Honestly, seeing someone play Terraria in normal mode and seeing all the bosses drop loot normally instead of a treasure bag gives me nostalgia to back when expert mode never even existed.
Your whole "Rod of Discord" rant reminds me of a quest in Nier: Replicant There's a girl in-game that asks you to give her a certain type of flower seeds, and at first glance, it seems fairly easy. However, the seeds she wants aren't purchasable, which presents a problem. As it turns out, the solution is to cross-pollinate 2 different flower breeds to create new breeds, and make the flower she wants using that. Congrats, you've solved half the quest. The other half of the quest involves waiting 2 real days for the flowers to grow and the seeds to be harvestable, and then waiting another 2 days for a second round of cross-pollination. There is no way to speed this process up in any meaningful way without manipulating time zones (and even then, it brings it from 4 to 2). This, of course, is if you're lucky, because actually getting the flower you want is RNG, and if you leave the flower too long, you lose both it *and* the seeds To this day, that might be the absolute worst bit of game design I have ever come across. No item that important should force you to wait that long.
Really exciting to see you get through these bosses, but I can’t imagine how much pain you would’ve been in for expert before getting a beam firing sword. I think putting it into expert mode would be a good challenge, and maybe being forced to use the weapons of the Zenith on at least one boss or event boss would be a great way to spice up and get away from only using the terrablade. Watching this video as the first terraria video I've seen in a couple weeks, I've been playing master mode revengance death malice with calamity! I'm just looking at the video like, "man, I remember when these bosses were easy."
This music hits so different. I remember playing Mario and Luigi, Bowser's Inside Story when i was a kid on my blue Nintendo DS Lite. Such good times, the music makes me want to play it again
Yo, can I just say how much I appreciate this channel? So much work gets put into these videos, and I always watch one of your videos before I go to bed. Keep up the good work man
I've always had odd luck in Terraria, for some reason for the rod of discord I've never had to farm for it because I always somehow get it early hardmode, but when I need specific boss drops, like the Seedler, I need to kill Plantera over 30 times.
With the terra blade, you at the point now where even outside of a challenge run you could use this sword to beat everything on expert, and the influx waver to beat everything else. Can always switch to expert, I mean i've seen the Night's edge beat all the mech bosses on master mode so knew it'd be quite possible on normal, especially the destoryer, as you saw with Excalibur, swords decimate it, especially if you hit where it spawns in and get multiple chunks at once with some armour pen items for good measure + Fire gauntlets, I mean you fought Planterra with pre-hardmode acc :D You are getting better and these swords are strong weapons
Would love to see you do expert mode more where it suits you! I think if you had access to mods like vein miner, the potion seller NPC's, just quality of life mods, playing on expert would be a lot less of a chore for you.
Something that was majorly overlooked in this run, If you had played on expert mode, you could have used the bone glove and then the nights edge would've had a decent projectile. People often forget the major buff the bone Glove got.

I didn’t even notice he was upside-down in the cave because I just watched Obsoleeks upside-down play through so that was like my temporary norm.
Ok, the moment where you were just playing around with the Tavernkeep by just progressively getting him closer to the lava was hilarious lol
The spirit tracks theme made me very nostalgic, while watching
Dude you music choices and just playing this gave me nostalgia so bad lol I named every song from LoZ and Bowser's Inside Story
Have you ever considered doing a reversed-gravity playthrough? I'm imagining spawning a ton of gravitation potions and trying to beat Terraria while constantly upside down. You would probably need to find a cave before you started and the bosses would probably be quite hard but it still sounds kinda fun
This is my 2nd favorite series of yours, only falling behind the randomized block playthru!
@@MayrenSiyu I just said, the randomized block playthru. :/
i loved the super metroid music when you were fighting plantera... brought back sm memories
1:00 dream luck moment
Thank for uploading something, i was legit very bored so having this is great
Holly cow I have never beaten the mech bosses in one shot... i cried watching this... great vid!
The music at 9:16 brought back so much late night DS minish cap nostalgia
Rod of discord should be a no-hit reward for beating queen slime.
"walked past stylist"
monster walking past best npc
Loving the Minish Cap music, that was my first Zelda game and the music really brings me back!
imo RoD should be craftable out of 50 souls of light, 20 pearlwood and a nimbus rod at an alter
I personally see the Rod of Discord as a bonus item that can change a certain playthrough if you are lucky enough to get it. Kinda makes it special. I personally have only gotten it once in hundreds of hours. Only get whoopee cushions.
I literally just watched part 1 yesterday and was bummed there was no part two yet. A wonderful thing to wake up to!
I *LOVE* the use of the LoZ Spirit Tracks overworld travel theme!
Honestly seeing all these wierd gravitation potion uses is crazy, definitely gonna try it on wall in the future, and the making mining less monotonous is awesome
This series is great to see some genuine melee action, thanks and keep it up!
The destroyer: exists
Excalibur: and I took that personally
I love how it always begins with the spirit tracks overworld theme
I just wanted to say that I seriously appreciate you adding the Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s inside story sound track to this it seriously gave me nostalgia
I love the music you put over your videos, it's super nostalgic, keep up the good work 👍
Love the music choices. Really liked getting to hear tough guy alert especially
3:14 I noticed the stone texture looking odd but I wasn't 100% certain what it was, I guess that kind of counts?
Nice and relatively clean endurance fights, also I heavily support the idea to use SMG music any day.
5:32 The tavernkeep spawn places in his worlds never cease to amaze me.
I love this series so much, i dont know what it is about it
"Broken hero sword is a 1/4 drop from mothron, hopefully we don't have to do another eclipse"
Makes me remember when back in 1.3 on mobile, when I was young and played just for my own fun not knowing how usual playthroughs go (I was just messing around with stuff) I wanted to make a Terra blade (despite being a mage) and I had to farm 24 mothrons to get 2 hero swords, just for the 26th drop a third one (I turned it into a Terra Toiler when 1.4 came, because THE GREAT TERRA TOILET)
My man didn't just go to world edit and saw where shrine is 💀
He prolly did
The tavernkeep has some unusual places to rest
1:48 that reminds me when crabbar fished for like 13 hours in his Skyblock project, just to get heart crystals.
How about a run where u can only use weapons / tools / armor / accessories from a very early version of the game?
As a (casual) super metroid speedrunner, the usage of brinstar overgrowth in your videos makes me happy.
0:56 I swear this world was deliberately crafted by the Terraria gods.
3:22 Oh you jerk lmao.
5:13 Why of course.
5:25 Apparently this world sends useless NPCs to hell.
10:02 F.
12:54 Ofc the temple is flooded as well.
Nice job! Keep it up! Btw, I like the spirit tracks music that you put in. That game has some awesome music.
Once when i was playing terraria, i accidentaly summoned the eoc, but i was neither ready, nor had i noticed it already had a natural spawn. Then, much to my surprise, the one i summoned was hit by a star, and its loot gave me the power to beat the natural one.
Watching this video as the first terraria video I've seen in a couple weeks, I've been playing master mode revengance death malice with calamity! I'm just looking at the video like, "man, I remember when these bosses were easy."
The most relieving thing on earth is seeing that green “Your world has been blessed with Titanium!”
This music hits so different. I remember playing Mario and Luigi, Bowser's Inside Story when i was a kid on my blue Nintendo DS Lite. Such good times, the music makes me want to play it again
Gotta love the zelda music
Clicked as soon as I got the notification, I love this channel so much
3:59 me every time I see a chaos elemental:
yaaay, I'm so glad this series is still going, I really enjoyed episode 1 of this and I hope it keeps going
I found this channel like 2 weeks ago and ive watched it for like hours and hours straight its really good
I haven’t played melee in 1.4.1 yet and got really confused when I looked away for 10 seconds and you suddenly had a true nights edge lmao
Banging music as always, this man needs a medal
1st impaled then burned alive
wow the tavernkeep has such a hard time staying alive
The Nintendo Wii and Ds music hitting my feels man… Good job
