The giant vault door in portal 2 Is an amazing door at subverting your expectations. And, there is many of the other regular doors in the game show off a sterile laboratory feeling

"Or it can subvert your expectations of what's truly hidden behind" The first transition seal door in Portal 2 is probably the first thing that comes to the mind of anyone whose played Portal 2.
I have to say the binding of isaac: repentance doesnt really have a lot to their doors, but there are a TON of them in the game and each of them represents what type of room you are going to, golden doors with crowns are treasure rooms, doors with a coin on them are shops, doors with a skull and a semi arch are boss rooms and there are many more door designs, my favourite is the blue womb door to hush, but yeah the doors in this are kinda simplistic so i would put it in the pretty cool doors👍 category
A game with cool doors that I remember was Super Paper Mario. Not only are there a lot of small normal-looking doors throughout the worlds on people's houses and stuff, but also there are these "dimensional doors" that exist in each level, as well as being your entrance into each world from the hub world. The Dimensional Doors all share the exact same lineart, but they vary in color, and sometimes they have cool patterns on them too.
One very interesting door you missed was the jail cell door in there’s no time to explain. It’s just super over the top and deserves the crown for coolest door.
doors are honestly one of the greatest things that have ever been created into this world. - they can protect your stuff well with the lock dlc - they look cool - they give you privacy - they let you know that a place is a room - its just good in general Doors are amazing.
Better version: Doors are the best things the devs have ever added to the game. -They protect things well with the lock enchantment -They temporarily increase your privacy stat -They look cool, and might even increase your house's level.

Idk if someone already saud this, but the magic door in Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is very nice. It doesn't only act as a door but as a weapon. The door randomly materializes above opponents, then a bro jumps out and you have to press the corresponding button when they land. The bro then exits through another magic door and the cycle repeats until you miss a jump. I think it could go on forever actually. There's also some other doors in the game too.

The entire Metroid series, doors are such a huge component, especially in the prime games. A Metroid game without doors would be weird (Metroid 2 doesn’t count since Samus Returns retconned it)
@@PolygonDonut Hello it's me, Peter Griffin, here to explain the joke: Villagers from the game Minecraft are programed to stay within the boundary of the village they are currently in. To consider a village a village: they need 3 doors of any kind per village. To make villagers able to enter their homes: they are one of the few mobs in the game able to open and close doors. A common issue with villagers is that they often walk towards doors and repeatedly open and close them without purpose (this was greater amplified when you put them into "door mazes", where villagers often stayed in for a very long time doing nothing but opening and closing doors), this has caused a running joke within the Minecraft community that villagers from Minecraft are obsessed with doors due to the fact that they quite often liked repeatedly opening and closing doors without purpose. The comment made by RUclips user Fighting Flower makes a subtle reference to this, by stating that "This is the content Minecraft villagers would make if they had RUclips channels.". The content in this context is the video this comment is commented on "Tierlisting Games Based On Their Doors" by RUclips Creator Polygon Donut, where RUclips Creator Polygon Donut makes several references to how doors makes parts of their brain very excited, which is similar to the running joke within the Minecraft community that villagers from Minecraft are obsessed with doors (greater amplified by the imagery of Minecraft doors opening and closing in the sections of the video where RUclips Creator Polygon Donut references how doors make parts of their brain very excited). The addition of "would make if they had RUclips channels." in RUclips user Fighting Flower's comment is not only a reference to how the video this comment is commented on: "Tierlisting Games Based On Their Doors" by RUclips Creator Polygon Donut is on RUclips, but also the fact that RUclips in this context is often used as a vessel for entertainment, and how in the context of the Minecraft community, the running joke that villagers from Minecraft are obsessed with doors would mean that villagers from Minecraft would find making videos around doors not only a valid form of entertainment, but a very enjoyable form of entertainment due to the running joke from the Minecraft community that villagers from Minecraft are obsessed with doors. This makes the comment commented by RUclips user Fighting Flower very funny to people from the Minecraft community, since they know about the running joke that villagers from Minecraft are obsessed with doors and would connect it with the context that RUclips Creator Polygon Donut's video "Tierlisting Games Based On Their Doors" is all about doors, and would further make the connection to the mannerisms and excitement RUclips Creator Polygon Donut displays in the video "Tierlisting Games Based On Their Doors" by RUclips Creator Polygon Donut, which in turn makes the comment commented by RUclips user Fighting Flower even more funny to the members of the Minecraft community reading it. Hopefully i, Peter Griffin, have explained the joke thoroughly enough for anybody confused with the joke to better understand the joke and in turn, understand the humor within the joke enough to display a form of laughter, be it a burst (of laughter), a mild chuckle or air coming out of their nose.
Terraria should go in "Pretty Cool Doors👍" due to it's large variety of interesting and intriguing doors, even one which requires you to defeat a giant plant named Plantera to get a key for the temple door so you can fight Golem, guardian of temple and creation of the Lihzahrds (or you could just use a hoik to get in, but that's lame as hell)
I think the bio shock series has some really nice doors. They slide up in the first and second one and they have different designs based on the level, but they’re very cool mechanically and also look nice.

An amazing video about a topic I didn't know I would like so much. I think portal 2 has interesting doors. I especially like the giant vault that leads to a small tiny door
The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword has some pretty cool doors in it. I like the doors at the end of the temples.
9:18 Nekular Arc Fallout
The doors in the original Bioshock are pretty awesome, they're this Art Deco pressurized vault doors
EDIT: How TF did I forget about the Sea Of Doors from Bioshock Infinite?
10:07 Polygon Donut. Thank you. Without this AMAZING tier list, and sub-list, I would have NEVER found ENA. I shall record your name of The Plaque of Eternity (not to be confused with the Mask of Eternity) for your most generous contribution to my life. Your name shall rest along side such noble names as The Sauce Hero (thank you for the sauce, you (you means many people, as "The Sauce Hero" is a title bestowed upon the great heroes who deliver sauce when the Original Poster decided to not post it) never disappoint), and the names of other esteemed figures that will be engraved upon its surface upon my meeting them.
Vegeta from, Dragon Ball Z Abridged Movie: Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan, "Never in my life have I needed something so much and never known until I received it.'
Your video has as well made it onto my favorite playlist. Congratulations.

WAS THAT THE-
DOOR OF 87??????
the entire skylanders franchise has some very unique doors that can only be opened by a special character which makes the doors have cool designs
The entire Metroid series, doors are such a huge component, especially in the prime games. A Metroid game without doors would be weird (Metroid 2 doesn’t count since Samus Returns retconned it)
Metroid II does have doors anyway, there'd a missile door at every item room

The Stanley parable is all about going through doors, and what doors you go through in what order affect the ending in massive ways, and its amazing
that a good one. that makes me think of control too.
Paper Mario the thousand year door has the best door
Subnautica doesn’t have many doors but some of them can be really cool like the ones made by the precursors or the bulkhead door
This is the content Minecraft villagers would make if they had RUclips channels.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN LMAO
Terraria, at least 50+ doors from what i can remember all with different patterns
3:48 be like ooga fucking booga
What a legendoory tierlist.
Yes I know where the door is, I'll see myself out.
I door know where it is.

I think the bio shock series has some really nice doors. They slide up in the first and second one and they have different designs based on the level, but they’re very cool mechanically and also look nice.

Pretty sure 5 comes after 1, think about what Michael says at the end "I'm going to come find you", it only makes sense that he finds his dad in fnaf 3 after he says that

I like the fact that this was literally the second thing that popped up for me when I searched "based".
Don't ask me why I searched "based".
Actually the most legendary door tierlist game is “door simulator”
Polygon donut: I need more doors
Also polygon's house: 5 front doors
Take it or leave it
Khan Doorman (from Murder Drones) would be so happy if he watched this video lmfao
