- We are going to swap and test this Big Dog Porting Stage 2 ported explorer intake I have ran in the past and see how it stacks up against the Holley Systemax 2 intake we have been running on the same engine, same cam, etc.
our best ET with the Holley was 11.61 so that is our time to beat.
Also checked my catch an after the last time at the track and it did it's job! no oil in the throttle body!
Next Saturday test and tune is April 10th, there is Friday night test and tune on April 2nd if I can get off work at a decent hour I will try to hit that as well. - Авто/Мото
Never heard of a catch can reading MM&FF for 15 years in the 90's-00's. Wasn't till direct injection carbon intake issues that I heard about it. However, I'm sure they have been around for a long time.
@@24theMoney yeah, just didn't want to deal with oily breathers dripping on exhaust
Great update! interested to see how it compares to the Holley! I wish I was that close to a track - good luck when you go!!
Just our stage 2 gt40 not even the stage 3. I love it!
Was that Systemax 2 you had on before ported or was is out the box stock?
Also was total timing are you running and what rpm is the total timing all in?
Thanks for the vids 👍
YES! Waiting on this
Curious of the results I am trying a similar set up waiting on my promaxx heads
Awesome! 👍
Hows the car running
@@vrm86gt don't be afraid to let her eat! Our Stage 2s keeps pulling till your heads and cam gives up!
@@vrm86gt you said when you took off the stage 2 ported 170s to put on the Promaxx 180s it didn't pull as hard.
@@vrm86gt our stage 2 Explorer gt40 manifolds on a 302 will peak above 6000rpm as long as the heads, cam and exhaust system are up to the task. You will find the stage 2 Explorer will deliver 25-35wtrq and equal to more hp than the home ported Systemax 2. That should yield better 60' times, faster shift recovery and or traction issues lol. It should pull very hard up top.
What's your AFR?
@@vrm86gt that's good. The stage 2 will thrive!!
