Hello R&K🙂 Only 25 left to 5,000 subs!!! *Subscribe now and binge watch.* *In my opinion you will not be disappointed.* 😁 Very nice folks at this sale and amazing stuff in the basement. That was a very nice Rider jacket the lady was wearing (if you tell anyone, I will deny saying so😉) I was hoping that the "winner" held up one of the spindles to the railing, to see who (whom?) was correct. 😉 Happy HumpDay Take care of Yourselves 😁
I remember as a kid, i'd grocery shop with my parents on payday at tha "Giant Open -Air Market". It was the Walmart of the 60's!! Lol. But it had a deli, eat in diner, bakery where they made glazed donuts (only thing i'd want). You stand in front of work counter and watch them decorate cakes n other bakery goods. My favorite part was lady made icing roses, on a stick swirling around . For good while there was a huge cheese, you could buy how much you wanted. It sat in a keg/barrel kind of thingy o floor. It was almost as tall as me! They had a gourmet/imported section where i couldsee what seemed to be gross food!! Chocolate covered ants comes to mind. Lol it was the forerunner of the supermarkets of today
I'd try anything once... even chocolate covered ants!! :D :D :D When I (rob) was a child, my parents and I went on several trips, one memorable trip was to a Florida Alligator farm, where we ate alligator!!! :D :D :D It was surprisingly good!!!
my Aunt had a funky stair rail that wasn't very wide, but was against the stairway wall. She found some uprights (like what you bought) and had my Grandpa cut them in half lengthwise and put them in under the railing. Worked well and looked good!
My relatives have a cheese box factory right near my house. They don't make much anymore. It's called Seymour Woodenware. They stamped it on the bottom of their boxes.
TFS! WOW beautiful old furniture! Great haul! I was 100 for 👍 maybe my lucky day?? 🍀yes! Rob cracks me up every time you say garage. Garage garage garage. Smokers stand👍👍👍👍👍☮️❤️🇺🇸🤣😂😅🤣😝
Haha!! *NEAT!!* :D LOL I guess that's just our accents... I didn't think I say "Garage" too funny..,. but maybe I do! :D haha! You know, we got a comment the other day from someone, who told us to stop being phony and use our real voices!! HAAAAA!!! Like as if!! Really? People think we are FAKING IT!?!?!?!?!? lol I couldn't believe it. hahahahahahaha.
Can I ask how you determined smokers stand? Looks like telephone or magazine/newspaper slots on end. No doubting trying to see how you knew. Thx I love learning and you teach us so well. I can’t believe how good prices are in your area.
Wish we had all those yard sales here in the UK we have Car Boot Sales set up in fields and ocasionally the odd Garage Sale but nothing on this scale!!
Definitely scored a nice smokers stand. My mum has a nice one too, but without the side pockets and with a shelf underneath. That basement furniture was beautiful too!
Great stuff today! I was loving the Christmas lawn decor! I have several ones that were similar where you glued the pattern/print to the wood and then cut it out. Those cheese boxes were a great deal! \m/
They had some very interesting items, not withstanding the hall tree and cabinet in the basement. I didn't hear it mentioned, did the radio actually work?
The cheese was probably sold to a store in that size, then cut up and sold to the public (like they do now.) Can you give a little history lesson on the smoker's stand? I have seen these, but would have called it a magazine stand.
Yeah....you could have made her an offer and given her a post it with your name and phone or email. I'm think'n if you give them a business card they will probably ask more money???
I bet you she may well have sold it if you threw a price at her, unless of course it was a family piece. I could see not wanting to part with a family piece. Totally great deals though. A buck for all thosr spindles and a buck for each cheese box? Killer!

Great idea!!! We may have to do that if the spindles ARE to wide....
The smokers stand is awesome.

Hey Renda! I'll have Karen chime in as she's the expert.. :)
Love the finds. People appreciate your knowledge. And they love to see you drool over their furniture

Show us what you want to do with stairs, please. Nice score on smoke stand. Those folks had a lot of great stuff!
That project may wait until the fall, but I'll do my best to show updates on that project. :)

Awesome vid 😎❤✌
They had some very interesting items, not withstanding the hall tree and cabinet in the basement. I didn't hear it mentioned, did the radio actually work?
Supposedly the radio works, although we didn't end up trying it, because we could tell by looking at it, it wasn't old enough for our collection.
The cheese was probably sold to a store in that size, then cut up and sold to the public (like they do now.)
Can you give a little history lesson on the smoker's stand? I have seen these, but would have called it a magazine stand.
I will ask Karen to chime in about the smoker's stand. :)
There is always some way to get Rob to carry something. Lol
Rob being sarcastic 😝
Loved the cheeeeze boxes.😁✌❤🇺🇸
Nice find. Too bad the antique glass cabinet isnt for sale.
I know!! It's *AWESOME!!* :D
Great buys. Rob I would hope that no one would eat that much cheese in a month.. lol
*SERIOUSLY!!* =D HAAAAAAAhahahahaha!
Tire kickers...lol
Wow, that's a lot of cheese sandwiches.
hahaha!! YES!!!
how would they keep cheese from melting;;;;;
Are you guys in Canada.
Yes! In Saskatchewan. The Canadian prairies.
Yeah....you could have made her an offer and given her a post it with your name and phone or email. I'm think'n if you give them a business card they will probably ask more money???
Well.. it was a family piece... they may not have liked us try to talk her into selling it to us hahahahahahaha
👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
✌🤙🇬🇺

We thought the same.. but yes it is a family piece and so I think they want to try to keep it within the family.. it is GORGEOUS though! =)
