It is impressive, but I would always dread the Big E back when I was a delivery driver. The whole region gets gridlocked for a 2 mile radius every weekend
First seat roller coaster! YEAH! I used to ride 'em first chair, hands in the air. My only complaint is that it was a short coaster. I liked seeing the drop coming, and the sound of the wooden coasters. The Fusion felt like fun. (I have a weird sense of fun.) The Cliffhanger would have gotten me sick for sure - an possibly oxygen-deprived to boot. (can't breathe as well face down)
Interesting and difficult for me to get interested in the fair these days. It is what it is and is scaled down in so many ways, no race track for example. Most of the ride’s appeared pretty lame too, sorry to be a downer. You are a very brave soul for getting on them. Thank you and I hope you keep on going.
❤❤❤❤ My childhood. I met the drummer from Staind there before they got on the radio. I got a sample cd of theirs and all of a sudden they were on the radio a year later. I used to get in for free as my best friends dad used to work there every year.
Loving the video! And I only just started watching. It's been so long since I've been to the Big E. I can't remember the last time I was on a carnival ride. awesome stuff 👍 edit: oh, and the Fusion Ride footage (with Go Pro horizon feature) was wild! lol. It looked fun (except for the rides that aren't powered, or break down lol) The guy at 18:36 should were a monster mask and pretend it's all a normal part of the experience 😅
I used to work at the Big E and loved the spiral potato chips, fried mushrooms, and cheese curds!! Unfortunately it looks like the rides need some updating for the cost… and the simulation ride was a extra charge!??? WoW 😮 Every year it gets more expensive and less for your money!! Did they still have the huge slide!? Again I think that’s a extra charge aside from the ride bracelet!! I used to love the big E , but haven’t gone in years due to each year there is less quality and more expensive!! It’s a money trap, and with the economy it’s not worth the $$!! In my opinion!! Have you ever gone to the Belchertown fair ?? Surprisingly they have alot of rides ( at least they did) and free to enter… it was this past weekend and is the same time every year!! Might want to try it while in the area for the Big E next year!? Thank you for the video!!
Yeah, the simulator was an extra charge. Not sure if it was worth it.... The slide is still there. That will be in part 2 of the video. Never been to the Belchertown Fair. I may go to some local fairs or carnivals this year....
@@fleabittenadventures The Belchertown fair is actually fairly big considering the size of the commons!! It has ( in previous years) and descent amount of carnival rides, and food vendors!! Also the Italian fest in province RI is great .. it’s always around Columbus day and the all of federal hill is shut down!! Again thank you for the big E video!!
The "Fusion" looks like a smaller "Round Up" ride. If I recall, the "Round Up"'s actually tilt further up and more verticle. I used to ride them in the 70's. The one thing I remember about them is that they ran faster than this Fusion one. And they were always uncomfortable when you got to the point where you were closer to the ground. That's probably why they lowered the tilt with these newer ones. And those Big E dark rides and funhousers were ALWAYS in poor repair. I remember riding them a few years ago and most of them had absolutely NO functioning elements inside of them. They were just riding a cart through a trailer and that was it. Nothing popping up. No sound effects. Nothing lighting up. Nothing. Even the funhouses seemed on their last legs with nothing working in them.
When I went to the Big E, the same guy was at one of the prize stands saying, "Step on town and get a priiiiize" and i didn't mind it, until i saw a group of probably 16 year old girls walk by and he said, "Come on pretty baby, you know you want one. Why don't you get a prize?" And that freaked me out 🥲
Big E is fantastic. Thanks for sharing it.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Does everything stay in place all year round?

Except for feeling like I was going to be sick, it was fun! Thanks for watching!
Hey, man, love the videos, keep up the good work
Thanks! Glad you like them, and thanks for watching!
Awesome video, amazing, looks like a huge event. New friend here.
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Especially being from Western Ma, i love your fun videos. Keep up the good work

The rides are pretty standard carnival rides. Nothing special. They just have a lot more than most carnivals do.
Great video. I don't know if I could've made it through those first few. I think FUSION qualifies you to now be an astronaut 😁
Yeah, Fusion was pretty terrifying.
Wish we could have gone to the Big E this year. It’s just not the same with my dad not around anymore. He loved eating the fried dough every year. 😢
Sorry to hear that. At least you know that if you go next year, it will be exactly the same as it was this year.
Horizon mode made Fusion look a lot more fun! I wanna go on that ride!
I think if the ride was whipping me back and forth like it appeared, I would have been severely injured! It was fun, but kind of terrifying too.

I agree. It kind of broke the illusion when he came in. Those dark rides need a lot of work. They always seems to have something not working.

Me and my brother got stuck on the other dark ride (Zombie Mansion) last week 🤣
Not surprised. They don't really maintain them well. Did they have all the effects turned off like on my ride?
@@fleabittenadventures I think some were on, but most of which were off.
Went last week and we passed on the rides. Every ride looked like it would bring my Turducken sandwich back up.
Probably. Luckily my stomach was empty at the time. Thanks for watching!

Damn bro give the guy a minute to come help you on that dark ride That’s my biggest pet peeve. Hello? Hello? Like WTH?
That first fun house was hilariously bad 😅
i dont know if u saw me but i saw u i was there
I saw you and waved, but you didn't wave back. I was very disappointed....
Can you do another rides video and can you ride the sky screamer
Those fun houses looked terrible 😂not even an apology for getting stuck from the operator???
Nope. I don't even think all the effects were turned on.
Geeeezzzz dude at $30 you got ripped and was glad to all illegals ar working.
There will be a part 2 to the video, so I did go on more rides. It is expensive, but it's way more expensive to buy individual tickets.

Yeah, kind of creepy
