00:00 Intro
01:01 What is the Challenger sales model and how it can be effective?
02:28 Step 1: The warm-up
03:28 Step 2: Reframe the conversations
04:30 Step 3: use emotions
05:28 Step 4: The value proposition
06:18 Step 5: The product
The Challenger sales model book was written to redefine what it means to be a salesperson, separating sales professionals into five key types:
The Hard Worker goes the extra mile, doesn’t give up easily, is self-motivated and likes feedback and development.
The Relationship Builder builds strong customer advocates, generates customer loyalty.
The Lone Wolf follows their own instincts, is self-assured and independent.
The Problem Solver is reliable, ensures all of their customer’s problems are solved and is detail-oriented.
The Challenger has a different view of the world, loves to debate, pushes the customer to get out of their comfort zone.
The Challenger sales model explains why being a challenger will help you succeed in sales. Role models of challengers are always willing to make the customer think differently.

Very helpful as I study challenger to present to my sales team! I also like that it's presented by a guy wearing a sweater in a sauna.
🤣 just noticed the sauna... but it is a great video
😂😂😂😂😂
@@oliverhejny789 I’m
Used the tips in this video to ace an interview with a place I knew used the challenger sale methodology, even though this is my first sales job! Thanks for all the tips! You rock!
This is a really great summary! Thank you.
I like how the Challenger sale is really a story about how sales people grow in their understanding of the sales process, finishing their capabilities as a Challenger. Sad to see how this reality is presented as something different, that there are 4 types of sales people without recognition of the growing up of a salesperson. The reason is clear - this book was written by someone who is not in sales but is around salespeople a lot - like the Salesforce inside sales team that this author was managing.
Have you read the book?
@taronyoung5768 Yes and about 200 other books on sales worked in sales and sales management for over 40 years. That book was the manager of a sales development team and never sold themselves. That's something they even admit in their book.
So if you want to learn, start with sources written by salespeople
STARTING FROM IGNORANCE ISNT A STRENGTH
@@jonfreeman5267 no hate. Just a question. Also, as a 30 year vet, I would also say that having a non sales person give an outsider’s view is also beneficial.
I sold cereal, but never made cereal, so can I not suggest to the plant how to make what people need in a cereal?
Very Nice !!
Why are you in a sauna?
TOP!
It's powered by hot leads
We are founded in Estonia, where sauna is part of our cultural heritage.
I’ve been watching all these challenger intros … where is someone giving a real world example. I want a role play scenario.
They can't because the model is made of clay. It's nonsense
Quite similar to Straight line persuasion if you look closely to it.
I like this however have you looked at culture and sales outside of the USA. Selling in China or the UK is very different to what happens in the US. When you report to US company, leadership often thinks this is the only way.
I am always fascinated watching people talking nonsense about things they don't know/have never practiced
Is this Spokesperson standing in a sauna?
Bloke wears a jumper in the sauna wtf
The sauna isn't on 🤔
It’s hard to get past the music that starts to drive you insane no longer than one minute into the video.
There are so many errors and nonsense in this that I don't know where to begin
