    Whenever I follow one of Marion's recipes, I get the written version out, measure out all the ingredients in advance, do all the prep and then pop the video on and cook along the Marion like we're in the same kitchen having a fab old time cooking together. Love your work, your recipes, thank you for helping me up my cooking game over the last couple of years

    Thank you.... often times if you are preparing a recipe for people from a different country than yourself.... you want to make a good impression on those people.(Not too . mention it can be embarrassing if not prepared correctly. They can be very critical but you have to take that light heartedly. I love that part of the culture 🙂

    hi Marion! i always get worried about frying because i don’t know what to do with the amount of oil left over afterwards. the few times i’ve tried the oil was just dark or had crispy droppings that burned….what can i do? Thanks 😊

    • @pennyjupiter7604
      @pennyjupiter7604 3 года назад +1

      It’s annoying but if you strain the oil and plan a few deep fried dishes for the week to use again it’s absolutely fine. Bear in mind that even after using multiple times it will still be A LOT fresher than the oil that most restaurants use. You can also fry a bit of bread and then taste to let you know if your oil is getting stale.

    just wondering, if we accidentally fry too much stuff in a hot oil and make it all soggy, can it be helped by turning the fire to medium high and fry them for a longer time?

  • @simonaholban5221
    @simonaholban5221 3 года назад

    Can someone explain please why you have to fry them twice? Will you not obtain the same result if you leave them in the oil longer? Will they not be just as crispy?

    To Marion or her people: I would love to have her educate us ... me ... on why she brushed on the sauce at the end. As a former hot wing maker at a small shop, my instinct would have been to take them out of the oil and quickly slosh them all around in a big bowl with the sauce, then take them out to garnish with the sesame seeds. Is it a risk of sogginess?

    • @anubagchi1436
      @anubagchi1436 3 года назад +1

      Definitely run the risk of being soggy. Especially cause the sauce is a sticky sauce!

      Tasty and Buzzfeed are too busy prostituting recipes to an American palate and are still stuck in the stone ages glorifying things like s’mores, pepperoni pizza, burgers, Oreos and potato chips as though they’re major nutritional food groups.
      They are the most boring, insular, monotonous and uncultured food videos in the universe.
