There are no losers in this video. These guys are fantastic. All these guys deserve an award for their efforts. Their ability is at a higher level and it is very difficult to separate them by quality. This was a treat to watch. 👏
I haven't even gotten to Andy yet. Someone said that kid was 15, and they just laid out a run I couldn't hope to achieve in my life. I wanna see Andy skate--he's the reason I'm here. But that kid deserves their own taglines. I'm actually disappointed that I've seen them skate twice and I still have to look them up. Absolute beast.
If I remember correctly there was an older Nka video of Andy going to an outside roller hockey court and this Pink shirt dude is chillin there practicing his flatground freestyle & was so stoked to see Andy randomly show up. Pretty crazy seeing him compete & how damn good he is today!!! I need to go back and find that video! Pretty cool!
I think Andy Anderson has style and looks good on a skateboard. That’s 90% of skateboarding for some people. Also, he has a way of doing a fusion of street, ramp, and freestyle that not many skaters can do. He’s created his own style of skating. The pure freestyle guys in this video are really good.
Andy is my favorite skateboarder and I love his creative style but the freestyle kids are on a different level. A different planet. In the freestyle world.
Andy is second to none! But those other kids were killing it as well. Nice to see a place in skateboarding post 1990's for flat land skateboarding! Two thumbs up for the person that filmed this!!!
I came up during the same time, mid-late 90's. Street had really driven out freestyle by then, so it's great to see these demos happening. I don't think you can overstate how much Andy has helped in bringing it back.
Thank you for filming this. I only live a couple hours away from Mississauga. I am sad I did not know about this. I would have loved to come watch. Frickin' eh. It is great to see skateboarding is still going. Keep it up! Thanks again!

Andy's freestyle is a little rusty, which is understandable given that's not what he's really been focusing on the last several years. Nice video! Cool to see
Featured in this video: Ethan Young, Nick Beaulieu, Andy Anderson, and Orson Merry. The decks: Ethan is riding for Waltz. Orson is sponsored by Waltz and Devils Toy Skate Co. Nick is riding for Moonshine Skateboards. Andy Anderson for Powell-Parelta.
I do love watching Andy Anderson skate though. He skates for the pure joy of it. Where most free style skaters , to me, look tortured and restrained by the entire process. Andy skates...any and EVERYTHING.
If you follow freestyle skating you’d know that most of these guys are sponsored by freestyle brands trust me they got more steeze then Andy in the community Andy just brings light to it so don’t be too bothered that he’s the only named one. Just get into freestyle now folks!!
I love the Blake(from workaholics) vibes Andy gives. He's also very talented on that board. I've only just discovered this dude. That pink shirt dude was insane.
These guys were great. The commentators were a huge distraction. They still had a good time showing off their skills and hard earned effort. nice to see it's still alive.
I'm def ignorant to this but it seems like the other guys deserve their names in the title instead of the one who clearly did the worst, didn't care and was just goofin around. That first one in the rotation and the 15 y/o kid were pretty incredible.
Go watch ANY other video with Andy Anderson and you'll see why his name is in the title. He is one of the best street skaters in the world with a core passion for freestyling, but anyway, he's a popular name that helps pull the viewers in (case in point, myself). However, I DO agree that the others names should be more clearly acknowledged cuz they did some of the most insane freestyling ive seen in forever, they def deserve some love......in the video description at the very least
I wanna see Andy and Rodney Mullen do a skate collab Godfather of Skate and the Freestyle Prodigy would be SICK. I don't think Andy was bustin out his best here he was keepin it chill so the other guys could look good and have some spotlight as well. I've seen Andy pull of some WAY more wicked freestyle in other videos this was him being tame in comparison.
being good at freestyle is like being really good at math....add the digits so fast you get sponsord by cal tech.....or real excellent at the rubix cube so you get sponsored by a large hooby store in ur city. Overall it is sorta cool.... especially when Rodney or per welinder do it
For everyone in the comments, freestyle never went away or anything. RUclips is just picking it up in the algorithm. It's been strong since the early days of Rodney mullen
@@magicbox9371 filmed it at Jackalope Mississauga, Ontario. I was there for the street and vert contests only, just happened to be walking by and filled this flatground demo. Damn it's sick to see freestyle going strong in 2024, those other guys are gnarly as well. Thanks for sharing.
I remember seeing Rodney Mullen when I was a kid & it blew my mind 😮. Bring back vert ramps next!
Totally, but it doesn't look like the vocabulary has grown at all in the past 35 years! Maybe we'll see more as more people get into it again.
@@erichill7560 What do you mean by "grown"?
As well? They are better than AA at freestyle

Andy has become my favorite skater of the new age, the way he glides on that board and his humility. I hope he gets everything he deserves

Andy is definitely my new pro skater favorite that fact that he is a local lad only helps. He is a great Canadian ambassador so dang nice.

Rodney Mullen was doing this in the mid 1980’s and better than Andy Anderson or any Skater Today.
