Recording with the Taycan this weekend and this video was super helpful! Thank you! I also subscribed since I grew up around Porsches. Keep up the great work!
sort of like the Enterprise going to warp speed. Sometime I would like to see a video about something much more boring, how do you get leaves and crud out of the front radiators, when the mesh grills seem to block every way to get to the radiator. Keep up the great video's.
Hi, I’m one of your blind viewers. One of my family members had a 2020 Porsche Ticon for us. I’m just curious how does the launch control when you actually slow down what make or just in general when you’re driving what makes all the little high-pitched whistle wine when it slows down, I’m blind. Can you also describe what a portion looks like?
Thanks for such great videos. Just wanted to ask if we get a RWD (Base Taycan), without Sport chrono package. Do we still get the Launch Control in the car? My second question is how much of a difference you will feel in RWD sport and sport plus mode. Thank you.
You're welcome Rahul! Thank you for the support! Great question The Taycan is the first Porsche to be able to complete launch control without Sport Chrono Package and do a launch in Sport Mode! Personally I do not feel a huge difference in sport and Sport plus mode 👍🏼
All Taycan's have it! It is the only Porsche that Launch Control can be done in either Sport or Sport +. All other Porsches need Sport Chrono Package to activate Launch control and can only be done in Sport +. 👍🏼
Thank you Filip! The Taycan is the only Porsche you can do Launch control in while the car is in Sport mode. The car will typically turn on when you have the key on you while entering the vehicle!
Hi! Thanks for being so informative. I’m looking into purchasing a taycan 4s. I’m debating between two cars- one with sports chrono and the other with none. What’s the main difference and am I missing out if I don’t get sports chrono package? The car with no sport chrono is my preferred color option, black. The car with sports chrono is volcano grey metallic.
Hey Justin! Thank you! Congratulations, you definitely wont regret it! In the Taycan the difference of Sport Chrono is not substantial! On a day to day usability stand point you are not missing anything really! Some of the difference from Sports Chrono clock one without is as follows: Sports Chrono: -GT Multifunction steering Wheel - Mode switch on the steering and clock on dash - Sport Plus mode which further enhances chassis, PAA (Porsche Active Aerodynamics) and temperature regulation of the main vehicle Battery. - Addition of an Individual mode (Personal mode- ex- Driving mode in normal, sport suspension on and vehicle is lowered suspension setting) can save there presets when switched to Individual mode. From a day to day usage stand point these differences are not that significant. Sounds like the black one may be the winner 😊. Do both Taycan's have the Electric Sport sound? Overall I feel like this option is more important as it really helps bring more emotion to the car! Thanks for reaching out! Let me know if you have any more questions and I would be happy to help!
What about standart taycan rwd with base battery pack and no air suspension? I guess sports chrono than doesnt make any sense? Thank you for your answer
Great vid! Just for your own information though, launch control didn't come out for the first time with PDK. It came out in the 2008 997 GT2 MANUAL transmission ;-) Which was, similar operation. Clutch in and full throttle to activate, sat at 5000rpm, then side step the clutch and away you go!
Yes! You can car will need to be in Sports Plus and once it is warmed up you will be able to do what is called a "Performance Start" in your Cayenne! I highly recommend especially being a Turbo it is a monster!! 🥳
Acceleration without launch control is just a quick acceleration. With Launch control activated this supplies the motor(s) with max power. It is similar to pre loading a windy toy car preparing it for max acceleration before setting it down on the ground 👍🏼
Thanks for explaining. Finally someone who explained in plain English
You're welcome David! Glad it was helpful 😀
Im not a fan of electric mobility, but when porsche comes out with taycan, you know it’s going to be amazing, obviously.
Most definitely! It is on another level! Insane!
Can I do this on taycan on base model
@@PitstopSid yes, this is possible with taycan base model
Thanks the detail setup. I was able for the first test my launch control on my Taycan Turbo. Insane acceleration!

Thank you! Appreciate the support 👍🏼 Awesome... enjoy filming the Taycan! Look forward to the video! What kind of video?!
Holy crap! Loved it. Thank you
So happy to hear! You're welcome!

Agreed it is crazy!! You got it Brad! I will add this to my list of video's to create! Thank you🙏
Easy! Have my spike tyres on so have to wait till summer 😜
LOL love it 🥰
Yo Mason~! It's me Bruce Lee. Nice vids!
Hey Bruce! Thank you 🙏🏼
@@Pcarwhisperer subscribe to mine too and we gotta do the collaboration
Hello if you could please make a video to see where is the jack location I couldn't find Thank you very much
I have a Taycan Turbo S. Loving it. Can the launch control be activated on the Sports Plus mode or only the Sports mode?
It can be activated in either Sport or Sport Plus mode in the Taycan. All other cars need Sport Chrono with Sport Plus 👍🏼
thanks for the info
You're welcome!

@@Pcarwhisperer Try it with a Turbo S. The difference is significant.
Odd. My Taycan Turbo S can do it in Sport+ as well.

Question, can you do launch in sport plus mode or just sport mode? Does car turns on by itself or you have to do it? Anyways, great video and sound!

@@Pcarwhisperer Thanks!
Yes you can launch in Sport+. Depending on the car, the difference will be very noticeable. In the Turbo S you only get the 761 hp launch in Sport+.
Before you launch when you had your foot on both brakes and throttle, were you at full throttle?
If so, did you get wheel spin?
That’s awesome
Thank you :)
It must be fast throwing your head back is all I needed to see!😂
Hahah glad you enjoyed it :) That part was pretty funny! I sure throws your head in the back of the seat!

Mason, you can ignore my earlier question on the same topic. As usual , you have the answer to my question!! Great work
Is this the same for the 2021 Panamera base model?
Hi Alvin! Yes the set up is the same on RWD Panamera. However it will only have the launch control feature if sport chrono is optioned 👍🏼
@@Pcarwhisperer awesome thanks, heading out to vegas in a few weeks and I’m renting one for a couple days😅

Hi Tim! Yes it does! Just need to put the car into Sport Mode 👍🏼
