Great video...
Metro North FL-9 in NYC heritage paint.
Yes
There was a GE Center Cab out there not long ago.
NYC!!!
Nice!
Good Railfanning!
Thanks!
3:40 that sounds soooo good all the way up to 4:20
High hoods upon high hoods, fallen flag units, this place has everything!
Yessir!
Welcome for the help. Glad you got some cool stuff
Yep. Thanks for helping track the trains
Man I should go out to lordstown next time nice catches!
Yeah! The only problem about Lordstown is that you can’t really see a whole bunch without trespassing. McDonald Yard if you get on the bridge then you’ll see practically everything in there
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 Are you allowed to go on the bridge and see it (LEGALLY)?
@@tylerwilliams1311 Not a clue. Never been the the McDonald OH yard if that’s the one you’re referring to
saddens me to see the NYC FL9 and the NS high hoods. Excellent footage.
Thank you
Wow! Just wow. Really great coverage of all this. Can’t cover it all in one comment haha.
Yep!!
So that's where 7803 went, damn. I never got to see it 😒 Amazing catches though dude, that's a lot of old power, even a blue/yellow Santa Fe bonnet! I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid lol
Lol yeah, I didn’t know 7803 was in there either! (Until I saw it of course) and that was a real shocker to me, because I thought that The B&P was still using it but they had to take off the logos
I was telling you to go for it! lol
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 that's what I thought too, but by time I went to Bradford to see it it was already gone. I just assumed they swapped it to another yard
@@716Railfan I was going to go the day after we talked about it, but I decided against it last minute. Oh well, it would've been a nice nostalgia piece
@@mattygunn693 If ya ever come down here again, you might be able to see it! Maybe.
Its very sad to see all this power being wasted like this! Very depressing to see those girls being scrapped. When they could be rebuilt and put back in service.
A common misconception is that LTEX scraps their power, in some cases that is true but almost all the power is fixed and leased to shortlines
If u find out anything about 7822 let us all know !
Buffalo and pittsburgh 7803 on google shows the conrail logos patched not shown
That’s on the other side I think
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 it showed both like that
@@jackstrainsnthings9738 They added back the decals this summer trying to make a Heritage Unit but since Conrail Shared Assets didn’t like them doing that, they had to remove the “Conrail” lettering. The logo still remains though
Man that is SAD to see in this video EX 7803 Pen Central then Conrail then B&P GP38-2 has seen it's last days i wander if her sister 7822 is with her ? rest in peace girls ! ! ! :( :(
Definitely sad to see
5:52 I was there in Lordstown on December 27 and some local brought in that TPW 4056 engine
Wow cool!
7803 :(
RIS
Rest in Storage
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 🙄 Thanks LTEX 😂
@@716Railfan Well still
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 It'll probably sit there rotting for a few decades like that FL-9
Hopefully someone buys it again
Are most of these engines still there or were these sold?
Most of them are still there to my knowledge
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 Excellent, Thanks.
I don’t get why csx isn’t using those engines, especially the AC4400 or the SD60I
Those are Dash 8s. All the SD60Is were either sent to scrap or storage, probably because they weren’t possible to upgrade with today’s FRA recommended technology
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 Yes, I believe CSX decided it was too expensive to upgrade the SD60s. Same with the Dash-8's. They decided the better investment was to buy hundreds of new GEVOs
Is all that equipment going to be scrapped or is it for sale/lease?
It’s a leasing company, but some of it is getting scrapped like the NS SD40-2s but other than them I’m not sure
A lot of good stuff on here. Nicely done !!!
Thanks!
Nice
Welcome to the new castle sub the not the best but not the worst
Yessir! I’m definitely makin another train to the New Castle when the weather gets warmer
Awesome!!!
Thanks man!!
Awesome
Thx Dane
Nice catch! Did you catch UP 1989 in Illinois? It passed Elmhurst yesterday and a lot of people including me caught it
I love nowhere near Illinois sadly
Oh
Silly me it says it in your name lol
Lol. Also I like your channel banner
Northern Ohio Railfanning Productions Thanks I like urs too
We're is the place we're you see the YN2 Mac?
Lordstown, Ohio
That's a SD60M look at the marker lights
This is 8 hours from me. I wanna go so bad now.
oof. Its an epic place.
They will rust away to nothing, because of where they're stored. What a waste.
If they were donated to the Nevada Rail Museum they could last forever in the desert.
Obviously they no plan to ever use them again, why take a tax write off?
They aren't really rotting away, the people at LTEX make sure (most of them) are in running condition so that if say a shortline or other railroad needs to lease them, they can easily be shipped out via the CSX Mainline nearby to the RR leasing it.
Where is this and how do you get to it
Lordstown Ohio like in the title, and if you follow the CSX mainline youll be able to find it, I'm not very familiar with the area.
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 ok thanks I remember you guys from Marion a few years back
Very cool stuff!! I'm surprised that they still have that F unit! And there's 7803...😭😭😭
That is a lot of NS GP38s!!
11:30 - Trump train! 😂
Yep! It’s really a sight to see, all the rarities in one place. Too bad none are operating 🙁
Nice!
Thanks Will!
