Every single one of their hit songs is well worth listening to. Telling you dude, the 70's and 80s were the BEST music ever made in rock and roll, jazz and even plays like "Phantom of the Opera" (in 1986). The lyrics in "Bad Company" were framed around "western" as in the renegades who were former soldiers in the Confederate Army during the Civil War in the U.S. Many renegade groups terrorized western ranchers, farmers and residents of small towns out west, stealing whatever they wanted, rampaging and destroying whatever they wanted, raping women, rustling cattle, and some gangs went to work for big money to drive farmers off of land so it could be used for cattle feed, and destroying homesteads to make clearance for the railroads.

There is no doubt in my military mind that we who came of age in the late 60's through the 70's, had THE best music ever put to vinyl, 8=track, cassette, et al...and people are still finding the music we so enjoyed, to this day. Rock ON!!!

Oh goody! You are in for a treat and maybe us too. If you like this, you will like all the Bad Company. Paul left Bad Co. and joined up with Jimmy Page to form the band The Firm. They had a couple of big hits in the 80's. One was "Radioactive" and the other was "Satisfaction Guaranteed". After that, Paul went on to perform with the band The Law in the 90's. It is all good. Paul Rodgers voice is amazing. Check out some Bad Co. live performances -- I especially love the live versions of "Ready For Love" and "Burnin' Sky" performed by Bad Co. live at Wembley 2010.

Brother, your passion for wanting to know more and to expand upon it is as refreshing as it is inspiring! You have quickly become one of my favorite reactors to watch and listen to! You're a younger man than I, but you remind me of my younger self when I was learning about the different types of music I was being exposed to. I was all about hard rock and heavy metal, and I picked up the bass guitar and thought I was pretty good, then a friend asked me to go to 2 concerts with him... The 1st concert was Parliament Funkadelic, and Bootsey Collins changed my life and how I played bass!!&! The 2nd concert was Earth, Wind and Fire!!&! My mind and my eyes were opened!!&! Led Zeppelin was my very 1st concert, and I have seen many, many other bands since then. Continue your journey, young man!!&!

When Led Zeppelin re-signed with Atlantic they negotiated their own record imprint, swan song records. The 1st two bands they signed were Bad Company and Maggie Bell and the pretty things. Because Bad Co. was on Zeppelin's sub label Peter Grant, Zep's long time manager, took over their management. Ironic that Zep signed them when Paul Rodgers is considered one of the best, most versatile rock singers, giving Plant a run for his title in the GOAT sweepstakes as one of only 3 or 4 singers ever mentioned in the same breath as Plant.

They broke up because singer Paul Rogers had quit the Hard Partying Hard Rock lifestyle by the end of the 70s and the rest of the band did not. Paul wanted to try some solo albums and eventually hooked up with Jimmy Page in the early 80s forming The Firm, which produced two albums. The band Bad Company did reform in the early 80s without Paul Rodgers. The other 3 members brought in singer Brain Howe and had a few successful albums with him before breaking up again. The Brian Howe albums sound completely different from the Paul Rogers era.
