NO BEFORE YOU ASK YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GO BACK THERE ITS PRIVATE PROPERTY YOU CAN GET FINED FOR THIS! IK THE OWNER SO THATS WHY IM ALLOWED NO TRESPASSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I forgot that one of the New York Central-painted FL9s was taken to Ohio. That was originally a New York New Haven & Hartford locomotive since the New Haven was the only railroad to order FL9s from the manufacturer and that unit you saw eventually made its way to Metro-North where they painted it up as well as its sister locomotive #2013 in the New York Central lightning stripe paint scheme, so they are basically New York Central "heritage units" in at least one way, and the New York Central never had FL9s. What are they going to do with the FL9 #2012? I would hope it goes to a museum.
Nice that he's working on it and that you plan on keeping your viewers informed on the updates of the FL9 and probably some of the other diesel locomotives in this yard. I also like the F40s and the Genesis diesels and I hope that they have good futures ahead along with the FL9. It's cool that you know the owner of the yard and that he gave you permission to access his yard, there's quite a variety of diesel locomotives there.
FYI the Pan Am 619-604-600-606 are leaving East Deerfield MA tonight on train EDRJ (East Deerfield MA to Rotterdam Jct NY) Full lineup is MEC 3403-3401-3402-3404-619-604-600-606

That New York Central is really something! I hope it wasn't there to be scrapped!
Awesome video Owen, also I went railfanning at Cumberland & I caught some RARE & EPIC stuff in the storage yards & the stuff I saw were: - the “Spirit of Nashville” (CSX #4589) was there - a YN2 SD40-2 - a EX-CR Dash-8 (#7389) - a MP15AC (#1152) - a yard slug - a SD50-2 (#8562 I think) - and Lots of SD70MAC’s, Dash 8’s & 9’s, GP38-2’s, 40-2’s, And Road Slugs.
Nice trains. I would love to arrange a visit there in the future. As long as the owner of the area would allow a visit. Great video and please keep up the great work!
The complex from what I know was built in 1942 and decommissioned in 1969 was used as an ammunition depot. I might be wrong on that. Anywho. It was used for companies to move into the warehouses and set up shop and was called the Space Center till around the Late 90's. Then called the Commerce Center. Went up for sale and sold to 2 brothers who live in Howland. They buy locomotives and repair them and sell them. They have Lots and Lots of them. I been there since 93. Take Care
FYI you should see these three locos there whenever Pan Am ships them out west from East Deerfield MA. MEC 604 SD40-2 MEC 600 SD40-2 (some say it's a -3) MEC 606 SD40-2 Snoot Nose These 3 listed took their last ride on Pan Am train POED on March 13th/14th. They will be shipped out from East Deerfield MA eventually lol. MEC 619 SD40M-2 (SD45 carbody) will be the last one to leave Waterville Maine. It was supposed to go with the other 3 but had either an air issue or stuck break which caused it to be left behind.
MEC 619 was shipped out of Waterville Maine on the 14th/15th and then went west on POED on the 15th. POED (Portland Maine to East Deerfield MA) the train it is on was tied down in Athol MA as of this morning 3/16
If the old locomotives and rolling stock from Amtrak are in storage or about to be withdrawn then I think an Amtrak Museum should be built so that they’ll enter the joy of preservation. I’m not so sure if that museum will exist.
8:30 So that's where NYC 2012 went. I wish it went to a museum but I guess not anytime soon. Its partner, 2013, is now preserved at the Danbury Railway Museum.
Good stuff! Love the AMTKs! When I went in August I saw IORY 3221 (I&O SD40-2) sitting in the front of the yard. It looked like it was about to be transported somewhere but I basically can’t find ANY information about it online. Do you happen to know anything about or if it went to if and where it was transported? The paint looked somewhat fresh.
Railfan Owen- Gotcha. Yea I asked Scott Taipale if he had seen it yet because he catches quite a few I&O trains and he said he still hasn’t seen it so I was just wondering where it went since the time I saw it.
Do you happen to know if Ex Pan Am MEC 608 610 613 617 & 618 are still there or did they get scrapped ? Also are the LTEX 8955 2964 & 6528 still around ? Thanks in advance -Hayden
Where is this located at? Would love to check the place out! I understand they don’t let you inside, but it be good to take some photos there if they happen to approve.

TomedysTrains well those maybe getting scrapped or used for parts
That would be unfortunate for them if that were true.

Haase's House O' Science wow really?
Railfan Owen yeah! I saw a bunch of videos of #8532.
Amtrak seems always to be power short and here are quite a few P40 units ripe for rebuilding…sad!

The Pan Am engines
MEC 606-600-604-619 were in Upstate NY on CSX train Q635 on 4/12
Is No One Gonna Talk About The EX-NYC Unit...... [slams hammer to head
They're too young, Mich Northern had a pair of Del/Hudson Sharks up here in Cadillac in the 70s no one talks about them either :)
Some units survive like Nokias, others like Dodo birds
8:30 So that's where NYC 2012 went. I wish it went to a museum but I guess not anytime soon. Its partner, 2013, is now preserved at the Danbury Railway Museum.
From what I heard. The Museum is trying to buy it for preservation. Guess we will see how that goes
I don't have a favorite locomotive model.I like em all.
Wow! That's a treasure trove of rare units! I wish I had permission to go back here and get some pictures!
Great video. I'd like the yellow center cab and the FL-9. ♡ T.E.N.
These all Locomotives seems like they are crying!
Very good this vídeo
I've always been interested in this place.
Love the rail fanning on the ground as opposed to rail fanning above head via drone
Thanks
Welp, there’s every unit I want to see in a 15 minute video lol
😂

Galaxy Railfanning idk probably check ups or something
Railfan Owen- That would make sense. Also did you see that CSX joined in on the AC44C6M program? That’s gonna be interesting to see.
Galaxy Railfanning oooooo this should be very interesting 🤔
That is a lot of treasures in that yard.
That ex sp unit should be a b36 dash 7
Thanks man!
@@railfanowen9372 no problem dude
Good video
What is the location of this establishment?
Sorry if I am talking like a business man LOL.
Lordstown Ohio BUT PRIVATE PROPERTY
BUT GOOGLE MAPS!
I really wish this was accessible like the area by the bridge (only area I've been)
I could spend all day looking around
I saw 1212 in rubber city rails 4
i so want a set of train horns for my truck..lol
A lot of goodies
I just realized that that New York Cental Unit has a 4 wheel truck and a 6 wheel truck.
It’s diesel or electric. The triple bogey is for running into New York central on electric 3rd rail.
is that called B + C ?
FL-9. ♡ T.E.N.
@@Wag2112 Yes. Also known as a BO'CO'
The Pan Am 619 604 600 & 606 arrived into Selkirk NY today 4/7 per a post on Facebook
Pretty soon you’re gonna be seeing the NS F units in there
Virginian Railfanner / planespotter 1069 lol I hope so I’ll be in all of them 😂
Lol
The RBMN actually bought them from NS. I seen it on the NSDash-9 Facebook page.
That is a pretty cool place
That's so cool! Any parts that come out of there? Bells? Horns? Anything I can buy, lol? Or are these not being parted out?
Yea I wish but nope I did get a conrail horn cover though

@@railfanowen9372 had a feeling. Oh well! Sometime eventually. Plus I know someone else who works near a place in Granite City.
BRO YOU JUST FOUND PHASE IV P40DCs!! All will be gone before 2030 and replaced with chargers. Yeesh how many engines are on the roster?
A
LOT
There’s still about atleast 205 ish left on the roster, rest have either been retired due to mechanical issues, age, or crashes
How does this guy manage to buy all these things? Is he like a bagillionare?
Excellent footage!!!! is the ex ns 5106 OR 5137 still there? Sad seeing all of those units not just the NS ones sitting there.
CSX 7335 went there in early November. Did you see it at all?
East Carolina Railfanning no but I do have a video of 7332
Rumor has it that the new York central get cut up
Those P40s… sad to see them this way which is why I favored the P40DC out of all Genesis series because not that many remaining in active service.
Where was that
Classified info
Railfan Owen My guess is lordstown Ohio but I will never know.
Winkelmann Channel yea your right lol I was waiting for you to guess I said the name in the video
Are the Amtrak F40s and P40s still there?
