- Since quite a number of people seem to enjoy my Blood Omen reinterpretations, here's another one.
This time I tackle the 'Awakening' track. This one always stood out to me, it's just so perfect for that early part of the game. Anyway, hope you like my version.

Vae Victus -- suffering to the conquered. Ironic that now I was the one suffering. Not anything as pedestrian as physical pain. Rather the cruel jab of impotent anger -- the hunger for revenge. I didn't care if I was in Heaven or Hell -- all I wanted was to kill my assassins. Sometimes you get what you wish for. The Necromancer Mortanius offered me a chance for vengeance. And like a fool, I jumped at his offer without considering the cost. Nothing is free, not even revenge.

I haven't felt that eerie, outworld feeling of dread and despair along with the slight cold touch of comfort since I was only a child and first experienced the Awakening.
This is a true tribute to Legacy of Kain. Thank you for this! Please do consider doing more on the original Blood Omen!

Like Blood Omnicide, but much better. Added sound effects in the background like the crows, screams and whispers make it lot better than any interpretation of this soundtrack I've heard. Awesome work dude.

I'll never forget the feeling of renting this game from the video shop...(I thought the cover art was cool and thwle game looked kinda fun from the back of the case) then, hearing this music, hearing the voice acting and KNOWING I was playing something special, my LoK fan days had just begun..if they remake or remaster these games..I PRAY someone contacts you for the work.
Thanks! I had already played Soul Reaver before BO, but man, when Kain walks out of the mausoleum and this track starts playing with the rain and Kain's monologue... I was imediately hooked!
Its great. Im fan of the series for years but expierienced the blood omen 1 game first time in the 2024. Im so hooked, it really did age the best of all 5 games!! Superior vibes

Your rearranged OSTs have some powerful Unreal vibe to them, they're as vibrant as they're incredibly atmospheric. It is amazing!! I hope you get a chance to compose original OST stuff for videogames someday.

I love how intense this feels! Almost like actually going through "newborn" fledgling Kain's perspective as he escaped his mausoleum...feels perfect for the spooky season, too! ☠️🖤

Hey, thank you very much! I'd love that too, as unlikely as it may be... Even so, I'm very happy that my LOK arrangements are interesting enough for so many people. It just shows just how great and open minded the LOK fanbase is, and I love that! Let's hope that a new game comes out in the next few years.

Got introduced to your music through the Soul Reaver track you did for the HD Remaster project, this is just astounding. I hope you have plans to do more LOK tracks, your talent is more than evident. Keep up the awesome work.

All the motives you've added here are so intricately put together, which is obviously expected from someone who likes LoK to begin with.
This must've been the same exact thing Kain went through upon awakening to the pain of a new existence, in a dank womb of darkness and decay. :>
I must say, It reminded me a bit of another of my favourite games. Castlevania : SOTN. There's a specific composition called "Requem for the Gods". I expected that voice to follow here, sounded very similar at the start.
Also, I had to listen to this 5 times just because.
Now, I think we're making a tradition here.

Symphony of the Night is ony of my favourites actually! I actually did a remix of 'Requiem for the Gods' a good while ago, but it's a more energetic 16-bit style version. Maybe not your cup of tea, but check it out if you have the chance. :)

I'll eventually get to it, but probably not for some time.
Its more than enjoyable.
You seem to like to go slower and put more athmosphere in between the original tones if I see a pattern here.
Would you also be able to "drama things up" a bit and stay on the pace of lets say Nupraptors Elegy. That was beginning slow going to become a quite fast paced track as I remember. Or Ariels Lament which had its drama in its burning despair.
Anyway, would love to hear more from you.
