An obvious reason that these are so popular, really good looking, well priced and a vintage dive aesthetic. What's not to love?
Smaller case diameter would be great❤
@@boyu213There is a smaller (36mm diameter) version of it. Check it out. The smaller one is such a wonderful vintage watch! Same case diameter like the original one from 1965. Just a perfect remake of it😍!!!
Best domed Sapphire in the business! Omega and Tudor can’t seem to execute their domed crystals without having a bit of that milky ring at the edge. Meanwhile Oris’ crystal is gloriously clear edge to edge, from all angles. Much more like a vintage acrylic crystal
Just got one yesterday at a local AD. It’s the bronze bezel version with two tone steel and bronze bracelet. $2,000 and I love it!
I think Oris does the lume like this on purpose to make the hands pop. Personally, I like it.
The bronze bezel version of this watch is 🔥. More elegant case that the BB58 - and a brand with more personality and history too.
The Diver 65 line is a home run. I know it's "only" tested to 10 bar, but with a screwdown caseback and 8 thread crown i promise it will take anything you throw at it. Also double dome sapphires are a much more durable cut than a flat sapphire 👍🏻 done be shy with it
This is one of my favorite Oris
Love the watch, the bracelet not so much.... interesting choice to age the bezel, it works well....I would always prefer non date whenever possible but the six is definitely the best place for it....for the price the lume should be better....really good of your pal to let you borrow the watch....I may have sounded a little negative in part above but nothing I've mentioned is a deal breaker, it's a fantastic design with near perfect dimensions....hits the ding dong button for sure....🏴⌚🏴⌚
I considered buying o e if these a couple of years ago and like the look of this . However when compared with the bb58 for me the oris falls short. Ever since I have been glad I spent a little more and choose the 58.
I'm waiting on a pro pilot 44mm to arrive, so always interested to watch Oris reviews, I'm hoping for a good every day watch. Really miss see Bond in the video's. THank you
Is it push pins/split pins OR pin and collar? I have heard different things in different YT vids. I have one on the way to review. 40mm with bronze bezel.
Nice review but I've personally never been a big fan of Oris. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice watch. But they've just never massively tickled my fancy
One if my first watch loves
The diver sixty-five with the brown fumé dial and the two-tone bezel and bracelet is the choice of Oris’s current line up IMHO, which has fewer models than before. I think the hands are therefore more legible too.
Just picked up this exact divers sixty five in good condition used for $1000! My 2nd divers sixty five. I regret selling my first one!
I picked mine second hand for £900 three years ago. Cannot fault it.
Fancy the Oris upcycle myself 👍🏽
The colour difference between the hands & markers absolutely killed this for me. Oris need to address it.
Watch is mine, much less obvious in person imo. Looks a lot worse in the video
@@Billeh556 may I know how did you ghost the bezel insert? Really looks good
Such a nice watch but idk if I can pull it off at that size I got a big wrist lol
so the date wheel is NOT matched ... lol
Great watch but just have to many. I sold the exact watch on rubber for $1300 Canadian to a CWC member
Nice review!
I like the watch. It just seems way over-priced. Sellita movement? You can get a steinhart with same movement for one fifth of the oris price. The oris does not not even have chronometer grade regulation. Tudor Ranger is a much better watch for similar price. Tudor value proposition is much greater than Oris. Sinn is another similar watch that offers much more for your money.
Great review. 👍
I have the a RedBar Red Dial. Great watch
Idk, I've always thought these looked kind of meh and derivative. Put a mercedes hand on it and what do you have? I'll concede I haven't seen it in the metal, so maybe that would change my mind, but I've never seen the big deal about these.
I would own one of these if it was a 2892/SW300. The new oris in house version is unfortunately a lot more money for a very impressive movement, but mediocre finishing at it's price point.
I still prefer this over new 65 with the bidirectional bezel, cal 400 and 2.5k price tag.
Cool piece always to be bought at discount
Great value for the price.
Prefer a without date ver.🎉
Pins and collar is not acceptable for this kind of Swiss brand and price tag
A watch that looks like a dive watch and is named "Diver's 65" which then has just 100m of water resist makes no sense and puts me off. Nice review.
Stop whining. It’s a skin diver….100m is good enough for 99.9% of people
@@Billeh556 🤣😂🤣😂 do you work for Oris or something??
I would think about the WR more as being similar to what it probably was in 1965.
@@chi1057 I think these days more people put an emphasis on specs rather than experience. The car industry is a great one as an example. You’re doing the same thing. Ask yourself, why is it so off putting that it only has 100m? You can go swimming and snorkeling with this thing no problem even a little dive.
You don’t have any practical complaint about the WR just some bs you’ve made up in your head. I see similar comments about acrylic/hesalite crystals on people who have never owned a watch with that type of crystal just because
@@Billeh556 to be honest I wouldn't buy a car that looks sporty if underneath it wasn't capable of being so, so using that car anology I feel the same.
It not BS to me , it's my opinion.
Christopher Ward is a better value
Kinda seems like what would happen if chris ward had to use a dealer.
I'm not an oris fan. Undersized indices, boring hand sets. Always the date which destroys the dial's semetery. Always a closed case back. Bland, boring, highly predictable. Not what I want out of a watch in this price range !
Funny it's exactly why I like them
How big do the indices need to be? Sheeezz, It’s a handsome watch!
100m only 🤨
Oris is overpriced, many microbrands ofer much more at 1/4 of the Oris price !
Agreed, I think this should have been priced more around $1,000 - $1,200.
Have you handled an Oris before? Their bracelets are INCREDIBLE
Why? What did you like? How does it compare to a longines or chris ward?@@mbrackmann8
My God such a fraud of a watch, 100m water resistance standard ETA/SW. If it were a seiko with that price and 100 m depth W resistance costing the same these "reviewers" would have been ripping seiko apart. Drink the coolaid
Yeah anyone buying one of these above $1000 is insane.
Direct vintage Rolex rip-off.
Rolex ripoff Blancpain fifty fathoms.
Tudor rip off Rolex 16610 sub.
This one isn't a Rolex ripoff... it's more akin to the original Blancpain Which Rolex, Tudor and Oris derived their design.
