This reinterpretation is IMPRESSIVE. Like, seriously, this is one of my favorite tracks from the entire Legacy of Kain series, and your rendition is simply outstanding. It gave me the chills from beginning to end! It starts gloomy and ends up turning just epic.

You do such a good job of keeping close enough to the original to make it recognizable, but take it in a new direction that makes it feel very fresh and interesting. I'd love to see a LoK movie or series - your reinterpretations would fit perfectly.
If a proper remake or remaster of SR1/SR2 were to be done I would hope they'd hire you to do the music. An honestly perfect re-rendition of the original song and style.
Thanks, you're too kind! Honestly, while I would absolutely love to do it of course, I'd just be happy if they did ANYTHING with the series at this point. A full remake of SR1 would be the best possible way to reintroduce the series to a modern audience, but that's probably too much to ask I guess... People these days have such short attention span, that I don't even know if it would be well received.
Honestly I can see all your tracks being used in a remaster or remake of the games. Great stuff.
The elements added feel just about right. Sublime - yet effective. Drawn back, yet - very much in your face. And then, the choir opening the door at 3:11 to a cinematic encapsulation followed by the typical Soul Reaver theme. Then the timeless strings at 3:51, defying the time itself. Then crescendo at 4:42, sublime chanting, perpetual choir, exact strings. And then, a very sad truth. The composition ended, just like this lovely weekend. :>

Dumah is my favorite. I have always listened to his clan OSTs. This is an amazing remake of those! Well done Kurt!

Holy fuck you did amazingly. I remember when I listened to Misko’s interpretation of Ruined City. His experimentation while interesting in my opinion lost a lot of the dramatic flair that Lok’s music is known for, in exchange for a much more tense horror ambience. You managed to interpret it in a way that keeps the essence of the original while doing your own thing very well!
Also adding dumah’s specific mixes of it was genius as each version is very much the same song but heavily altered to fit the mood very well!
Thank you! Yes, that's what I was trying to convey, I did my own thing but tried to keep it close enough to the original vibe.
I love Misko's interpretations too, he's a beast, but he definitely takes it to another level of experimentation with a lot of edgier and heavier electronic elements, whereas I tend to keep it a bit more 'traditional' so to speak.

wow The Dumahim theme set is one of the most significant musical moments of my life and I rather prefer the original mournful 'Carmina Burana' vibes of it, but your way of approach is really impressive. Especially the world and taiko(referring to the "ronin" aspect of dumahim maybe?) elements. Nice job.

Thanks! I love Bear McCreary's music for sure, although any similarities are purely coincidental, we tend to carry our influences on what we do, so I'll take that as a compliment.

Thanks! I'd like to get them onto Spotify, but since it's not really original music, in those types of platforms usually you have to get actual license from the original copyright owners and all that, which is understandable, but might be costly and complicated. RUclips is a bit less strict with that stuff. But I'd have to really look into it and see what's possible.

Obrigado! Não sei qual som te referes ao certo, mas uso uma variedade de VSTs para os sons orquestrais, uma mistura de Albion One, 8DIO Anthology Strings, Metropolis Ark 1, por aí. O resto vem de vários outros, incluindo alguns da Factory Library do Kontakt e alguns freebies da Strezov Sampling, por aí. O coro é mesmo o sample original usado no jogo.

@@DavidRattlz97 Se for o que som que estou a pensar, é um orchestral chime/tubular bell. Qualquer biblioteca de percussão orquestral deverá ter o instrumento. Ali acho que usei da East West Symphonic Orchestra, já bem antiguinho. Se quiseres falar de mais alguma cena, manda mensagem no insta.
