea for a challenge after you finish this one, so basically you have a main weapon and and for example 10 upgrades, and you start with a copper shortsword, you have to use that copper shortsword until you get another weapon you want, let's say a musket, so you smash an orb and get a musket, you can choose to use one of your 10 weapon upgrades and make the musket your main weapon, the lower amount of weapon upgrades the harder
I’ve had this idea for well over a month, so clicked on the the second I saw it in my recommendations. Thanks for making this challenge a reality

I have new playtrough idea. Whole corrupted/crimsoned world.start would be very hard but possible. Oh jungle... just use clentaminator on mud. Mud you can get by staying next to water with dirt.

Tip: Farm one of the mech bosses until you get excalibur. That way, only one mech needs to be done with pre hardmode weapon. You should do SP because low defense. You can use sharpening station and flask of ichor.

At first I thought the zenith was just over played, until I finally got mine and the first bit thought it was pretty cool till I noticed you actually throw all the swords it took to make it. When I seen all the different swords coming from the zenith i liked it even more.

3 nice ways for flying islands searching:
First one is running on the ground and spamming arrows into the sky - when they stop falling - they stuck in the cloud.
Second one is doable right in the beginning if you got lucky and found "water bolt magic book" at the entrance of a dungeon without killing a Skeletron. As it reflects from the surfaces, you just run on the ground and shoot it at 45 degrees, when you see water bolts return - there is a cloud.
Third one is the fastest one - gravity potion. Especially as you can't use bows or magic in your playthrough. Usually it takes 1 or 2 gravity potion to locate all flying islands and if you're lucky enough to get these potions from chests in the beginning - that's the perfect way to spend them.
Plz do more! This is a very interesting play through!
Would absolutely like to see more of this series, especially Twins and Skeletron with just the light's Bane, not sure if it's even doable.
