Finally some realness here! As a Christian, I don't think we need to be dating for like 4 years plus it's like a playground for Satan lol
I have a 5 month engagement. some of my family complained that it's too short compared to the norm. Huh, yeah cuz the norm out there is that you have sex before marriage. Please don't compare our relationship to the world🤦 The world is NOT an example.
I be seeing people being engaged almost 2 years and already living together for 2 years I feel like if you already live together what’s the hold up? I think it depends on age and where people are at
This video just confirms to me that I really do want to have a short engagement! So many of my friends think I'm crazy because I believe that I could get engaged within six months and married in another six, so long as I know that this is God's best person for me - but I don't see why not! Thank you for increasing my faith today. Although I'm super single right now I'm going to keep trusting God will bring the right man at the right time.

Agreed. As a Christian, I definitely don’t want a long engagement. Everyone’s situation is different. Because of planning, long distance, and things, I know a couple that had to wait a year. Longer than a year? Absolutely not! I can’t even wait a year.

Marriage is okay, yet, it requires work. If you are unhappy single, you"ll be unhappy married. No rush. Single, engaged, or married seek GOD's will. Sex is not a reason to rush an engagement or marriage. If no discipline to wait while unmarried, there's no discipline to stay faithful when married.

That’s missing the point. We did not say that we don’t believe in the power of God. The point is that long engagements are usually an indication of a hold up that indicates an underlying reservation. and many people start having sex during that time. As pastors, we see this happen firsthand.
This is good but I think it’s bit insensitive to say that someone would resent their kids.
L M I def apologize if so. This is a reality for some people, which is why I followed up with ways to love your child and view them as a blessing. Children are such a blessing 💕
Truth is there are people who actually resent their kids bcos of some of these things.

We cannot look at this the same way as the world does. Actually there is no difference between people dating for 3 years and those engaged for 2 years. Why are we making an exception for those in a relationship than? Guys. No.
