great tune, tho! absolute fire, and nothing but truth.
Big rock candy mountain goes hard tbh
@@catpetter you aint fuckin wrong friend! friend of mine and i used to listen to the track on a cd player every morning on the bus ride to school. alongside 'in a gadda da vida' and 'black water'
Harry McClintock ? It does sound a bit close, but eh great song. Only so many chords ya can use I guess ha. I've been guilty
Bob Dylan vibes. Great work here!
The man sounds like a cross between Bob Dylan and Rod Stewart, but he looks just like Jim Morrison.
add some Keith Richards
and Jon Bon Jovi..
Yeeeessssssss y'all nailed it!
Holy shit dude you've come out of nowhere (from my perspective) the past few days with some incredible work. This is just amazing. And that last line is fantastic, a lot of people would do well to think on that.
The creativity behind this is amazing. Incredible way to spread awareness and a powerful message through something short and sweet. Well done.
uh uh skibidi dop dop yes yes
“When your poor they say you OD, if you’re rich they say it’s poisoned”
Ren sent me. I'm glad he did.
🤓🇸🇪
Love your music, it's wonderful to see people still making folk/protest songs. This one in particular just brings tears to my eyes, especially the last verse. "She'd only kill a criminal" is a brilliant line.
ALL my friends are dead. thank you for this song.
Me to man.
March 16th will be 8 years clean. don't miss it.
Congratulations! That’s monumental!
"I aint heavy, I'm just synthetic" a line i use often.
You're about to blow up, these songs are so important for the world today!
i lost my dad to fentanyl laced painkillers. my dad was a hard working trucker, wasn't a junkie at all. instead was a great father for only 17 years of my life. but i'll forever remember him
Is easy for them to label people as junkies but there's lots of people out there that function normally and still work. Knowing what I know and the experiences I have had, I would say this... Lots of people who make bad choices but not one goes out to become an addict.
I hope your Dad is at peace now and keep the good times in your heart and mind.
This guy has a good voice. Really like your vocals.
I’m from Russia we even didn’t have that’s staff here, but have another chemical poison which killed poor people. Thanks for you song mate, we need more songs like this - not about stupid parties or rich dreams.
Krokodil?
@@beekydogg that staff in the past. Now we have a lot of analogy of meth and chemical opiates. They selling that staff on dark net.
"makes all that oxycotton look like a beer" man, that's a hell of a line
This was really good. It would be amazing if someone in power would actually listen to it and consider what the man is saying. This should be much more widely available.
"Give money to a hammer, they're gonna buy a nail."
Keep them coming man. Just found you last night and I'm a fan for sure.
I just lost a good friend to a fent overdose. Broke my heart. He was a good guy.
powerful song. I hate to add to the people comparing you to singers from the 70's, but this feels like a song Lou Reed would have written, and i mean that as the highest of compliments
In The Big Rock Fentanyl Mountains
There's a land devoid of light,
Where the blue pills grow on bushes
And you OD every night.
A part of this song is definitely inspired by the big rock candy mountains :)
Strumming, hybrid picking , fingerstyle, and now Travis picking. I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with the lyrics or guitar composition? Take that as a huge compliment because I do both and am very critical. YOU ARE ON A DIFFERENT LEVEL
My best friend died from fentanyl a few months ago. He was 17. rest in peace max blue roberts fentanyl is fucked up
I’m sorry about that, this world is messed up. I hope u can move on ok, good luck
lost mine a little over a year ago. it gets better but never easier
I just want you to know I've been practicing War Isnt Murder and its really helping me develop my fingerpicking skills. Thanks for being musically inspiring!!
I have no idea why, out of nowhere, your song War Isn't Murder was recommended to me, but I'm really, really glad it was and I'm really glad I got curious enough to check it out. Your songs are awesome, dude!
