We put a gt-40 tubular intake on 408 and it made 355 rwhp on chassis dyno. Went to a Victor EFI(plenum style) and gained 50rwhp. Power Levels out at 5500rpm. Great video.

I suggest people look at the Jan 2001 MM&FF Super Intake Shootout article, where they utilized a CHP 347 with AFR heads, XE292R cam. The GT40 tubular made 450 HP @ 6600 and 447 FT/LB TQ @ 4700. Holley Systemax and Victor 5.0 made more peak HP but lost torque compared to the GT40.

That's why the forged pistons 5.0 HO mustangs are getting increasingly more difficult to find let alone at a price that you can afford! I had a 89 hatchback gt with a 5 spd(means everything In these cars) Maroon with Gray lower & effects! I loved & miss that car terribly. I used to get my paycheck and immediately put it into the mustang. Flowmaster on a 5.0 no sound can match it

For pure aesthetic purposes, is it possible to change to a forward facing throttle body? Like the Holley SBF hi-ram intake? Running the same engine in an Aussie AU falcon.

How do you navigate tuning around a 90mm throttle body and throttle tip in and driveability?

can you run the holley hi-ram intake manafold with a vortech v3 supercharger on the stock block if it has built ons?

How well does the trick flow ( Box R ), with 90mm throttle body work, on a 347 for average power, and tq., in the 4000 rpm to 7,000 rpm range, vs the holley hi ram?

I know a few ppl that have over 400 fwhp on 302 using gt40 manifolds. One with Gt40 p heads. Also saw a guy on youtube have a ported gt40 and put a SystemMax 2 on it and lost power with no other changes.

Great video. I currently have 93 Mustang gt 5.0, gt40 heads, e303, BBK shorty headers, 70mm throttle body, cobra intake. I was replacing temperature sending unit on front of intake and cracked the lower part intake. I need some advice on what to do? Find another lower to match cobra upper are changed entire intake all together to something else. Please help. Thanks Darryl

5.0 HO 302 from 87-95(96 in Cobra only) with Flowmaster Cat Back Exhaust and God forbid U have Headers on it!! No Sound Can Match It! Even with factory catalytic converter, long as the rest is Flowmaster! Borla is close, pitch is a little high

Our stage 2 and stage 3 ported gt40 manifolds will out flow and out perform most aftermarket manifolds. We have customers that have back to back dyno comparisons. We have customers that have made over 430whp with our stage 3 ported gt40 manifold. We will be proving it.

Holley high ram isn’t a popular intake for sbf setups and nobody with intelligence wants a 90+mm throttle body on a na 347 . You guys build engines?
