Dermaplaning changed my life! I’m blonde and have sensitive skin. The peach fuzz was driving me nuts as I aged because it “grips” onto foundation and makes it look cakey. Bonus: the exfoliation level is comparable to microdermabrasion if done correctly. Minus the fuzz and dead skin my skin glows and looks youthful. I am frequently mistaken for being in my mid-to-late 30s…I’m 54 (and have NOT had surgery!). ☺️ Tips from medspa aestheticians: start with clean, dry skin. _Gently_ pull the skin taught-loose skin is easy to catch and cut yourself. Hold your blade (they use #10 scalpels) at a 45° angle; use short quick strokes; downward strokes are recommended by the razor companies b/c you’re less likely to get ingrown hairs, but what’s most important is to keep the direction consistent-many estys move upward and outward towards the hairline. After care: 10 min of steam is ideal followed by gentle moisturizer and/or facial oil, and sunscreen is a must for exfoliated skin. Only repeat every 2 weeks minimum (3-4 is better) as over-exfoliation is not good for your skin either. Lastly, never dermaplane over acne or broken skin as it can cause scarring and hyperpigmentation that can be permanent.
If you're late to the party, like me, I just wanted to let you know that Stacked is having a Black Friday sale right now. Pretty nice discount depending on how much you spend. Thanks for the great video. I've been too intimidated to try dermaplaning, and feel more confident now.
I was taught yearssss ago, i am 57, that shaving your peach fuzz will make your face feel sharp and stubby when it grows in and that it grows thicker. I always avoided it and just plucked away. Now I guess that was an old wives tale?
I’m always thankful to find a beauty RUclipsr for us Ladies +50 ☺️ I love Makeup but I just can’t get my skin as flawless as the young girls/women here. And I get very frustrated. I used to go to a cosmetology to get my hair off with wax, but it was too expensive. I started with this way since last year and it’s better and cheaper. I already subscribed!
Great video! I love your channel. I tried the small razors, and they were a good way to "get my feet wet" and the I saw the "Dermaflash" ......total game changer. I got mine from QVC and I absolutely LOVE it. I use it about every 2 weeks. Of course, I do have the occasional chin hair that grows about 2 feet overnight that I will pluck in between- but that's just a wonderful thing that happens when you get older (she says totally tongue in cheek)
A few years back I fell and hit my face on my four poster bed. I ended up breaking and cutting my nose which required stitches. My ear nose and throat specialist told me to shave my scar on my nose to prevent scarring. I did as he said and you can barely notice I have a scar. He verified that yes shaving a scar thins it out.
The tinkle razor is nothing BUT a dull razor! I started off using those little toy razors myself, but after watching Dr. Dray, decided to just use a regular razor and shaving cream. I shave about twice a month. It's so much faster, easier, and my skin is so smooth. Makeup applies so much easier too!
I just love how open you are about things that most women really don't want to talk about.. I actually do exactly the same thing and have exactly the same problems you do. Peach fuzz and then whiskers on the.. 😂
Thank you for pointing out the lefty aspect!! I had no idea these were made for righties, but I should have assumed, considering everything is. I never even thought of that and can’t wait to see if there’s an improvement if I can manage with my right hand. I was SO happy once I finally gave in and started using those little shavers. My peach fuzz got crazy when I hit 40 and I was always too afraid of stubble to do it. It’s so worth it!
I was born with alot of peach fuzz and it never went away. I recently discovered that the hair doesn't get darker when you shave. Just more blunt because it's new hair. Just have a hard time getting a routine to make it easy and fast. Thanks! This helped way more than any other video I've seen on this topic. Definitely subscribing. I've seen 2 of your videos and I just love your content.
Thank you for your comment. I have never done anything about the huge amount of fuzz I have, because I fear it will cause more dark course hair on my chin and top lip.
About 5 yrs ago (age 55) I was shamed at a luncheon when I told other women I shaved my face when we were discussing dermaplaning. So happy to see this now
I use a one glide Once weekly which keep the dark whiskery chin hairs at bay . I did have laser which was very good , obviously more costly , unavailable where I live now ,so frankly was wasted money & all grew back once stopped .The one glide works just as well , initial cost was the same as one laser treatment so highly recommend or a similar brand .
Interesting! Thank you! Do you find the texture of the peach fuzz changed with shaving your face? I'm worried about developing a face full of much coarser peach fuzz.... You make this look very easy and quick and I'm very tempted!
Yeah because we've been taught for years that it will come back thicker and courser but now everyone is saying that it won't. I have no idea who to believe.
Not all all!!! It grows back just as fine and soft. Because you are cutting the hair off at the thickest point, I notice my brow growth more. It is a fatter hair to start with and I’m cutting all the hair just to the skin at the same time, I notice the dark growth more. For example, I touched up my entire face about every 2 to 3 weeks, but I still go in and clean up my brows more often. If my mustache was darker and thicker like when I was younger, I would probably be touching that off more often to. Or maybe I should be and I’m just not noticing it because my eyes are getting bad LOL.
Thank you so much for all your video tutorials! I've been following you for about a month now and have completely redone my makeup routine thanks to you! Everyone is noticing the changes. And now, I'll be shaving my face. :)
I love your videos they have helped me tremendously! Thank you and please keep making more. You mentioned that you have plucked your chin hairs and it reminded me of something that my mom always said to me along time ago “ You pluck chickens not hair, you tweeze it”
Thanks much for being transparent with your instructional videos (I was laughing as I was "feeling" my chin hairs just as you mentioned them). I've often wondered if the hair grows back thicker once it's dermaplaned (do you have an updated code for the Stacked Skincare tool?)
I don't have an updated code but I think if you put in your email, you can get the same discount 😂😂😂. Hair doesn't go back thicker, but its like freshly cut hair, the ends are blunt and may feel that way, but if you ever missed one and let it grow for a while, you'll see the ends eventually soften!
Thank you for this great video! I purchased a flawless blade and razors about a year ago, but wasn't quite sure how to do it, or where all I could do it. Thanks for the great tutorial!
I've tried dermaplaning my face and it really irritated it. I have sensitive skin & rosacea and dermaplaning it seemed to make my skin worse. So I started shave I ng my face, it works better for me.
I see that you have answered this but I have to ask again for confidence sack. I've been shaving and plucking the hair on my chin and upper lip for 30 years. It is much thicker and darker not long after starting. I do have PCOS so get excess hair. The peach fuzz on the sides of my face is something I've been noticing for a few years now. I am extremely nervous about shaving my face because anything I've shaved grows thicker and darker.
Maybe just try something like your jawline on one side and towards the back the first few times and just see what happens. Typically, it should have no effect because you’re just cutting dead hair but if you have a condition that any sort of stimulation to your skin might increase hair production, I’m not familiar with it. And even though shaving cuts the hair at the fattest point and it sometimes feels thicker, the peach fuzz is so fine that you can’t really feel the difference. I’d be interested to know how it works for you.!
I like to use a battery powered device. Wahl has one (marketed toward men, but I don't care), and I've seen and used multiple brands marketed toward women as eyebrow trimmers. Some of them do have replaceable blades, and they make quick work of the peach fuzz.
I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the flawless products. I have always been afraid to try for fear of the hair growing back in more noticeable
I am shaving my face or think I am but I never see any fine hair on the razor or when I shake it on the white sink. Also it doesn't feel like I am shaving. I have tried regular razor and the small ones designed for women. I don't know if I am holding it correctly
No one talks about this. How did you know about the weird rouge black hairs? I have a light complexion and these dark hairs. The peach fuzz. If I leave the house I definitely put on some foundation and it ‘lays’ on the hairs. I’ve so wanted to shave them but wasn’t sure. I can’t tell you how helpful this is.
I pluck those whiskers, I have a row of five of them on my chin. It doesn’t matter if I pluck or if I shave, they are just really thick and I spend all day rubbing them until I can remove them!!
Yes it is still the only one I use today!! I have bought multiple repurchases of both their full-size blades and their smaller blades for the eyebrows. Though I have nicked my brows a couple times with the smaller blades lol
Lisa, I wasn’t sure you’d see my message nor reply! Thank you! I found you on IG and left you a similar message. I used your link and did purchase the Stacked. Thank you for the additional info about the blades. Enjoy your day, Terese 🌸 PS- I’ve watched several of your videos and love them, thank you.
Hello. I’ve always shaved my peach fuzz, but this is very helpful and more in depth. But I’m confused about the eyebrows. I always thought most women pluck and you don’t seem to do that. Do you pluck at all? Also, there is an old wives tale about shaving whiskers making them come back thicker?
I pluck and shave!! I have those chin whiskers and I like things to grow back at different rates. I feel like plucking actually stimulated the hair follicles more than shaving, the only reason it can feel thicker is your cutting at thickest point so it pokes through thicker… But that is only for my black hairs, on my chin, maybe my mustache, around my eyes. That white peach fuzz is so baby fine I don’t feel it or notice it coming back thicker at all
@@LisaMonique AWWWW!! Too bad! it is pricy. I don't think I will get it unless there is some kind of deal. I love your videos. I always learn something amazing. Thank you!
Thank you for your videos. I have a question about cleaning your blades. I have always been using water to remove the hair then using the wet blade on my skin. How are you removing the build up? Are you wiping it on a particular type of cloth to keep the blade as pristine as possible? I value your opinion and instructions.
I just wipe on a towel and toss/replace blade when it doesn’t shave quickly. It’s really easy for me to tell with the tinkle blade, they only are good a couple times and then I can tell they are leaving all the fuzz.
So I've been doing this for about 4/5 months now, and I've noticed around my chin and upper lip area, my hair would grow back more and become waaaay darker. For example, before my upper lip had blonde hairs, and since removing with the facial blade, the'yre growing back black.... Am I doing something wrong? I find that if I prep in the morning with my makeup, by night I'll have sorta a 5 o'clock shadow )':
I have 2 types of hair, the white peach fuzz and the darker facial hair, it shouldn't change the type of follicular like cutting hair, but maybe the shaving is stimulating the darker hair?
I just happened to come across this video..love the content New subscriber here! Do you still have a code to share for the Stacked Derma tool? How do you clean it and how many shaves till you change out the blade? Thank you for this video.
I don't have an active code, though I still use! I think if you sign up for email, you get a discount. I probably use each blade longer than I should, lol, but easily 4 full face shaves, I usually use a few months. I'm still on my first refill pack a year later, but it does definitely shave better with fresher blades. I have the new smaller detail blades for my brows now, but I like those a little less sharp, they don't have any blade protection on corners and I've nicked myself every single time I've used them, not enough to scab but enough to see a spot of blood, lol. I need to get better with them. The face blade has protective corners and I've never nicked myself, even with a new or older blade.
How often do you shave, do you think once you start shaving you mind plays tricks where you think it grows back faster and thicker, I really need to do this re fuzz fluff on my cheeks, can it be done by wet shaving 😁
I SHOULD. shave at least every 2 weeks but sometimes it takes me a while and then I’m in a 10x mirror going OMGodh, my face is a weds (like today, but now I’m freshly shaved). I don’t think it grows back faster or thicker, or at least I haven’t noticed that to be the case.
I enjoyed the video, I learned a lot. But I could not find the discount code, where is it? I’ve subscribed and look forward to your other tutorial. Thanks!
@@deb9806 i wish I didnt have to shave underarms and legs ..-menopause hasnt changed that for me at all unfortunately! Im nervouis about stubble...that seems worse than facial hair which i know i need to do something about but havent yet.
@@janetwild2265 most facial hair is fuzz or so light you can't really see it. I actually never saw hair on my cheeks since I'm not outside in bright sun with a magnifying mirror. ; ) Mustache hair most of my Italian friends had but again, not much and I just shaved, never let it grow so I could wax, just caught the few hairs and didn't really think about it. Don't fret, don't know your age, but you might still need to shave less later
How does this shave compare to the flawless shaver? Have you used it? If so, maybe the razors on your vid are a better shave? I do like how quick i can grab my $20 flawless and do the upper lip without even a mirror and no nicking 😉
I just nicked myself for the first time EVER this week! Fortunately, it didn't really even scab it was so shallow, lol. I have not tried the flawless shaver, I might need to now! I usually think about it most in the shower, so I am usually shaving with my regular razor (I keep 2 in shower, one for face and one for body)
This is a whole new world/idea for me!! Thankyou🙏 I’m the same colouring as you , so I wondered if you pluck the very thick whiskery hairs and pluck your eyebrows too. I’m a bit scared of shaving whisker hairs in case I end up with a manly 5 o’ clock shadow 😱 Dee x
I usually pluck because I’m sitting on my couch and all of a sudden feel one (or 3 or 4) on my chin and have to run and grab the tweezers. But when I’m shaving my face I do my chin and use a different smaller razor for my brows and around the eyes. They do not grow back thicker or faster, however they will grow back at the same time!
Not at all for most of face!! That white peach fuzz does not have any stubble and you can’t feel it growing back. My row of whiskers on my chin is another story! I totally can feel them growing in and it drives me crazy
I started shaving my face for probably 30 years. I have switched to a derma planer. I just turned 57 and I have no wrinkles. Not even crows feet. And your face feels & looks fabulous! ❤️
I have one black whisker that suddenly started growing in my late 30’s, too! And I’m a natural blonde…..what’s up with that?! I plucked it for years, and now it has stopped growing since I had a hysterectomy.
@@LisaMonique Wasn’t the post operative period(the first six hours after surgery) awful? I was in so much pain! But now I have no regrets, but I’ve found I have to watch my weight for the first time in my life since getting the hysterectomy. I kept my ovaries, though, and I do not have to take hormones. I feel good, hopefully you will, too.
I was wondering if you would go ahead and trim the very tail of your eyebrow like you said in another video because you like it to go up or out, but not down on the end. Both my eyebrows go down a little on the end and I don't like that, bc I really believe it makes a difference in whether the eye is perceived as going down or drooping , so I'm thinking of removing a little off of the ends of them (the outer ends). Did you do that, as you said you might, in that other video?
I wouldn't shave, too scared I'd shave 1/2 my eyebrow off!! But I still do pluck those end ones. Especially since Ive been putting my lash serum on my eyebrows too and the hair is growing longer!!
Trim them with good sharp nail scissors to see if you like it,if you dont like it,you can pencil them until they regrow.I tried it and its improved my brows, sometimes i use pencil to darken and extend them up.
No it does not, The baby hairs on the face I don’t notice and I can’t feel at all, I just see sometimes in my make up mirror or I feel like my face isn’t as smooth, like I need to exfoliate…which usually means shave my face!
I've been shaving my mustache and just under chin for years, but notice that those hairs are more course now than when I've waxed or tweezed instead. Do you find that the peach fuzz on your face becomes more course over time? I'm going to invest in the more expensive tool because I've consistently seen good reviews.
No, not at all I really don’t feel my peach fuzz coming in it’s more that I see it when I’m looking at my face in my 10x magnifying mirror 🤪. But I do pluck my chin hairs more than shave them. It’s all some more for having them come in at different times than the whole row growing in at the exact same moment 😂
Good to see this being done as there are a lot of differing opinions on doing this with a razor. If it's feminized like this more cultures will do this too. There r many women with hursuit problems from mild to major. Flawless sell a peach fuzz remover and there is a product called yes Which IV yet to try. It would be good to see you cover face firming macines too if possible as there r many to compare them would be good to see. Great video again as well.🌺
I didn't either until about 3 years ago...I was sharing a hotel room w/girlfriend at convention and she mentioned she loved doing it, so I tried it and loved the way my skin feels and my powder looks!
Hello! I just caught a few of hour videos; I found you this past summer just looking for a guitarist teacher; Point is , my dear best friend turned me on to Face Shaving; I use a "Dads Old Shaver" double edge. Also, I shave my nose and forehead too!!! All these years my Mum always said she'd love to shave her face cause, Men do not get wrinkles. Best exfoliation!!! women's legs do not wrinkle!! Anyhow, I shave using my Wen Cleanser. I use Dr.Denrese, anti aging products too! My Mum, Thank GOD!!! Told me, "now you are 17, and have peaches and cream skin, but!!!!! I'm starting you on moisturizer!!!! No wrinkles yet, but!!! Above upper lip, have few light lines; Dr.Denese, Advance Firming Pads helpes, along with her Serum, followed by one of her moisturizers. I hit a Beatles Song already..... I still say you have Audrey Hepburn Eyes!! I look forward to checking out the rest of your videos. Perhaps, I can be updated to today, February 24,2022 Stay Healthy!! ✌❤
No, however you are cutting the hair off at the thickest part so it could feel a little thicker but the white fuzz on my face I can’t feel it all growing back. I just see it when it gets long again. My little whiskers on my chin I do feel stubble when they come back in. However I usually pluck them because I like them to come in at different times lol.
I wouldn’t think so, maybe you’re not shaving as close, but hair growth varies so much between person to person and the type of hair. My brow hair seems to come in much faster than the white hair on my face. It may be because it’s so much darker and more noticeable than that fuzz. Also, now that I’m in my 50s I think my hair growth is just a lot slower too. I noticed that a lot of my legs compared to when I was younger..
My hair also starts to grow back in a couple of days. Its all blonde but a lot of it. I love shaving my face because I'm so self conscience of the hair , but my husbands hates feeling the stubbly hair
Is there a reason people don't use shaving cream or anything like even soap an water? I always use an Aloe Vera shaving cream but most people dont. I don't like tinkle at all I bought a different set off Amazon that has various sizes one is teeny tiny an it's was very inexpensive. But those ridges on tinkle don't let you get close enough at all. So you don't need to spend $75 to get that same result.😀
I think you could use whatever makes it the most comfortable for you. I don’t know why they tend to do it dry skin. When I’m shaving in the shower I just use a bar soap on my face LOL
i’m going to be 60 in september n noticing very light peach fuzz in my experience anyone i know who shaves there face wen they kiss me goodbye cheek to cheek there face scratches me like stubble that’s y i’m afraid to shave help lol
So funny, I don't know ANYONE that has that issue! The peach fuzz is so fine, that even cut at the fattest point, it's baby soft, unlike whiskers (like on my chin!). But it's a choice, if you have a lot of facial hair, you may decide you'd rather risk that than have the hair....or you may choose to leave it! The beauty is, its always our own choice. Most people won't notice the difference on someone else either way, lol.
Wow, $75 for a tiny razor! I will probably get it but it will kill me to spend that much money on a tool that probably costs them $5, at the most. I know you know what I mean. Men don’t appreciate us enough. What we go through is enormous! We have to shave, put on toners, serums, lotion, sunscreen, foundation, the rest of the makeup, setting spray, wash twice a day with two cleansers, repeat the toner, serum etc and then add Tretinoin, dark spot removers, eye cream, eyelash and eyebrow serums, and a special pillow. This does not include all the tools of the trade. I have a Nira eye laser, a Nebulyft, a FreezeCo Beauty electrocution device (I gave my daughter-in-law my Myolyft Mini (as it took too long)so she could electrocute her face too and got the FreezeCo Beauty Microcurrent Device, then use the Timemaster Pro, then finally the Aduro Red Light Mask, with many colors. I have the Tria Age-defying Smooth Beauty Laser coming, but it’s on back order. When will I fit that in to the routine? My husband takes a shower and shaves his face. Woopi do! I also use my Kenzie IPL Hair Remover occasionally. Really?! Oh, yeah, I’m looking better, but to what end?
I can’t seem to find the code for the stacked product. Also, have you ever tried those little light up electric ones? I don’t imagine they remove dead skin tho, just the peach fuzz.
I have one of the small round battery operated razors for my face. It's made the hair above my lip rougher and it seems to grow back faster. I had it waxed and that didn't last three weeks. I can't afford to go every month. Guess I'll buy the small razors like she's using for peach fuzz.
Hi, your channel just showed up in my feed in the past week and I subscribed immediately! I really appreciate your no-nonsense approach to beauty and makeup. In the first video you discussed the idea of not necessarily wearing foundation everywhere on your face. I was hooked! I am 72 and have larger pores on my nose and more texture on my chin and between my eyes. For the first time ever I went to work without a full face foundation this week and I’m so darn happy! I also love the idea of. Or putting foundation under my eyes. It’s is so true that if you are using concealer and foundation, there is just too much product, and my crepey under eye area looks worse with more product. Now if I get up the nerve to derma-plane/shave the peach fuzz from under my chin, I will be a happy girl!! Thanks so much for the insight! btw, your nude lipstick video was great as well!♥️♥️
Because it doesn’t start like hair on a man’s face! The white peach fuzz is not going to turn into stiff whiskers. I have both, lol, a row of about 5 whiskers on my chin and trust me, it’s night and day, I can tell when those whiskers are coming in right away but the peach fuzz I normally have to be looking for my mirror I don’t feel them
I tried this now I could grow a beard I have to shave every other day the hair grows in black and a stiff white hair Do Not Shave I really wish I never did!!!!
So sorry this happened to you! Most everyone I know, actually everyone I know who shaves has no issue with regrowth and no beard. I’m assuming it has to do with how much facial hair you had in the beginning
No, unless you have some condition which I’ve heard about that it’s extremely rare. Unlike plucking, you’re not stimulating the hair bulb. On my white peach fuzz I don’t even notice it coming back in. On my darker brows and my chin hairs yes they can be slightly stubbly because I’m cutting the hairs at the widest point. So I alternate plucking and shaving my brows and chin so that they come in at different times
@@LisaMonique Thank you so much 😍 I must try it, because after my menopause my "peachee" is more markable..... You're right with the stimulating hair bulb - it never occurred to me. Thank you !
Not on that peach fuzz. On a rare few it can encourage growth, but on majority, it doesn’t. I have both the darker hairs and the peach fuzz. On the darker hairs it’s like shaving your legs, It may feel stiff or at first because the blunt edge is pushing through, but it’s really the same pace. At my age, I actually have fewer hairs on my legs and my face overall though I did get a bunch of chin whiskers in my 30s
I have actually also heard that is the reason men tend to look younger than women because they are always exfoliating their facial skin as their shaving.
Ahhhhh, I bet that was true!! Now it seems women chemical exfoliate to the point contact dermatitis is the the number one reason people visit dermatologists now and men don't shave at all 🤣
Dermaplaning changed my life!
What is the code?

Seriously no
Is it poky n priky when it's growing back
Thank you so much for all your video tutorials! I've been following you for about a month now and have completely redone my makeup routine thanks to you! Everyone is noticing the changes. And now, I'll be shaving my face. :)
I love your videos they have helped me tremendously! Thank you and please keep making more. You mentioned that you have plucked your chin hairs and it reminded me of something that my mom always said to me along time ago “ You pluck chickens not hair, you tweeze it”
😂😂😂.
I was feeling my chin too!
Just found this video! Thanks!
Thanks Lisa! I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Just being you, open and honest
@@LisaMonique Thank you Lisa. I will give it more thought...and no doubt buy one of those shavers and see what happens.
?
Excellent info. Thank you. Love your videos.
I like to use a battery powered device. Wahl has one (marketed toward men, but I don't care), and I've seen and used multiple brands marketed toward women as eyebrow trimmers. Some of them do have replaceable blades, and they make quick work of the peach fuzz.
I also “shave”, but just my chin and upper lip. Always had a fear of the fuzz growing back stiffer. Have you noticed that happening?
Hi. I’m on a second video of yours. But from the first for makeup over50. What and when is sunscreen used. I’m in Florida. Thanks
I use after morning skincare and before foundation, or I put on top of everything if I’m going out in direct sun….
I just started watching you and I really loved your ideas and tips
I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the flawless products. I have always been afraid to try for fear of the hair growing back in more noticeable
Informative video thanks
Thank you 😊
This video was very helpful.
I shave in the shower with the Quattro all the time and love it!
I am shaving my face or think I am but I never see any fine hair on the razor or when I shake it on the white sink. Also it doesn't feel like I am shaving. I have tried regular razor and the small ones designed for women. I don't know if I am holding it correctly
Should be at 45 degree angle, I don’t see as much shaken off vs when I wipe on black towel, I can see hairs and skin cells.
Lisa, you videod this 2 years ago. I’m just watching it for the first time. Is the Stacked deplaner still your best one even today?
Yes it is still the only one I use today!! I have bought multiple repurchases of both their full-size blades and their smaller blades for the eyebrows. Though I have nicked my brows a couple times with the smaller blades lol
Lisa, I wasn’t sure you’d see my message nor reply! Thank you! I found you on IG and left you a similar message. I used your link and did purchase the Stacked. Thank you for the additional info about the blades. Enjoy your day, Terese 🌸
PS- I’ve watched several of your videos and love them, thank you.
I have a Conair shaver that runs on batteries. I use rechargables and I've had the same razor for 10 yrs, found it at Walgreens.
Great tip 💡 💕🌸
Thank you so much for this video. I had no idea how to go around my eyebrows so thank you.
Glad it was helpful!!! 🌸
That white peach fuzz is so baby fine I don’t feel it or notice it coming back thicker at all
I don't see the code for stacked skincare dermaplaining tool. Do you still have that available?
I do not, because it was an old video and a short promotion
Thank you 😊
Great info! Thanks!! Will try tonight!!
Awesome! You’ll love it!💕🌸🥰
Do you put a moisturizer on after you’ve shaved your face?
I do, it doesn’t irritate my skin.
Thanks!
It was only for a short time so I removed after it expired. They do have specials frequently on their site also.
I seem to break out after I shave. Any tips on how to prevent this?
Hmmm, are you going against the hair, if so I'd suggest trying shaving downward strokes and waiting before putting on anything heavy on the skin.
@@LisaMonique I think I’ve always shaved down but haven’t angled when the growth direction has changed. I’ll try it out and see if that works.
Thank you for noticing the difference as a Lefty, as I am, as well!
What do you think about the battery powered electric ones?
I have not tried them but several of my viewers say they work great!
That’s a big savings, thank you Lisa ☘️🌿🌺!! I’m v pleased with result 😊!! I like those little headed ones you use too. Thank you!
Thanks fir watching Olina!😊😊😊
I’m Italian, so I’ve been “dermaplaning” since it was called shaving😂
🤣🤣🤣
Me too. Menopause halted underarm and legs mostly but not face !
Thanks for showing how to get face hair with these tool’s 😊👍🏻
Texas Lady🦋
This is a whole new world/idea for me!! Thankyou🙏
I’m the same colouring as you , so I wondered if you pluck the very thick whiskery hairs and pluck your eyebrows too.
I’m a bit scared of shaving whisker hairs in case I end up with a manly 5 o’ clock shadow 😱
Dee x
I usually pluck because I’m sitting on my couch and all of a sudden feel one (or 3 or 4) on my chin and have to run and grab the tweezers. But when I’m shaving my face I do my chin and use a different smaller razor for my brows and around the eyes. They do not grow back thicker or faster, however they will grow back at the same time!
Question: is there a noticeable texture of stubble after dermaplaning?
Not at all for most of face!! That white peach fuzz does not have any stubble and you can’t feel it growing back. My row of whiskers on my chin is another story! I totally can feel them growing in and it drives me crazy
I started shaving my face for probably 30 years. I have switched to a derma planer. I just turned 57 and I have no wrinkles. Not even crows feet. And your face feels & looks fabulous! ❤️
Thanks for sharing!! 💕
I have one black whisker that suddenly started growing in my late 30’s, too! And I’m a natural blonde…..what’s up with that?! I plucked it for years, and now it has stopped growing since I had a hysterectomy.
Oh I just had a hysterectomy last month! Maybe it will slow/stop my whiskers!!
@@LisaMonique And by the way, you are beautiful and your makeup tips have been very helpful. I’m 48.
Is there a more eco friendly way to do this? All those plastic razors, adding to land fill!!
I just stated this and i also started retinol treatments too and shaving helps with regional uglies.
@@LisaMonique yes, I understand the fear, that fear of taking off too much!!😲😃
Trim them with good sharp nail scissors to see if you like it,if you dont like it,you can pencil them until they regrow.I tried it and its improved my brows, sometimes i use pencil to darken and extend them up.
This is a great video. I had no idea there were benefits to shaving a women’s face.
Hi just wondering if your hair grows back thicker
No it does not, The baby hairs on the face I don’t notice and I can’t feel at all, I just see sometimes in my make up mirror or I feel like my face isn’t as smooth, like I need to exfoliate…which usually means shave my face!
Maybe add a little bit of bio oil to your face when shaving. I think it works better with bio oil.
I have been hesitating to start fearing it would make the hair grow in more dense and darker.
It doesn't, the peach fuzz still is white when it comes back!
Interesting! Are you still using the stacked skin Care device ?
I am, thank you for reminding me to order more blades. It lasts so much longer and is closer shave then my Tinkle razors.
Oh oh oh I'm in Phoenix, AZ! too
What do you put on your face after shaving?
Just my regular skincare! Usually my elf holy hydration moisturizer.
@@LisaMonique thank you!
I put nothing on the night that I dermaplane. The next night is when I will use my serums.
@@colleen8868 thank you.
Thank you SO much. xo
Great video again as well.🌺
I am 40 and began shaving this year! Husband was worried it'd grow back thicker each time I shave. Lol. I reminded him I am not a man.
😂😂😂
I had no idea these even existed. Interesting. I have two hairs I tweeze every couple of weeks, but didn't know women shaved their faces!
I didn't either until about 3 years ago...I was sharing a hotel room w/girlfriend at convention and she mentioned she loved doing it, so I tried it and loved the way my skin feels and my powder looks!
Do you prefer shaving over hair removers?
Yes because I can't wax with tretinoin and chemical removers irritate my skin.
can you still use tretinion after dermaplaning? 🙂
Yes, if your skin is sensitive, you may want to skip a night but I use same night.

Is it true that hair grows thicker when shaving.
Thanks.
You're this pretty now, I'll bet you were ridiculously gorgeous in your 20's! Life is not fair for some of us,lol
my hair starts to grow back in 2 days? am I doing something wrong? 🙂
@@LisaMonique thank you 😊
My hair also starts to grow back in a couple of days. Its all blonde but a lot of it. I love shaving my face because I'm so self conscience of the hair , but my husbands hates feeling the stubbly hair
I don’t see the discount code…
how does it grow back if not using for a month
Soft…I don’t notice until I see my face from the side and see the fuzz! It’s not stiff (except for the 5-6 chin whiskers!)
Does the hair grow back like men’s beard
No, it’s baby soft and fine…actually like the peach fuzz that’s on a newborn!
Is there a 20% discount code?
Not any more, they had only given me a limited code and this was a few years ago! But I’m still using!!
Thanks so much for the insight! btw, your nude lipstick video was great as well!♥️♥️
Thank you so much Dee! I’m so glad you found me💕💕
@@LisaMonique Me too!
I use an epilator on my face.
How does the hair not come back as wiskers like on a mans face? Or leg hair?
Do hairs not grow stronger after a while? Don't they grow faster? I'm so scary! 🙃
Thank you !
Doesn't it encourage hair growth. I would imagine it does.
Hate that fuzzy hair!
Me too!!!!😊
10:48 Aahhhh, that's not 45°!!! That's 90° or perpendicular to your face!!! 😲
Well I may not keep it 45 all the time 🤪. It still works though!
You must travel a lot. You mention it often.
Yes….A LOT!
