When this movie came out i was in Trinidad recovering from surgery. Trying to hold my laughs back but i tore open a stitch and was right back in the hospital before i got to finish it. FOND MEMORIES they were. .. AND THAT WAS MY FAVOURITE PART.
I’m not sure where to place movie recommendations. I really think you guys would like the movie called “The One I Love.” It’s described as a comedy, I would say it’s quirky, but leaves you amused and reflective!
I always wanted to suggest this movie to you guys, but I thought it was so out of your usual movies that it would get passed on. I'm so glad it's finally happening 😁
@@BaddMedicine gentlemen, i just discovered a korean movie titled The Outlaws.. the main cast is Ma Dong Seok, he is the husband from Train to Busan. it was soooo good and i want to recommend them to you.. also, i found out there are 2 more movies, continuation to it. and The Outlaws 4 gonna come out this year, please watch and react to it if you got time.. Much love 💕
Fun fact! The dude who plays the booth manager on campus (Jesse and Becca's boss) is in Harry Potter and plays McClaggen, the kid that likes Hermione in Half Blood Prince!
So fun story I have about this movie: It's inspired by a non-fiction book that came out in 2008 that followed acapella groups in their day to day and cataloged the drama, relationships, competitions, etc that came of it (the movie is exaggerated versions of all of these real events). The main plot of the book is centered around a controversy in the ICCA Championship in 2005, where Oregon University group Divisi had an all female group sing R&B song "Yeah" by Usher. Much like is portrayed in the film, this was a complete tradition break and the audience loved it. They were scored the highest by every judge but one, who unfortunately gave them 0s, they allegedly just didn't like that the all female group was straying from the norm and singing R&B. So they came in 2nd. While a cool story on its own, I have a personal connection to it as my aunt was the lead vocalist of that group, during that performance. So in a very loose way Beca's character is based off of my aunt 😂
Brittany Snow as Chloe is the heart and soul of this series. She does something deceptively difficult in that she's a very broad, silly character that she still manages to play with absolute sincerity.
I saw this twice in theatres when I was 13. The second time I was with my older sister and it was one of the last showings of its run, so we were the only 2 in the theatre. We sang along the entire time and it was so fun!
One of my favorite movies soundtracks! Also, at the Riff Off when the Bellas sang ‘No Diggity’ Aubrey wasn’t singing because she didn’t like Beca, it was because she didn’t know the song.
i was too young for the first one, but i saw the last one in theatre,, it was amazing, the chills i got at every song on the big screen and getting to see the last scene in a room filled with fans, just amazing
Ngl my DAD got me into these movies lmao 😂 they are definitely a guilty pleasure and yes I do have the riff off saved onto a RUclips playlist, as I much watch it at least once a month for a cleanse lol 😂 thanks for watching this and hope y’all enjoy the other two ❤
One of my favourite movies! Not even 20 mins into this reaction and this is my favourite time watching it by far. Your reactions make this a million times better! 😂
'Pitch Perfect' is one of my favorite re-watches! It's such a fun and funny movie, that holds up surprisingly well 10 years later. The music is fun, the dialogue is snappy as hell, the performances are fantastic all-around, and even the acid humor still lands 95% of the time for me. Everyone in the cast is batting a thousand. I think an entire generation still has a crush on Anna Kendrick, because of this movie. This was Rebel Wilson's breakout role. Adam Devine is hilarious as Bumper. Bittany Snow and Anna Camp are so much fun to watch play off of each other. Even Skylar Astin is competently adorable as a very generic love interest. And John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks as the commentators knock it out of the park every time they show up. As far as their humor goes, it was still pretty out there back in 2012, but that was exactly the point. And I think it works really well, because of how unexpected it is, and that they only show up in small doses. It's not a perfect movie, but it's definitely one of the ones I've seen the most, since it came out. I probably watch it once a year. Looking forward to seeing your reactions to the sequels!
My dad is a 50 year old ex marine, super tough mans man kinda guy. I remember going with him to see this in theaters like 3 times because he liked it so much!
Ugh I love you all so much! You guys are not just your basic reactors, I find myself laughing/smiling when you guys laugh! I love seeing connections you all make in your videos & hearing your commentary afterwards. Getting to know you all through these reactions & your reviews of movies is really unlike any other channel. I really care for all of you & wish you nothing but the best. I will say I have yet to full on cry with you all, but suspect that may change when you all watch the impossible. ❤️❤️ love you guys!
I saw it in theaters and I was absolutely jamming in my seat! To be in that audience during the first throw up scene was insane, we all reacted to it together lmao, you could hear the gasps and the icks lol. I hope you guys check out all the Pitch Perfect movies, they're all a fun time!
I didn’t know if y’all would like this one cause it was so campy but I honestly love this movie so much. I’m glad y’all had fun watching. And I loved how much The Oak was dancing and singing lol
Fun fact - Ester Dean who plays Cynthia is the writer and producer of some of the world's biggest chart hits including Nikki Minaj - Super Bass (and a big chunk of the Pink Print album), Rhinna's S&M (which is in the film and along with most of Rhi back-catalogue), and most of the Pussycat Dolls big hits. She's a music genius.
Love this movie!! The other ones are ok, but this first one is just perfect!! lol. Thanks oak for coming thru w knowing lots of the songs. I had a feeling u would know most if not all of them based on ur reactions u always seem to know the songs.
heyy now im addicted to your videos haha i highly recommend you to watch The thin red line, one of the best war movies imo. The cast is top tier, Jim Caviezel, Nick Nolte, Sean Penn, Adrien Brody, Woody Harrelson and a lot more believe me haha plus the music by Hans Zimmer
I'm still so obsessed with this movie! Loved watching this reaction and how the oak was sharing song titles/artists like a human shazam with Mason Quinn knowing songs from movies hhaha
I wholeheartedly agree with Answer's 5/5!! This is my favourite move of all time, I don't care if the jokes were out of pocket it was hilarious and sooo rewatchable for me - can't wait to see you guys watch the other two :)
This was so fun!! I've always loved this movie ever since it came out, glad you enjoyed it^^ (Also I would honestly love your reaction to the perks of being a wallflower, even though it is a bit different than your usual stuff)
The lady announcer (Gail) was, also, the same actress as in The Hunger Games, playing Effie, the lady with wild hair and costumes, that helped Haymitch prepare Katniss and Peta for the "games." They will be back! **Quick story: Around the time "Pitch Perfect" first came out on DVD, my family happened to be driving to Florida for vacation. We had borrowed my sister's van and she had one of those DVD players for the kids in the back. My grand daughters wanted to watch a movie and their cousin had "Pitch Perfect" in the machine. None of us had seen it. But, it's music...what could go wrong??? Well, my oldest grand daughter has a weak stomach.😜 So, pretty soon into the movie we were quickly finding a place to pull over, as the gagging sounds started coming from the back!!! 🙄😳 She loves the trilogy now, but when younger, she couldn't take it! 🤣🤣 No more "Pitch Perfect" in the car! As much as y'all enjoyed this one, I'm sure you will be happy with the next two. Great reactions, as always! ***(Since I see you can do musicals...I am still pulling for "The Greatest Showman!" Hugh Jackman...😜)
Normally I get a kick out of The Oak shaking Mason some time, or several times, during the movie. This time I laughed every time Oak and Answer covered their face after inappropriate humor. This was fun to watch with you guys.
PP1 always works for me, and especially JohnMichael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks are hilarious (John Michael Higgins basically steals the show whenever he's on screen, and has done so ever since I first since him as Callista Flockhart's psychiatrist in Ally McBeal - I actually "aquired" the tick he did in that role and sometimes involuntary do it myself XD ) also, I don't know more than half of these songs, beyond a vague recognition in passing, even after having watched this movie half a dozen times, and they still hit for me - in scene, even if my usual taste in music is very much NOT most of this.
please react to the rest of the movies!! imo the second one isn’t that good, but the third one is a lot of fun! so glad you guys enjoyed the first one, it’s one of my all time fav movies (oak singing along made my day😂)
This is so random, I love it 😂 one of my favorite movies. For the second one I even received a freaking DM on twitter from the studio saying that it was almost time for it ! Lmao
After Oak been so protective of Hermione how did he not recognize McClaggen from The Half Blood Prince when the guy running the College Radio showed up. 😅
the pitch perfect movies are some of my all time favorites hope to see you react to the 2nd and 3rd soon as well (i was not even 10 when this came out but watched the other 2 movies at the cinema and had the best time) im not a huge fan of the second but love the 3rd again (1st and 3rd i've seen both so many times that i cant even count it anymore, those 2 and the harry potter movies are definitely my most watched movies ever and i'll never get tired of them haha) fun fact: the actors of becca and chloe wanted them to get together but sadly we got beca and jesse instead (which im also fine with haha)
Oak asked why Jesse was so competitive with his and Beca's boss at the radio station. The original script had a subplot of a love triangle between the three of them. I believe they actually shot scenes with the boss that dealt with his relationship with Beca but that was all edited out. They felt it was not an essential subplot for the movie. So it makes Jesse's hostility towards him feel out of left field at times, like where he says, "You don't know BECKY like I do."
😭 never thought my favorite reactors would be a group of grown men but man do I enjoy spending time with you all watching these classic movies from my youth (now 27) and have been really loving Oak’s Hogwarts Legacy playthrough! It’s made me start another playthrough alongside him! 🫶🏼
My two best friends showed me this movie just after it came out. I had told them that I probably wouldn't like it but they insisted I watch it. So I watched it with them... And they were right. You should watch Pitch Perfect 2!
Hey! Your reactions to movies and series are so cool! Have you considered also watching something from Studio Ghibli? Like Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Castle.
I've seen this so many times but all of your laughs are so contagious I was laughing like it was the first time again. Oak's constant disappointment in Mason was hilarious. I'm so grateful with how open minded all of you are, which makes you one of the best reaction channels on YT, imo.
This was shot at my college (LSU) while I was there. One of the Bellas was not actually an actress meant to be in the film ("Ashley"). She was a LSU student who only auditioned to be an extra. But she was so good they made her a Bella! So I saw it in the theater but also happened that the girl was there that night too ... just at the local AMC. And so she went up and everyone was clapping and cheering for her.
omg I knew it was filmed here in Louisiana but I didn’t know it was filmed at LSU! i’m from NOLA but when this movie came out I was going to boarding school in Lafayette. on the weekends we could pick an activity to do, and so we would load up 2 school buses and all go see Pitch Perfect every single weekend that it was in theaters. We would all get up and dance durning the movie, and for the rest of the school year we all did the “Cups song” during dinner time LMAO those are some of my absolute favorite memories I have from school!
Really??? That's just a testament to her talents then. I wonder if she didn't audition or producers didnt keep her, were they planning to keep both of the treble-boned bellas instead. Cause I read somewhere that when Kelley Jakle (Jessica) auditioned the producers decided right there and then that they want her on the film as she, out of all the cast members, is an acapella collegiate champion herself.
I saw this in the theater and I was the only one there 😮 that movie didn't start selling good until it had been out for a few weeks already. I didn't even go to see this movie, i just wanted to go to the movies and picked one at random
@@treeofrage7622 I can't remember when we went but it was crowded. The only movie I remember exactly when I saw it was the first Scream movie. My best friend was pregnant and a week past her due date. She was going stir crazy at home so I basically snuck her out (She lived at home). We got pizza and went to see the new Drew Barrymore movie with movie. It had only been out 2 or 3 days so we knew nothing about it. Well, we were in for a surprise. But it worked. I got a call at 3:30am from my friend telling me she was going to the hospital. I got there an hour later and she already had her baby! 🤦 To this day, she tells people I induced her labor with pepperoni pizza and Scream😂(Sorry this was so long).
I could not click on this reaction fast enough! This is easily one of my top 3 reaction channels mainly because you guys are not scared to watch a variety of movies, even the unexpected. I had so much fun watching this reaction for 3 reasons: 1) the laughter this movie brought to all 3 of you. 2) The Oak singing along and referencing songs as nostalgic to his life events and 3) The look of dismay from Oak to Mason when Mason did not know a song or when he’d reference it as from The Hangover or The Office. Oak is reliving his Junior Prom and Mason is like, oh yeah, The Hangover. I laughed so hard, I was snorting! Oak singing during the riff off and especially No Diggity was reaction Gold! Love you guys!
Yes!!!!!!! This franchise is awesome!!! Just remember don’t take it too seriously, and realize that it really just tries to poke fun at itself 😂 This one is my favorite, but the other 2 are still worth a watch for sure 👍
The more I watch you guys, the more The Oak seems to me like a big gentle bear, ready to throw his assumptions away and be amazed by movies he would have never considered in the first place. Thanks for doing what you do guys, keep it coming.
i love his reactions so much. watching him visibly grow to love a film or a series is so touching. and i love how protective he is towards kids in the films. it's just really touching watching him react to things a little outside what may be his usual norm, and come into it with such an open mind and heart.
The first PITCH PERFECT has one of the most predictable cliché plots in cinema history, one we've seen a gazillion times, and yet they do it so well. The charactes are fresh, especially the two commentators are just absolutely hilarious, the humor is surprisingly crude and sexual ... I just wish there was more music in these movies. I hope you're gonna watch the other two, and yes, I would also be down for SISTER ACT. It's a classic for a reason.
Please, more MUSICAL content on this channel!!! I know you have Hamilton on the way, and I'm sure you guys will do "A Very Potter Sequel," but seeing you guys react to more musicals on this channel would be SO AMAZING!!
You guys missed the fact that Jesse said the manager didn't know "Becky" like he did because the dude was still calling her Becky instead of Becca. He didn't care to get to know her enough to even know her name.
Fun Fact!! Cynthia Rose who sings S&M by Rihanna during the riff off is played by Ester Dean, who has written songs for many artists including: Rihanna, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, and Usher!!
😂😂😂 generation gap: "what does she need the cup for?" 😂😂😂 the whole world knows the cup song. I loved watching you guys this one. Can't wait for pitch perfect 2 and 3
This was a lot of fun and the comedy was great! Everyone crushed it. What was your reaction? Did we miss anything?

I understand why they edited out the love triangle because the movie is already jam-packed as it is. It’s just that his character feels superfluous :(
he's also Vigilante in Peacemaker :'D
THATS where i know him from?? amazing how i feel grossed out every time McClaggen is on screen but i would have loved more of Luke

The 3rd one is insane in a good way
😭 never thought my favorite reactors would be a group of grown men but man do I enjoy spending time with you all watching these classic movies from my youth (now 27) and have been really loving Oak’s Hogwarts Legacy playthrough! It’s made me start another playthrough alongside him! 🫶🏼
Did yall not catch that Elizabeth Banks is the other commentator. Effie from the Hunger Games
I downloaded the riff off to my ipod when this movie came out 😂 so good
Great reaction! This movie is hilarious! So many jokes that wouldn't be allowed nowadays! But it works. I love it! 🙌
Do you recognise the guy at 7:24? It's Vigilante from Peacemaker. And you saw him in Harry Potter. Freddie Stroma, the actor, is British
Fun fact: the male presentator John voices Varrick from Korra!
My two best friends showed me this movie just after it came out. I had told them that I probably wouldn't like it but they insisted I watch it. So I watched it with them... And they were right. You should watch Pitch Perfect 2!
If musicals are on the table… pls watch The Greatest Showman!!!!
I stand with the oak "the sign" is amazing 😊
Hey! Your reactions to movies and series are so cool! Have you considered also watching something from Studio Ghibli? Like Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Castle.
Is it just me or is Mason Quin looking good today?
Hell yeah Oak having a blast 🤣🤣
OH MY GODD YESSSS i cant wait to get home from work to watch this 😫😫
Excuse you! Lol....Ace of Base goes hard! A National and Global 90's Club Scene Treasure! Lol
yeah oak!!! you jam along big guy
I've seen this so many times but all of your laughs are so contagious I was laughing like it was the first time again. Oak's constant disappointment in Mason was hilarious. I'm so grateful with how open minded all of you are, which makes you one of the best reaction channels on YT, imo.
Oak’s dismay with Mason had me snort laughing!
Same here 😂
Watching Oak sing a long as much as my wife had me crying. I loved this reaction 😂😂😂
Edit: HOLY!!??? 1K LIKES?!!!??
Loved it 💜😅

@@PacificEgg I wasn't even meaning to. I thought you were talking about their reaction 😂, totally went over my head 🤦♀️😂
And so she went up and everyone was clapping and cheering for her.
geaux tigers
omg I knew it was filmed here in Louisiana but I didn’t know it was filmed at LSU! i’m from NOLA but when this movie came out I was going to boarding school in Lafayette. on the weekends we could pick an activity to do, and so we would load up 2 school buses and all go see Pitch Perfect every single weekend that it was in theaters.
Really??
This school svcks now
Now everyone doing drugs n shi
SHUT UP I never knew this!😭 I’m so used to Louisiana having nothing going on and famous people never visiting, so this was so shocking to figure out
That " shawty get down Good lord " by oak just made my day 😂
I saw this in the theater and the crowd was awesome. Everyone was singing and at the end, everyone raised their fist. It was definitely awesome.
I saw this in the theater and I was the only one there 😮 that movie didn't start selling good until it had been out for a few weeks already. I didn't even go to see this movie, i just wanted to go to the movies and picked one at random
Oh wow, I wish I could've been there...

@@treeofrage7622I discovered it 3 months after it was out of the theaters and felt really bad for not knowing it before 😢
I could not click on this reaction fast enough!
“If at first you don’t succeed, pack your bags”
Kills me every time 😂
Benji (the nerdy guy who replaced Bumper in the Treblemakers) is actually a pretty famous Broadway actor named Ben Platt. He’s even won a Tony award!
Yes!!!!!!! This franchise is awesome!!! Just remember don’t take it too seriously, and realize that it really just tries to poke fun at itself 😂
This one is my favorite, but the other 2 are still worth a watch for sure 👍
Exactly! All with kickass singing lol
The more I watch you guys, the more The Oak seems to me like a big gentle bear, ready to throw his assumptions away and be amazed by movies he would have never considered in the first place.
Thanks for doing what you do guys, keep it coming.
THIS!
The only exception being Barbie
i love his reactions so much. watching him visibly grow to love a film or a series is so touching. and i love how protective he is towards kids in the films. it's just really touching watching him react to things a little outside what may be his usual norm, and come into it with such an open mind and heart.
Agreed! Would absolutely love to see more musicals from them.
Hamilton would be sooo good!! Also, greatest showman
I'd love for them to watch the anniversary show of Phantom Of The Opera from Royal Albert Hall :)
Musicals are hard because of copyright claims.
FML, they’re doing Hamilton? Might actually have to pay to watch the full thing for once. Lol
You guys missed the fact that Jesse said the manager didn't know "Becky" like he did because the dude was still calling her Becky instead of Becca. He didn't care to get to know her enough to even know her name.
Answer watching this before doesn't surprise me at all 😂
Fun Fact!! Cynthia Rose who sings S&M by Rihanna during the riff off is played by Ester Dean, who has written songs for many artists including: Rihanna, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, and Usher!!
She wrote that actual song.
😂😂😂 generation gap: "what does she need the cup for?" 😂😂😂 the whole world knows the cup song. I loved watching you guys this one. Can't wait for pitch perfect 2 and 3
the reporter, the one with the blonde hair is Elizabeth Banks, she also plays Effie Trinket in the Hunger Games!
I love all three films. They never fail to cheer me up and I LOVE watching people discover them ❤
SAME
I've had the Riff Off scene stuck in my head since the movie came out 😅
