- Chitubox has recently started advertising Conjure resin, a 3D printing resin that's available in both Rigid and Tough formulations. I was really impressed with the Tough resin, which allows you to make highly detailed models that aren't brittle. You can learn more about this resin in the links below!

Thanks for the review, we will follow the sugguestion and test more!
Great review, but still, which one for the Wargaming minis, that sometimes get dropped, etc.
Thanks for these review, it's helpful :-) I tried the resin (rigid version) in skin color. I am using a Sonic Mega 8k and when I saw that the recommended exposure time was 5/5.5 secs I thought "Naaaa" and used 3,5 secs. The print went well, but I must say it was a bit under exposed. It did had like a gummy, soapy feel...Then I tried their suggested settings (all of them and the 5 secs exposure time) and the print came out great but a tiny bit over exposed in my opinion. The print was endless with the Mega 8k with their settings...18 hours for two 1/6 heads. Now I am lowering a little bit the exposure time to 4.5 secs, to see if I notice any difference. Anyway I trowed to the floor the heads several times, in the end one of the ears chipped but overall the prints seem very rigid and good
Not disappointed :-)
5 seconds seems like a pretty long exposure, for sure!
Thanks for your review. I like the Tough resin for tabletop gaming minis. very durable-tough for gameplay & storage/travel handling.
Totally agree; it makes a big difference.
Hey bub, did you have any issues with extreme peel forces when using these resins? I recently had to switch back to regular FEP (after using nFEP/teflon for so long) and it sounded like explosions every layer. I had to knock down the lift speed a lot to stop that and also get rid of the z-lines that were happening because of it.
I have an Anycubic photon and I just cant get this resin to print at all, what settings do you suggest?
In my work we are exploring the option to print a tooling for a machine we have, we manufacture electronic parts, and a piece for that machine is being evaluated if we can print it on a Photon M3… which resin would be better for that purpose?
i am tryng to get the Excel file conjure resin profile 2021 09 12.xlsx, bur i cannot find it
can someone help me'
Thanks
👍
Can lowering exposure time affect sturdiness of resin? Or anything like that?
When you lower the exposure time too much, the layers don't stick together so they start to delaminate/separate and the model may stick to the FEP. Details also may not print entirely, some parts may be too skinny or too small, etc. Supports are easier to remove, but they may also fail. That's why it's a good idea to get as close to the ideal exposure as possible.
Once the print is done you clean it and throw it in a curing chamber, that's when it finishes curing to achieve its final properties.
FYI, just looked on Amazon, they are calling it Beige.
That’s great! I’m so glad they were open to feedback!
1. Fantastic topic on “skin” resin and 100% in alignment with you on that.
2. The details on those prints look so nice. Will have to try that resin out soon.
3. I almost always start at 2.0 for a mono screen printer. Crazy the default was 4.5
Agreed with everything!
why are you printing figures with prototyping resins?
Why not?
@@AndrewSink I believe it is a false representation of the capabilities of the resin. Is it not made for mechanical parts and hard surface mating parts such as gears or fans or housings? If so, then showing a toy sculpture and bending it is not representative of the original application of the resin. Hence my question.
