- It's time for a classic Manhunt. Today I will be trying to defeat Terraria while my viewers chase me down and try to stop me. Am I going capable of beating the game while they are pursuing me every step of the way?

At 17:30 when you were worried that they would make you drop the Muramasa, it wouldn't have mattered if you had crafted the Night's Edge because they could have just made you trash that.

Yeah but the likelihood of him dying with a night's edge would have been far less. Probably would have fended them all off for much longer had he made it

Would personally love to see another one of these but without the pickaxe axe, but instead the hunters aren't allowed to watch the stream and you'd maybe get like a very decent headstart

@samuelbarros1563 But he might be able to do something else like give his location every 10 mins and have less lives. I feel like them watching stream just made it impossible
Maybe an item that shows his location on the map as a non moving dot and needs few seconds to be reused so they get the general idea where he is without knowing exactly what is he doing
Maybe coding such a thing could be a hassle
People would cheat and stream snipe. My suggestion is maybe a 10 min stream delay
Letting your hunters choose something to get rid of was definitely putting yourself on a handicap. Next time i suggest not letting them do that, as it honestly just ruins the fun for you.
Na, was still fun for me, definitely made me a lot more stressed about dying though, lol

The people stream sniping honestly ruins the whole fun of this when they can just check stream and see exactly where you are so much for a man hunt if they know your every move

@@taylorbesharah8but it’s extremely unbalanced because the hunters can just follow you no matter what, and if one catches up to you, everyone else would wormhole to that guy. Beating the game in 10 lives with lots of people constantly following you no matter what you do was never a reasonable challenge. Besides, many people have done manhunts without the ability to steam snipe, and you can tell that it’s more balanced then, with the runner being able to hide, but due to the confines of a terraria world, the hunters would eventually find the runner.

Idea for a future version, Mediumcore hunter characters. The hunted is still softcore.

Without the item drops on death, this might have been a little closer!
Dying already indicates that you're at a disadvantage, giving up an item each time you die just compounds it and makes each death flow into each other. Not sure what alternative could be reasonably done, but given the astronomical advantage the hunters have with being able to see you the whole time and their raw numbers advantage, you had no chance once they started getting weapons approximately equal to yours.
This existing start is very swingy, either you stack early buffs using the picksaw and get a massive early gear advantage that lets you breeze through the game while the hunters struggle to catch up, or you don't get an early edge and once Picksaw falls off as a weapon you get crushed over and over. One option that could work is to start with a weaker, but still strong pickaxe like the bone pickaxe, and in return every time you die you get to pick an item to get that would have been obtainable for you had you killed the "next boss" in progression, or an optional boss that's reasonable for that point in progression. This would probably need some restraint? Beating EoW with this rule would be enough to get Night's Edge, but depending on how charitable you feel you might want to stick with uncrafted items like Muramasa so you still have to get the other resources involved.

The livestream audio being the mix of viewers calmly sharing info about Throarbin's position like they're in a CSGO match while Throarbin having the Rust's naked guy level of a screaming fit, was just the gold.

You could have spammed lava bombs in the beginning to slow down progress and make the surface less identifiable

As someone who did a whole manhunt thing a few years back in Terraria (it's no longer up since it has my deadname lol) this is a really cool evolution of it. Much less of a copy paste like I had done lol

An easy way for making a quick house on sky islands is just putting a torch in the sky houses. Boom. House

I feel like it would be cooler if it was you had 5 lives, started with nothing, but the hunters had hardcore characters
if you had just placed a torch inside one of the sky island houses you could have instantly had suitable housing
It would be funny if someone used the transmutation glitch to get a zenith and instantly clapped him
@Throarbin you should've used the skt island houses as housing b y placing a single torch to validate it. Discreet and effective.

This was streamed on Twitch back in November, mostly because I have done it on YT before but more people actually watch on RUclips which had led to random people doing not so great stuff on the servers before.
picksaw off rip is busted bc you can immediately get hell stone armor and start hard mode before the hunters even have gear

i think it is just almost impossible if the hunters are able to do streamsniping
My 2 cents: This is definitely a fun concept, but I think the rules can be tweaked a bit more. After the fail at making the Night's Edge, the video just sort of became a chore to watch. In this sort of deal, I think the majority of the watchers are rooting for you to win over the insurmountable odds that is 10's of people hunting you down, but with that crippling rule of your viewers getting rid of an item after each death, it just really threw you into a death loop that you couldn't escape from, and there wasn't a lot of satisfaction aside from your commentary (Which is good and engaging)
There might not be a "solution" because if you hit a certain level, then you just steamroll the viewers, so maybe it was fine... but I dunno, just left me wanting more.

You did a good job at evading hunters but should have progressed faster to keep the gap between you and the hunters. As the runner I’d quickly mine and equip hellstone, move in the guide, and beat WoF so that the hunters would be too weak to progress while you begin hardmode. Offense is the best defense 😈
