Bittersweet performance tonight. Happy to see Jorma and Jack on outside stage, but I will miss the quarantines. I have enjoyed them immensely!!!!

Would love to hear Jack's vocal stories , but the volume on his mic is a pretty low. His bass mic is great super clear and sending his energy through perfectly.. so good.
Just thought to let you know about Jack's mic if you didn't know already.

@NewPaltz75 New Paltz the #1 party school! I went to Suny Oswego 75-80. Never been to New Paltz, but heard about it! Must say there was no lack of partying at Oswego.😊
@@brianht1434 Was in New Paltz same years and longer.....Funny, cause I always wanted to visit Oswego...though as you wrote, to me, New Paltz was Paradise....Saw Hot Tuna for first time, in gym during 1974.....Papa John was with electric Hot Tuna.....they played til almost sunrise.....nice chatting with you...I'm from Nyc but will ALWAYS love the mountains Upstate!!! :)
@NewPaltz 75 Oswego as you probably know was on the southern shore of Lake Ontario. Everyone would sit on the cliff and watch the sunset right into the lake after dinner! The Aurora with green lights was often very evident late at night.Winds were terrible at times, could barely walk to class.Great memories, grauated the summer of 80. Needed 6 more credits, so I stayed an extra 3 summer months! No regrets.😊

Believe that's an ice cream cone he is holding to his head for coolng relief! Europe "72" I own the vinyl disc.Must be buddies, too much of a coincidence, I'm guessing. "I Know You Rider" is on that album, sure you know Jorma taught Jerry everything he learned about playing the guitar! The audio quality is far short of the excellent sound from all previous 48 shows. It all sounds muddy, too much digital loss. Better get back in the building & the main stage.

When was the first time you saw Hot Tuna or Jorma?
My first show was acoustic Hot Tuna at Stony Brook University. Poppa John on fiddle.

@Robert S. When was that Stony Brook show? Grew up on L.I. had friends attend College there. Never saw Papa John at an acoustic show. Only once at a reunion video on RUclips, 03/04/88 from the Fillmore, S.F.
I saw Jorma perform with Jefferson Airplane in 1969 at Rhode Island College. My first concert and it was awesome!!
@Diane Hennessey 1969 is the last year Jorma and Jack were a part of the Airplane. They (Kaukonen and Casady) left Airplane to form Hot Tuna in 1970 and I am sure glad they did!
@@brianht1434 Jorma and jack toured with the Airplane 70,71,72. Toured to support BARK and recorded 30 SECONDS OVER WINTERLAND in those years.

The sound was unfortunately not happening tonight. Nice try you guys. At least Vanessa’s grifting was muted as well. I love it when jorma has had enough of her talking and starts to noodle unconsciously. I had tickets to DSO a few weeks ago. The covidians were out in force, you had to stay in your pod. If you stood up , mask on. Time to buy a set of 1972 encyclopedias and start reading.....thanks for the shows jorma, I enjoyed most of them. I’m glad your happy.

@Mark Ennis Second time that I have seen you post this comment. No problem for me, proof next to my driver's liscense in my wallet. Guess you have chosen not to get vaccinated? Some colleges are denying admission unless vacinated. Hospitals will not employ you unless vaccinated. Some places of business are adopting a similar mandate. There are exemptions for certain individuals. Tough call for me, I have mixed emotions, but having exemptions available needs to be considered. IMHO

@Renold Happel If you subscribe to the website, I believe the commercials will not happen anymore. I don't get any commercials and I have ordinary RUclips with no upgrades! Check it out, if you haven't subscribed as of yet!!
Truly awful sound quality, except for Jorma's mics. If Vanessa is using a mic, you could have fooled me. Mostly can't make out a word she's saying. Mostly same with Jack's mic.
Best part of this bad sounding show is not having to hear Vanessa ramble on about her mask mandate. Remember to produce your vaccine card at the door to enter dominion. I've always found her to be rude
Why you gotta be a dick about masks? She has responsibility for the well-being of others.
The mandate of the mask it was so important, the mask has saved lives.
I find this comment about Vanessa to be rude.
You might consider the possibility that the issue is with you and not with her.

Thanks mark, small elephant in the room. Most of the mask people wear in LA don’t do anything. Not n95. Total mask theater. “ but it makes everyone feel better “ you know what would make me feel better? Getting rid of the bum pooping in front of my house, did I say bum? I mean un housed neighbors.
