How did you go . I just bought 1 and im doing settings etc, im confused on what shpuld have it on, all metal or ferrous etc? I press the noise cancelling and then again in 10 seconds and gives completly different reading?
Only 46k views I don't know how that can be accurate because I've watched it 47,000 times trying to get used to this detector. Excellent video Jason thank you very much. I'll get the hang of it I hope!
Love my legend!!! Have watched this video many times. Thinking my Legend has around 15 days on the hour meter and I learn more about it every day. There are several settings that are certainly important to understand. Volume. Ground balance. Headphones. But for anyone thinking of buying one let me assure you that the out of the box factory settings are amazing. You can open the box, snap it together and go have a fun day of detecting. It's crazy smart right out of the box. Don't think you have to be an expert to use it. Use it first, then learn it over time. Sorry I ramble sometimes. I love this hobby and am convinced that for the money the Legend is easily the best machine available. Thanks again for a great how to video!!!!
I’m on vacation, and my Garrett AT Max was giving me fits on the beach, so I got online looking for a machine with a beach mode, and found a good deal on a Legend, so I bought it. Now it’s 800 miles away at home waiting on me. Your video will help me out tremendously to be able to pick up this machine when I get home and at least know the settings so I can start detecting and learning the machine. Very helpful.

I currently use a Simplex as my main detector. I was really satisfied with it and didn’t think I’d want the Legend. Now I’m absolutely SURE I not only want it but need it! Haha thanks for showing how awesome this detector is!

I am brand new to metal detecting, and just bought The Legend. I had never had or used a metal detector in my entire life. Honestly, after looking at other videos, I felt somewhat overwhelmed and felt I would never get to learn and utilize this machine . I agree. I am waiting for delivery of this machine and after watching other videos I was like oh man,I'm never gonna figure this out. Sold my Garrett ATPRO because it was to finicky to set up and understand and I just wanted simpler. After watching this I don't feel so overwhelmed and like I may have made a mistake. I have a Whites DFX and it has served me well all these years. I have been a Whites man since the late '70s and have used several CoinMasters, the DFX was my last Whites. And now that they've closed shop and my DFX is long in the tooth. I've been looking for another machine. I've watched many other reviews on the Legend. Your review is by far the one that has touched all the bases and demystified it for me. I've put my order in for one and can't wait to go out and pound the ground where my DFX has worked great before and for years. Thank you.
I want to thank you for all your help in this video. I just got my Legend today (after following your advice) and ran outside with it straight out of the box, found two 1940's nickels within 30 minutes. This video was a large help for me understanding how to use the Legend. Love your videos as they bring a smile to my face each time I watch one. Again thank you for taking time making all this.

Outstanding. I have been detecting for 27 years using countless!!! detectors and I love the Legend. I have been internetting since dial up - and, crikey - your explanations video is literally the best I have ever watched - truly outstanding; clear, correct speed with the information, sequential, calm and friendly. Thank you - only neg I can think of is that you didn't mention how to get out of user profiles and back to the machine as is.

Best Legend video for newbies. I read the manual and have been swinging mine in the yard for a couple hours. One thing, if you discriminate out ferrous the ferrous check isn't operable. I recommend using the detect all (A) and use the ferrous check bars at the bottom.

+1 here for being a hands on visual learner vs words on a page. Very concise and informative video. Nokta Makro should use this as their official tutorial. Surprised as well they didn't include the Mute button since they took feedback from actual test users before market release.
I've been a Nox guy for as long as it was introduced. I won the Legend at the DTH raffle just before your appearance at Casey and Mindy's Spring hunt!! I took it out a week after I got it and found 4 rings and lots of clad, but 1 was a 14K ring!! Then I took it to an old beach in Seattle where our whole club has pounded and found 5 wheats, 64 Rosie, 1926d SLQ!! I think this Legend is better than Nox 800. I haven't even used the Manticore!! Thanks for your video, which I use to learn the settings. I now know how to noise cancel......
Your video helped me a great deal must of gone over it at least 10 plus times .But you speak clearly and precise. I'm a visual type guy and you helped a great deal thanks again.
Just bought one from another youtuber, looking forward to trying it out, when all this damm snow melts, Just a little side note for the newbies out there, this was very true in the days of older detectors, and I'm sure it's just as true today, the closer you can get to the threshold to just barely make a sound for any given location the deeper the detector can reach.
Great video, I had the nox 800 and sold it to upgrade to the nox 900 which I returned to Kellyco because it operated erratically no matter what I did. I had to run the sensitivity all the way down to ten. The machine and coils were tested and minelab said they were alright. Anyway I bought the legend and love it. Ty for the great tutorial I’m subscribing.

Fantastic tutorial video. I am a big fan of your channel and only recently acquired a Legend. My other detectors have been Minelab's and Garrett's. I read the user manual for the Legend and still was struggling wrapping my head around the many settings. Your video makes everything very clear. Thank you.

The higher VDI range is why I will probably end up with one of these. On the Equinox, a 23 (for example) could be anything from copper to silver or many things in between. It's the main reason why I didn't get one.
I am starting to Love the Legend. I don't know if it'll replace my Equinox 800...but it's a great machine. It has a lot of great features and the build quality is great!

Recently got a Legend-first try out in backyard and found a small brass finial and a spent .38 special cartridge. Also have an ORX, and I can already see that the Legend is easier to adjust for EMI in urban hunting. Your video (all of them) are really entertaining and equally informative. You’re gonna love the control you have over the settings and how much more quiet it will run. I’m hoping Nokta Makro adds the mute button to the Legend in an update too as that’s one of my favorite features on the Simplex. It’s a huge battery saver if you pop the machine into mute before you dig each hole.

Why does Legend at 4 kHz see iron worse than at 10 kHz and 15 kHz???

The higher VDI range is why I will probably end up with one of these. On the Equinox, a 23 (for example) could be anything from copper to silver or many things in between. It's the main reason why I didn't get one.

I am starting to Love the Legend. I don't know if it'll replace my Equinox 800...but it's a great machine. It has a lot of great features and the build quality is great!
Hi Lee, if my NOX 800 failed I would consider the Legend for sure. It's always fun to see what the new technology will do.

Seems like all the RUclipss I have watched always comes back to the Notka brand and then everyone always says if you can afford it....GO WITH THE LEGEND! Recently got a Legend-first try out in backyard and found a small brass finial and a spent .38 special cartridge. Also have an ORX, and I can already see that the Legend is easier to adjust for EMI in urban hunting. Your video (all of them) are really entertaining and equally informative. You’re gonna love the control you have over the settings and how much more quiet it will run. I’m hoping Nokta Makro adds the mute button to the Legend in an update too as that’s one of my favorite features on the Simplex. It’s a huge battery saver if you pop the machine into mute before you dig each hole.
