The Patrol wagons wouldn't be, plenty of the others would be. The solid axle vehicles only have easy toe adjustment, so wheel alignment not such an issue, unless some dufus puts caster bushes in upside down.... and yes, I have seen a dipstick Patrol owner with a 4" lift and 3 degree bushes installed upside down. Does it wander on the highway? - yes, says he. No shit, says I.

I'm sure in countries where governments mandate certain fuel efficiency standards, they have bare bottom weight capacities so they perform better in city gas millage certifications. Most of those cars would be "overweight" with five adult male passengers in them... All you need to do is use common sense. If your car is fully loaded give yourself more stopping time, don't do max speed runs, and don't try to rally race it in the mountains. Easy peasy, no need to fret...

Across the scale, our front axle carries the Cummins 8.3 at 8,000-pounds.
    Rear axle carries 6,000-pounds.
    About 14,000-pounds loaded.

We got a 2002 Prado, we bought it with a new 2" lift on it, and after watching this video I went out to go look at the upper control arms and there still stock and my front wheels are on a weird camber.
So me and the family are going to rainbow beach for Chrissy and camper trailer in tow. So please boys, I'll gladly accept the 2" lift done correctly

is chomping at the bit for Fraser (island)!
    Near stock as a rock,
She gives it all she’s got,
    But with only 140 clicks,
she could do with some new tricks!

New Y62 Patrol, to take this beast off the beaten track in the Vic high country for its first run on a new set up suspension would be the best. This would also allow us to tow a van with ease and safely when we get one 👍🏼

One of the first things some off tourers seem to do these days is put the biggest heaviest tyres on the car then carry two of them, you only need them to look good!!!! Remember, some of us will ,when cars were built and sold to live and work off road 75s 105s they often came with skinny’s on split rims wonder why?heavy tyres will make your suspension work way harder than it needs to as well ,not to mention your steering. In remote areas you don’t need this .Skinny tyres I have found less likely to puncture as well and are often better load rated.

Hey Shauno I've got 2010 mn Triton single cab on stop suspension I'm only 17 but and turning 18 early next year in feburary I can't wait to get my license and see what the victorian high country has for me and a bit of a tour around wherever I can go soon I've been saving money for a strut spacer and new rear shocks so a cheap lift for the triton but I'm so happy this comp has come up for the chance to get one, I'de like to get a nudge bar or a cheaper bullbar swell but ill have to wait a bit for that ahah :) you guys ar so awesome and inspiring for the 4wding community I've got a 77 FJ45 with a 2F sitting in my uncles paddock waiting for me to restore it at some point and hopefully go up to cape York like Shauno did thanks heaps guys keep the inspiration coming ;)

The people that do the GVM upgrade certification now have the market cornered and are charging outrageous prices. I recently fitted new upgrade springs, shocks, bushes and shackles, the full kit even though i was 200kg under GVM. To get someone to look at it and fit the mod plate they want around $1000 for maybe an hours work. This industry needs a major shake out.
