    If you upgraded to a Bt-30 Atc spindle you could add a tool changer, both from aliexpress, and ran a fly cutter to resurface.
    While I’m sure it worked out for you I’m also sure you realize the end mill leaves surface imperfections despite whether you can visually feel them when compared to the cross section of a fly cutter, or shell mill where either would’ve finished in 4 passes with an overlap. Nice work btw. Master tech and engineer here so familiar with your projects.

    • @SeabassEngineering
      @SeabassEngineering  11 месяцев назад

      These types of spindles spin way too fast for running a fly cutter. 6k is as slow as they will realistically go without losing all torque, but I would love a bt-30 atc spindle

    Please, let there be a part two. This is the same block I have and I may be in need of skimming the head due to the cursed corner leak typical of these engines. Might just go ahead and upgrade q few more things while I'm at it

    You did great work!
    What can i say i think lining (leaning?) seals for cilinders are too thin because oem sealings are much fatter. maybe under preassure, temperature and oil they begin to be much fatter / filler?
    Ending part: I wil not recommend to lubricate innner part of sealing sump with silicone. It should be only lubricated from outer part (from sealing sump). Leakeges are often but if we gone dirty this side it will be problem for future repleacments.

    Great video. Have You though off doing some support for that open deck or is it not an issue for this specific setup and motor? For alot of the honda and subaru open decks they do a dowl pin insert between the block and the top of the sleeves to stop the sleeves from wanting to move laterally.

    • @SeabassEngineering

      I plan to use a Rallye head, but it needs a lot of work to be possible with these pistons. Mostly the squish areas need to be entirely removed. I plan to use the CNC to do this in a future video
