- A reinterpretation of the track 'On The Road To Vengeance' from the first Blood Omen game from 1996.
A great moody track from one of the most atmospheric games I've ever played, largely due to it's memorable soundtrack and great voice acting. It brings a lot of memories for me.
Music by Steve Henifin
Arranged by Nuno M. Barradas
Artwork is from Blood Omen's original concept art
In memory of Steve Henifin

*"I am the last Pillar. The only survivor of the Circle of Nine. At my whim, the world will be healed... or damned. At my whim.''*
And then this version of the song plays...
This is an amazing tribute to Steve Henifin's original composition.
Rest in Peace, Steve.
Kain's Mausoleum, Nupraptor's Theme, Malek's Bastion, and Elzevir The Dollmaker, all tracks that I would kill to hear you cover someday.
Oh man, I've thought about all of those! Unfortunately I haven't had a lot of time lately to devote to these musical endeavours, but my plan is to make arrangements for all the main tracks, because I pretty much love them all. It's probably going to take a looong time, but hopefully I'll get to them eventually. Next in line is likely 'Awakening to the World'.
He's almost there, Elzevir's theme is already available to watch/hear
This is one of my favorite themes in the entire series and this is an amazing remake.
Not only is this an amazing new composition while staying faithful to the original, I also love the story it tells. From the start where Kain ponders his new existence among the forest, to the transition at 1:25 into millitaristic marching drum beats as he gains purpose and embarks on his quest in search of answers and vengeance. It's clear the amount of passion that went into this.
As one of the team members of Blood omnicide, I covered this theme and others from the game many years ago. I like your version a lot. Great work!
Hey! Thanks a lot! I've actually played a bit of Blood Omnicide recently after hearing about it for years, and I loved it of course, it really breathes new life into the game. It's a shame it never got finished from what I understood... But really amazing work you guys did, a true passion project that deserves all recognition it can get.
@@biodynamic91 Yes, a lot of people awaited its completion. The website is still online. Maybe one day they will dust it off and resume the project. What really bugs me though is that so many LOK games where advanced in the process of making but got shut down, both commercial and fan projects.
This is such a gorgeous interpretation of the original. I really like how you took a lot of the folksier elements of the original and expanded upon them massively. I really wish to see an extended version of this piece or even other tracks from the series. Great work!
I loved your choice to use the flute motif to end the song. Your reinterpretation really conveys the loneliness of Kain's journey - an epic quest with a melancholic ending.
If Blood Omen ever get a remake, I want you to be the musician of that game
Pure Passion. Pure Art.
gorgeous. I can't believe people are this fanatical about the original soundtrack these days. Used to feel like I was the only one.
Holy shit this is fucking AWESOME...if they ever remade BO1 this must definitely be included
This sounds great!
LOK OST always makes me shed a tear, thank you for making this
Damn fine work
I think this reinterpretation have simultaneously some "new age" vibe of original and new martial
eoclassical mood.
I think I actually prefer this rendition.
Goddamn fantastic
Wow this is amazing, you really captured the feel of the original. I hope you cover more songs from this game.
Thanks! I've actually uploaded an arrangement of Vorador's Mansion a few days ago in case you haven't checked it out yet. Will certainly do a couple more arrangements from the game in the future.
Can't wait for Nupraptor's theme, it's one of the best in the game honestly.
It's so hard to find interesting fan material on Blood Omen. Love the game and it's OST, and you struck gold there. Amazing rendition. Your other ones on the game too. Hope you make more.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your words. I'm still amazed that so many people are enjoying some of my stuff and taking the time to leave encouraging comments like yours, it really gives me motivation to keep doing more, which I certainly will!
Brilliant! 🎶
Wow, thank you very much! That means a lot coming from you. I love your channel, I've been following you for quite some time!
@@biodynamic91 Cool! I appreciate that! I love this game and I think you did a great job on this track!
Great work. Good to see there're still people fond of the series
Thanks! Yeah, it's very much a forgotten series these days, but I think those of us who've played it back in the day will always be very fond of it. I'm always hoping for some sort of comeback someday...
@@biodynamic91 And it will, my friend, because fate promises more twists before this drama unfolds completely..
@@lucastettamanzi4086 vae victis!😈👍
With the drums, the flutes and the chorus, I'm reminded of Beast Wars. I guess the 90's just loved those instruments.
They sure did!
@@biodynamic91 Here's anothe great example. ruclips.net/video/lmeeO-qVF-k/видео.html
A masterpiece ❤
This really gives off that eternal darkness feeling which was also by the same composer, ive always liked legacy of Kain more but eternal darkness is also great.
You will have the blood that you hunger for!
nothing is free, not even revenge
Your reinterpretations are something else
Can we get a 10 hr version? This was godlike :')
Elden Ring came out recently and my favorite part of it's atmosphere is how it feels like Middle-Earth and then, as smoothly as it can, transition to feeling like Nosgoth. There are moments where I'm riding my horse through forgotten forest roads or trudging my way on foot through the highlands and I just lose myself in the moment as I start thinking and humming along with the pan flute and low ambience of this song.
Hits nostalgia that has long since been untouched. Beautiful rendition of some of my first exposure to atmospheric music, my guy.
Thank you! I'm playing Elden Ring too, and I can totally see where you're coming from. Breathtakingly beautiful and brutal game. Imagine a Blood Omen remake with these sort of graphics and mechanics? My god, what a colossal game that would be...
It'd only work if it still had Amy Hennig in the writing chair, but my heart yearns to hear Simon's harsh delivery of Kain's fatalistic cynicism in an environment like the Lands Between.
Well done
Absolutely awesome video thanks for uploading it it really is absolutely amazing work! 🙂👍
This is awesome. Love the artwork too
This is really wonderful
Got some mad shadow of the beast vibes.
This is fantastic
This is truly great work, this is one of my favourite tracks from the series. Fantastic.
Thanks, that means a lot to me!
well done!
Amazing!
"COELOCANTH - Shriekback" vibes
Is that celtic and slavic in the theme when the flute played. Beautiful music I can actually feel the pain in kain transformation.
Mais um excelente trabalho!
Eh amigão! Muito obrigado!
A modern take of a classic.
Hoping to see what your rendition of both Kain's theme and Ozar Midrashim.
0 dislikes this track is wonderful
Thanks! Hey, there's bound to be some sooner or later, but I'm pretty happy that people are liking it enough to leave positive feedback! :)
muito bom trabalho amigo! abraço
Obrigado amigo Canadas! Abraço
You need to do a cover of the music the fist time he leaves the masoluem and enters the graveyard.
That's the next one!
More L.O.K. please
A bit late but just found you
More!
I plan on doing more Blood Omen stuff soon for sure.
This game begs for a remake.
100% agreed.
This is amazing. Also, kinda feels like Gargoyles a bit?
We might get a new game in the future. Square Enix sold off Legacy of Kain and Tomb Raider and Deus Ex today.
Now that seem to be great news! Nothing is guaranteed of course, but one can only hope for the series return.
