Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the twelfth major installment and the twenty-second release in the Assassin's Creed series, and a successor to 2018's Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Set in the 9th century, the player controls Eivor, a Viking raider and Assassin during the Viking invasion of Britain. The game is scheduled for release in late 2020 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia, and is to be Ubisoft's launch title for the next-generation consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
In Valhalla, the player takes on the role of Eivor, a Viking raider who leads their fellow Vikings from Norway in raids and battles against King Aelfred and the four Anglo-Saxon medieval kingdoms of England - Wessex, Northumbria, East Anglia, and Mercia - near the end of the 9th century as part of the Viking invasion of Britain. Additionally, the game will continue to tie into the modern-day events related Abstergo Industries' researcher Layla Hassan, who was featured in both Origins and Odyssey, and to the Templars and Assassins that have tied the series together.
Players will have the choice of playing Eivor as either male or female and are further able to select their hair, warpaint, clothing and armor. Combat has been changed to allow dual wielding of almost any weapon. The "Eagle Eye" mechanics are also expected to return in the form of a raven that will be Eivor's animal companion in the game. The player can use the raven to scout the nearby areas as previous avian companions had done in Origins and Odyssey. The game will rely less on a traditional leveling system and instead focus more on the selection of skills through skill trees selected by the player as Eivor advances through the game. Enemies will be rated based on the collection of skills. The skills trees will be similar to those found in The Witcher, Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Player choices through conversation or gameplay options will have impacts on the characters and their political alliances with other non-player characters.
A central feature of the game is the settlement that the player, as Eivor, will help build and lead during the game. Ismail described its importance as "a lot of what you're doing in the game world is, at the end of the day, going to feed into the settlement so that it can grow, it can flourish." The player will be able to direct construction of certain types of buildings which in turn provide benefits for gameplay. To build these structures, the player will need to lead the vikings on raids to collect resources. Naval combat will return, though more as a means of faster medium for travel for performing such raids, and for escaping after land combat, rather than in engagement with other naval vessels.
Valhalla is a single player game, but will include online components for the purpose of encouraging players to share their progress and creativity.

For those of you who don’t have the exploding arrows ability just yet, on the second armor piece that is mentioned in the video.. look up and you will see a chandelier. You can shoot an arrow at the chandelier, it will drop and you will then be able to access the chest.

pretty sure every video this guy makes is about one of the best armor sets in the game that you can get very very early
This. And the armors you get are always situational. "Best set" is usually mix of two sets that gives bonuses to YOUR playstyle. Archer playstyle loses all advantages from this set's bonuses. Like why to use this when you are rarely surrounded by 3 or more enemies? Double hammers? Why not go Valkyrie+Thor's for quick close up move with speed bonus and let the hammer's use the stun bonuses from Thor's? There is no "best armor" yet. Maybe later.
@@thekamekimmo the one single armor with bonus to armor and attack... CLEARLY makes this the best in the game.
@@MrSoloDolo20100 When surrounded 2 or more enemies. So it depends on your playstyle. If you play archer style, where you rarely are close to 2 enemies the whole bonus is wasted. As melee raiding armor, yeah, really really good.

The Huntsman Armor Set is awesome too. The Berserker Set with the Bear head reminds me so much of what Arthur wears in Red Dead Redemption 2 after killing the Legendary bear.

Thanks for this guide. Most that I have come across so far are actually endgame armor sets that you could possibly acquire by going into areas vastly under leveled and probably still doing a boss fight or something.

They do have that you just have to press down the right joystick on the armour piece you want the hide
@@nikevivid9438 that doesn't change the look of the armor. That just hides it. Odessey had a feature that u could use that transformed a gear peice into something you liked even though the stats sucked, u kept the look while keeping your current armor stats.

@@tombstonetactical3526 They mean transmogrify, dude. Literally making one piece of armor look like another while maintaining the original's stats. The mark of any good RPG is it giving players the ability to maintain fashion and function in tandem. 👌🏿

When you're comparing armor stats you can just click right bumper and it'll show both side by side. Opposed to going back/forth. Just a thought, great vid tho!

Great video Tags. I followed it and it took about two hours to get all pieces not exactly rushing. The only part that game me trouble was the very first piece.
That was the hardest piece. I was level 23 when I got it and I just used my people to raid and kill everyone around. It worked well.

I would recommend you start each section with the piece you will be retrieving first. I had 3 pieces already I had picked up awhile ago and had to watch each section before I knew which you were showing how to get to. Great video though! 👍🏼
I hop in the future they break down the armor perks into sets. Like you need 2 brigandine pieces to unlock the surrounded bonus, 3 pieces gives you say “10% extra dagger damage / etc” 4 gives you the set bonus, and 5 gives you access to a secret perk. I liked that customization from Odyssey. Mixing and matching armors to find perks that fit your play style
For the trousers you can use a torch aswell

For the chest piece you can shoot down the chandelier to break the floor open. Just an FYI in case you don't have the exploding arrow ability like I didn't. 👍
If you don't have exploding arrows, you can use Eivors sight to hit red pulley above spiked chandelier. That will drop and knock out floor.

I’ve seen tons of best armor sets on YT but I personally have this armor set mythical I think it’s the best I’ve found so far it makes sense more melee dam and more armor the more enemies around u makes sense

Thank you so much dude! I'm power level 25 and I thought this was going to be impossible but it's genuinely very easy, the hardest part were honestly the boots but that only took 5-6 tries. (I play on the second highest difficulty btw if that means anything)
I play on dregr difficulty. (The very hard difficulty) and the game is still too easy.
First Bear set ingame is in 130 areas. Great game design... But will get the cape from this to compliment my 4 piece Thor.
i am power level 40 and i have this set....if ur weapons are powerful u can easily take down enemies and use stealth + hidden blade....super ez. LEVEL GATING IS NOT A THING IN THIS GAME. THIS IS NOT ODYSSEY I REPEAT NOT ODYSSEY

If you unlock the harpoon impalement ability you can pretty much 1 shot most enemies lol

@@jeanpaul2042 I did that on Ivarr. LOL. Iron Cloud Bow, impalement and flawless raven armor. Only thing I upgraded to mythical is Varins axe. using the flawless Bludwulf shield. For my hunter bow, I'm using the death-seeker. Havent lost a fight yet. LOL. skill 156.
My go to armor so far is thegns chest and gauntlets and mentors boots and helmet for an increase crit chance after a parry and then extra attack after a crit. Stacks up all the time

You can also throw a torch at the floor to break it, unless it's a reinforced floor (or wall) in which case you do need explosives
To add to what he said. If you want to clear the areas you going into so that you don’t need to back track. Use a light bow, and fully put all stats in stun attack. Then shoot the enemy in the weak spots. Then hit them with Q. You can one shot enemies 6x your power level doing this. As example I am power rank 40 and cleared rank 190 monastery doing this

How long did it take you
This video stands the test of time, two years later. Excellent video. Only real differences are: you do have to fight quite a few guys on the coast of Cent - or at least my sneakiness wasn't very skillful. If if you're low level, you won't win a stand up fight. Lure them out in one's or two's with a predator hit in the head, then nail those weak spots with your hunter bow, and stun kill 'em. And the guy guarding the cave in Sciropescire doesn't seem to patrol anymore. So hide in the he bushes, whistle him over, and assassinate him.

If you don’t have the ability like he does, there is a chandelier right above the chest for cathedral, if you shoot it it will fall and break the floor for you.
I’m downloading this game today because I’ve been watching your gameplay and I’m addicted to this game even though I’ve never played it...or any other A C game for that matter.
My take is to hold off playing it on PS4 I’ve experienced many bugs, the games crashed on me 3 times and I’m only 5 hours in, there are a lot of frame drops, I’m waiting to play till I get a ps5 i think you should too

I feel ya. By the time I collect a set and the weapons I want AND all of the tungsten to upgrade them...I’m ready to wear something else lol.
I believe it would actually be a Coat of Plates, or Earliest, Lamellar, as the Design for Brigandine is really just a More Advanced version of these two armours, and by the Look of it, its not Brigandine, its main Fault is the Plates on the Outside, which make it lean to it being leaning towards Lamellar.
Though I can see the idea they were going for, it is Unfortunately, not a Brigandine as Brigandine is very specific in how it is done, and how it looks from the outside, not to mention, the Setting for this Game is Too Early for Brigandine to Exist.

Great thing about this game is that you can equip one armour but pay the blacksmith for the visual change but keep the buffs
This is my favourite armour in the whole game. But I upgrade it to the fullest. But change the look of it from mythical to flawless.
That way you keep the highest stats with the silver look.
All I know is I haven’t even gotten the game yet, waiting til Christmas, but I’m getting every armor set he has a video on

Lure them to a near by river your crew will fire arrows and you will have unlimited, i did it with power level 45 🤣 i have the excalibur

If you ask me, Thegns is definitely the best armor. Besides maybe Draugr pack that cost $20. And then Thor's armor. Or a combination of Thegns armor and Thor's armor.

How could they forget the cosmetic skin option from Ody, so much gear I'd like to wear but can't because one sets stats is better than the one that looks good.
Probably a feature for later updates. With Covid im sure they just focused solely on core features and will add more 'fluff' content in time

@@YoshiLupus Here's hoping. Just a shame we'll never be able to admire our helmets during cutscenes though. Still never understood why they removed that function in Odyssey, but left it in for Origins.
