But for the past few years, the prices of these mooncakes have gone up ridiculously high. I have finally decided to make my own this year. All your videos are so detailed, it's so easy to follow. I am proud to say my snow skin mooncakes was a success. But of course, not as pretty as yours :p. Will definitely be using the same recipe again and try out different flavour one next year.

You can divide the recipe in half! The technique is all the same you might just have to decrease the time you steam the snow skin since a small batch would cook faster

Sure can! I saw that a lot of people needed to substitute wheat starch so I've been testing all my snow skin mooncakes with cornstarch and it works just fine:)

I've never tried them out but I think they should work just fine and perhaps only slightly alter the flavour. Let me know how it goes!

Can switching the type of starch for the skin (potato starch instead of corn) can influence the consistency of the skin?
it might change the texture of the skin but it most likely won't be a major difference
