To be honest I really interspersed in bikes mostly cruisers but the main reason I watched all your videos is your way of speaking Australian English which is great
Been riding my Scout (1133cc) since 2015, so it’s not the Bobber. I do enjoy it and got the windscreen. pillion, sissy bar and luggage. Especially like that it’s fairly fast. Earlier a HD rider. Greetings from Finland.
Nice one. Hello Finland! 👍
6'1" here as well. Thanks very much for the detailed video and commenting on the rider ergonomics/feel being at that height! Have been concerned about that. Very helpful! Cheers buddy!
Thanks mate! Glad it was useful! 👍
Great video, thanks for making this. I enjoyed how thorough you are showing off all the details and specs of the bike. I just picked up my first Scout Bobber Twenty last week! Big fan of your channel, Cheers!

Hey thanks Turtle! Congrats on the Bobber Twenty purchase, I've been thinking about my ride a lot. I could've easily spent many more hours riding that bike. 👍
THANK YOU.
EXCELLENT review. THOUROUGHLY ENJOYED it.
(Getting my 'Twenty' on the 2-9-'2024 !)
Regards.
I really like your videos your very precise and your easy to follow well done 👍
Thanks John!
The engine likes to be up in the rev range. People usually cruise around 3000 rpm with them
Great down to earth review.
Great review mate, I've got friend's that have these and they love them. Would be great to compare with the Chief. Stay safe 👍🇦🇺
Thanks Tim, you too! 👍
Really great review! I’m now wondering when the Scout Rogue will arrive in Australia and would love to see you ride one.
great review! awesome looking bike. Ill have to go check out Indian ballarat!
Thanks J! Yes definitely check it out 👍
if my back and foot were right, Indians are my favourite looking bikes, i think. That was a cool ride!!!
Thanks Roger, I loved it. I could easily own this bike.
That very comfortable looking seat sure sent your kidneys into your mouth when you hit that bump of which there are many on all side roads. I,with some considerable work fitted springs to it and got myself a whole new bike! Now it is a pleasure to ride it.
A lot of people are critical of the seat and often blame the seat for the harsh ride. But the seat is not responsible for protecting me from bumps, as you've rightly identified that's the suspension's job. 😉👍
The Fox Shocks would be the first item on my list if I bought a Scout Bobber Twenty. Is that what you fitted Stephen?
Great Review and better for test riding in country than city I say,big thumbs up to you and Ballarat Indian,Looking forward to review on 2022 Ftr1200 and 2022 Chief Dark Horse,Keep up the fantastic work,Cheers
Count me in for the 2022 Chief Dark Horse
Thanks very much Ross!
@@BikesILike when I eventually get back on bike I would like to do ride together with few other subscribers
@@rosssteward9890 That's a nice idea Ross. I'll keep that in mind for a future event 👍
Top review. Thanks
Thanks for watching! 👍
I removed the rigid mount and fabricated a new one to enable fitting two under seat springs I bought of eBay. I might fit longer suspension shokies but so far I am happy with my job.
There you go! Great idea. Someone (maybe you) should look at fabricating a custom sprung mount for the Bobber and possibly putting them into production! 👍
Do you have a YT video of your seat arrangement?
Thanks mate. I can't find your review of the straight Indian Scout Bobber?
That's the one I'm yet to ride. It's also a bike I really want to ride. When the opportunity arises I will definitely do so.
Excellent, thorough review. Wonder how the Scout will compare to the Chief or Springfield.
Thanks Guy, It will be interesting to see. With the new Chief's wheelbase being closer to the Scout than the Springfield, I'm wondering if it'll feel more like the Scout to ride? Wheelbases: Scout 62", Chief 64" and Springfield 67".
@David Tucker Congrats David! Yes I think they're two items I'd eventually end up replacing as well. I've been thinking a lot about the Scout Bobber after my test ride, I could 've easily spent more hours riding it. Let me know what seat and shock options you end up going with 👍
Indian has to put a larger tank on one of these bikes or offer a larger customisable one before I’d be interested in buying one.
That speedometer is in miles per hour not kilometers 👍
No it's actually in kilometres I checked the speed. It fooled me initially. I like it like that though. Have a look at the numbers after 120, the Scout's not a 200mph bike. 😉
@@BikesILike not all scouts then cause mine is in miles per hour. And I’ve gone 150 on mine, but I also have upgraded parts/tune. 👍
@@jakeallembert9728 Are you in Australia?
@@BikesILike U.S
@@jakeallembert9728 Ahh that explains it! I'm in Australia and our bikes are only fitted with speedo's in Km/h. 👍
I don’t like how you can’t see your rpms.
An accessory tachometer with LED shift light is available from Indian for the Scout range. www.indianmotorcycle.com/en-us/shop/accessories/tanks-consoles/tachometer-shift-light/
What is rego and green slip cost per year?
I take it this is for the US? If so, hopefully my American friends can answer this for you.
@@BikesILike nah mate aus. NSW
@@campowell6372 Oh! We don't have green slips in Victoria, what is that?
@@BikesILike CTP insurance policy or Green Slip predominantly protects the driver of the motor vehicle from liability if they were to injure or cause the death of a person or people in a motor accident. Google definition. Goes off the cc’s
@@campowell6372 ahh ok we call that 3rd Party Insurance here. It's part of the rego cost.
I thought you were going the wrong way lol I’m I America l.
It was the same for me when I first started American videos. It still startles me when a rider makes a left hand turn into a street and doesn't check over their left shoulder for vehicles. Then I have to remind myself they're turning into oncoming traffic 😉
my measure 5.3 is ok for me?
5'3
Here's a list of all the bikes I've covered so far. tinyurl.com/DIF-Videos
You'll the Indian Scout models here showing a 5'3" rider. 👍
Indian Scout in town runs to HOT Sold my Indian scout
Really, is that a common complaint?
This is my biggest worry of all with this stunning bike id love to own
It is most likely you need to check your cooling fluid, this engine is superbly engineered and has a cooling system second to none.
nice cruiser .=nice ergo ., good punch at straight=better than in me cb 500 pc26 but slow in corner because of low cenetr of gravity + wide tire+ low footpeg and exhaust so limitioed lean angle :) =nothing new in cruiser category ';)me cb 500 will beat this bike in corner with easy but on striaght this bike beat me w ith easy its also relatively light like for its class 260 kg with full tank thats not bad alot thise type of bike weight like 300 kg + what also have good impact on performance on straight howeve rin this catgeory big weight isint big disadvantage and customer even want heavy big cruuiser but in other hand this smaller weight give this indian lil more punch at straight so like for me its more advantage than disadvanateg but like imw rite it depend on customer .i give this bike like 9/10 like for its category .
Are the guards plastic?
The only plastic on this Indian are the indicator light covers. All other parts are either pressed steel or cast alloy.
