His style is far less repetitive than any given comp skater. As much as I love Joslin, for instance, he doesn't improvise worth a damn. Almost none of them do. Andy does. To hell with scores and prizes...Andy is everything skateboarding represents!

My favourite skater. Love the helmet too when I skate anything new or hard I try to use my knee pads and helmet atleast at the beginning. Making it cool to be safe like Mullen gets the utmost respect 🤙🏽
Having pads on gives you the confidence you need to conquer whatever your skating goals are, whether it's a transition line at your local park or a new flip tricks you're trying to learn, they have helped me get much farther than I ever thought I would

Completely forgot I made this comment I’ve grown so much since then and Andy is still my favourite skater 😂
there is something u can't explain about the flow a skater can have, Andy Anderson has'nt what Yuto Horigome has (one of the flowest skateboarder ever for me). Relaxation and confidence of the landing is all about in my opinion

If you don't land a complete run, then obviously you'll have a hard time beating complete runs, that makes perfect sense. Consistency is part of the contest, you gotta be able to consistently land it, not just able to land it sometimes, in theory.
That “slow comply” at 0:46… I invented it 37 years ago. He named it, but he got it from Street Survival. I’m soooooo stoked to see it in a contest run.

Go watch a mullen contest run in the 80s.. he was consistent and much more skilled and high level. When he switched to street he was even better. You simply can't compare the two. Rodney was better at old-school and new school 100 percent .
