I love the bed tray because I not only own the exact one, but bought probably 30 years ago ! It was a big spurge for a 20 year old. I dreamed about making myself breakfast in bed on the weekends and making a special breakfast. Well reality and life while your 20 changes things. However, I have used it for my family, my kids, husband, and Mom in her last days. I still have it and love it and now have too many memories of ever think of selling it. It’s was made so well still works great. 😊❤😂

Trunk Buy Question: Back in the years we set up Estate Auction Previews, Estate Sales, Consignment Booths and even Community Garage sales there was always one key principle to the set-up work. That was to feature those items that would be the best draw or catch the shopper's eye, to get potential buyers to stop and look or in the case of bidders, to hang around for the sale. So we would intentionally select items in high demand or brightly colored (reds, blues, yellows, etc) to be featured on the first tables, counters and shelves where the people entered the area.
Sometimes, the selected items were not the most expensive items in the sale, but they were the most interesting or colorful, to catch the eye or chosen to appeal to a wide variety of buyers. For instance, a full size pick-up might have the most value, but a bright red vintage Tractor or a horse drawn carriage would make people stop and look. Those were the items parked out at the road to draw the eye in.
This same idea translates to sourcing items for a booth (like the woven trunk), those items that naturally catch the eye or make people want to stop, look and touch are good buys, even if they are not always good profit margins. You have to get people to pick your booth over all the others to browse in. Then, just as when sourcing, the items have to be priced for good value to close the sale. This is why you pick-up items in Goodwill and look them over for quality first, then check the price. Rule 1 is: you have to get potential buyers to stop and ponder.
Even though we do on-line auctions these days (for smaller physical items), instead of working for a large brick and mortar suction house, the concept is the same. If the opening page of an auction web site shows thumb nail photos of 20 auction lots, those first 20 offerings are the key. They should be filled with high demand, eye catching lots that make several potential bidders want to see all the lots in an auction. If you can't catch their interest on the first page, they may not scroll to the next page.
One of the auction companies that does House Clear-outs, via one-line sales, in our area has never learned this. They typically start their lot photos in the kitchen showing off run of the mill dishes and cleaning supplies under the counter. Then they do the bathrooms. Later Lots might be Riding Mowers, Gold Jewelry, Artisan Pottery, Rolling Tool Chests or antiques, but that first page is filled with the worst products they need to shift for their clients. Their methodology always confounds me.
I look at most of their lot sequencing and ask myself why would anyone with a house to empty give the job to these folks. A Lot of coffee cups might be lot 6, while a $400 Kayak is Lot 360. You want everyone bidding on those early lots, so they are mentally committing to engage in the sale and to drive to pick-up their wins. Once they have won a lot, then the mental process of many buyers is that they might as well bid on other items, since they are making the trip anyway. This is similar to booth purchases. Once a buyer selects the first item, knowing they will have to stop and pay, they then consider a second or third item, too.

That store has such reasonable prices. I was in the Goodwill near Lemoyne, PA today and the prices seemed really high to me.

Karen, if the markings in the Sonoma bowls are not actual chips from the beaters, I think you could get them out very easily with power paste. Scrub Daddy makes it for a reasonable price. I hope that helps in the future! 🤗
