I don't think anyone made a time stamp so here it is: Sleeping mask: 1:14 bunny headband: 3:21 pajama shorts: 6:12 house slippers: 9:28 Thanks me later sis.
Other sewing DIY channels: Here’s how to cut the sleeves off your tshirt! April puts out four useful, original projects - on a theme no less - one of which is slippers - from scratch.
I recommend to you the channel madebyaya. She's an awesome creator as well, from scratch, and pattern making too. Channels like this and like her are really sewing themed.
I was making some curtains for my home and I was loosing motivation to finish, so I put on your videos to help me remember why I like sewing ❤️ thanks for the help!
Curtains are soul sucking. I had to make 3 sets of them for my sister. She asked for them for Christmas for her basement windows. Sigh. They are so BORING! lol.
These slippers!!! 🥺✨ I’m totally making them. Also any time I see faux fur I have to add this tip from my cutting counter says: always use a blade like a box cutter or exacto knife on the wrong side of the fabric, cutting just deep enough to go through the knitted part. It keeps your workspace from getting too hairy because it doesn’t shear the fur off.
Love the slippers and bunny headband! The shorts were so cute! I would have never thought to make these items! Especially the slippers and sleep mask. Got me thinking how I'd love to see a tutorial on different/popular fabrics and the ways you can use that fabric conventionally and unconventionally.
I'd just like to add that eucalyptus is actually an EXTREMELY flammable tree, in my country we have tons of problems with it because the fire spreads crazy quickly compared to other trees, e.g. oak, pine. So I don't exactly think buying products made from it is very sustainable, because feeding that industry very often results in other trees that could be less problematic during wildfires being replaced by huge eucalyptus plantations (this is what I see in my country specifically). However, I don't think anyone can be perfectly "green" or "sustainable", just a thought if anyone wants to keep this in mind when they're buying things. Anyway, loved the video! I'm definitely going to try the bunny ears!
So we also should stop using paper... The only true way to reduce our impact is by buying products of high quality and that lasts longer, cause we'll always need some kind of resource, especially the natural ones...
Eucalyptus is so flammable in its natural state due to the amount of oil it retains. Products made from it have been refined to eliminate that oil making the flammability of products no more than any other fabric.
@@alinesombrasantos6336 I definitely agree with you. Like I said, I don't think anyone can be perfectly "sustainable". I'm saying this but I'm not vegan, we all do what we can. I was just sharing that information in case anyone feels like they can skip on a certain product, especially because a lot of companies are green washing these days.
No matter what you buy there will be a problem. When a product becomes more common it has more opportunity to become better. We breed fruit to be better, so we can breed Eucalyptus to be better. Still use less water but maybe not so flammable. Or just proper safety measures at a Eucalyptus plantation. Cotton could be bred to use less water. Water could be used in closed loop system so it's not an issue anymore. Recycled cotton products. Etc. So yes, probs not better or worse than many other products. Just try find products with the least abuse (of people or the planet).
Fabric ✔️ Sewing machine ✔️ No income during pandemic ✔️ Christmas around the corner ✔️ DIY gifts for family members ✔️ I'm ready looks like I qualify to make homemade Christmas 🎄 gifts 😉👍 great video thanks for the step by step!
The shorts are so cute! All that hemming would be so tedious, but worth it for something comfy & a bit sexy for bedtime & lounging. Will definitely try the slippers. I have white & black grippy fabric (bought them on a whim from Hobby Lobby) in my stash. Your DIY is just like a pair I have from Old Navy that are about 17 years old. They still look brand new, but it wouldn't hurt to have a back-up!
It’d be a dream to have your talent! I often want to give gifts to my friends but I can’t afford much, so I always try making my gifts and I can only wish to be able to make them a slumber gift set
Thanks, April, for all your great sewing ideas. You are one of the people I have enjoyed learning how to reuse resale items. These slippers are exactly what I need for those midnight runs.
I absolutely loved all of these! Such a nice gift set to give to someone! I came across this video while looking for a tutorial on how to sew a pair of simple shorts. Now I’m definitely gonna make all of these! Thanks for the easy instructions. You are so pretty and your voice is so calming! 💛 Much love from Maldives 🇲🇻

Cool tutorial!! I have some leftover "minky" furry type fabric scraps from a baby quilt, they're such awkward sizes I wasn't sure what to do with them but the slippers would be cute!
